Great Budget Hotel in Central Kensington Location”
This is a budget hotel (no frills) in a great location, with wonderful staff and a nice feel about it. Everyone is very helpful The beds are comfortable and they have nice plump feather pillows. They have kettles in every room, with tea/coffee, but make sure to bring eye shades since they have blinds on the windows not curtains so if you want to sleep before sunrise you need them. The walls are thin do you can hear your neighbors, but bring a sound machine and that blocks out traffic noise as well. If you want a luxury hotel look elsewhere, but if you want a budget hotel for just a place to sleep this is very good value.

Pleasant stay”
Nice clean hotel, basic room but that’s what I paid for, plenty of towels, mini shampoos etc, four pillows on a double bed two flatter pillows and two plump pillows which seems very thoughtful as I could get the right height for me and had a very comfortable sleep. The man on reception was very nice and helpful. The carpet on the stairs really needs replacing as it’s very worn but that didn’t really affect my stay. I would definitely stay again.

Exceptional”
Stayed for one night with my 2 young children. It’s ideally located for the museums or jumping in the tube to other landmarks. Clean and tidy throughout with friendly staff and good breakfast.

Yep. All good.”
I've stayed here many times now, on business and usually for a couple of nights at a time. I was in room 303 this time. I've already reviewed the hotel and commented on the good and bad points, and nothing's really changed since last time. Room 303 had an almost impossibly tiny bathroom - I dropped my toothpaste at one point and realised I couldn't simply bend down to pick it up - there wasn't enough room! But yeah . . . apart from that, it was great. Oh, and bizarrely, someone had unplugged the aerial for the television; I'm guessing this happened when they tried to change the television's angle, but then never plugged it back in again. Can you imagine the thought processes: "Hmmmm. This programme I'm watching is great, but if only I could change the angle of the television slightly. Oh, I can! It's adjustable. Right. So I'll just turn it this way slightly. Oh - that's weird, the programme stopped - the reception's gone. Ah well. Never mind. I'll go to bed then."

Mostly pretty good”
I've stayed here a few times now, travelling on business for a couple of nights. Anyway, I was in room 010 this time, a basement double room that looked out over some kind of outdoor bar / restaurant / thing. Again, I had a slight issue with the blinds over the windows, as these didn't shut very well and there was a missing louvre. Music and conversation from the bar outside could easily be heard (I think most of the windows in this hotel are single glazed) and went on until about midnight, or thereabouts. This wasn't a particular raucous bar, and you often have to expect some background noise when staying over in London, but something to bear in mind nonetheless. I've stayed in other hotels (and, indeed, other rooms in the same hotel) that have been a lot quieter. Anyway, that aside . . . the staff are always great here and I didn't have many issues about the room itself. I would happily recommend this place for a couple of nights.

Comfortable night's sleep in a great location for visiting London.”
We really enjoyed our stay at Lexham Gardens. We struggle usually to find accomodation for 5 people so really helpful this is possible at your accommodation. It's in a fantastic location for Natural History and Science museums. A great value stay with breakfast which is ideal for families.

I wonder what happened to the diffuser thing they had on the counter for a while?”
Yeah. They had this diffuser thingy on the counter, looked like it was made of bamboo. Kind of spherical, but with a spout in the middle out of which pleasantly scented steam (or something?!) came out. I kind of liked it. It's gone now. Oh yeah. The hotel room. I knew I was here for something. Yeah, it was good. I've stayed here many times now. I like this hotel and the staff. It's just cheap and cheerful, you know? I was in room 404 and my only slight issue was the shower. Took forever to get warm or, indeed, change temperature. Pressure was really bad as well. It kind of worked eventually though.

Good option for London”
Our room was small, a little old and it had a bit of a strange smell. The bed was comfortable. What we liked most about this hotel was the location and breakfast. It’s located in the Kensington neighborhood with lots of restaurants and close to two metro stops. Breakfast was great with lots of options like cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast with many spreads, hot choices like eggs, sausage, potatoes, beans etc.

Great place to stay”
I'm regular business traveller and have stayed at 1 Lexham Gardens several times. I was in room 02 this time. Everything was fine with the room. Only slight problem being the outdoor / pop-up bar thing that was right outside the window. There's usually the sound of music and voices until about midnight, although this never gets raucous. Can't help but feel that better windows would shield out a lot of the noise, but then room rates would probably go up to finance this, so . . . maybe it's better the devil you know. Anyway, yeah . . . great hotel, great location . . . staff always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

All good, once again”
I think the staff are starting to recognise me here, as I've stayed here many times now. The check-in process is more a case, "You're in room 007," as they pass over the key card thingy. So yeah . . . the staff are great, the location's great . . . I've probably said all this before. I was in a basement single room this time, 007, and it was absolutely fine. Can't complain. I think last time I may have had an issue with the radiator, but the room was at about the right temperature this time. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Great hotel”
Regular business traveller, staying for two nights at a time. I was in the basement room 001 this time. The room was a bit noisy, as there's some kind of outdoor bar thing outside, that seems to be undergoing a bit of a revamp. It seems to shut before midnight though. Also, this room seemed to be right below the dining area and reception, so a lot of moving around going on above. Oh, and the lift shaft too - that was nearby. Hmmmm, anyway, can't really do much about a lot of this. Still, apart from all that, the room was great.

Great budget hotel and in a brilliant location”
You know, I'm kind of reticent to give too good a review in case other travelers make a bee-line for this place and suddenly I find I can't get a room any more. Anyway . . . hmmmmm. I've stayed here a few times now and the reviews from previous stays still stand. I was in room 006 this time. My only minor quibble: the wooden Venetian blinds didn't fit the windows properly, so there were gaps on either side. Apart from that, all good.

Bit of a regular here”
Stayed here many times now, as a business traveler staying usually for two nights. Stayed in room 212 this time, which had one of the largely bathrooms. Yep, once again, all good. Nothing really to whinge about. The staff are great here and are starting to recognise me (I think I mentioned this last time). I work in central London but the cost of public transport (all within zone 1) means this is fantastic value for money.

I keep thinking the bathrooms are getting smaller and smaller . . .”
Frequent business traveler to this hotel. Stayed in room 311 this time. All good, as usual, but this room had a fantastically tiny bathroom. If you make the mistake of dropping anything on the bathroom floor, good luck in trying to contort yourself in order to pick the item up - might as well just leave it there. Craziness. Great hotel though, apart from that.

Usually kind of okay”
I stayed in room 312 this time and there were a few issues. The vertical blind over the window had definitely seen better days, with one or two missing louvres, meaning that privacy was compromised. I had to use a towel to cover up the window. The water flow from the shower was best described as a dribble, with the temperature seemingly having a life of its own, but veering more towards the cold. TV remote was missing. Telephone was on the floor, as if the cleaners had knocked it off the table and left it there. Items of rubbish left on the floor: empty plastic bottle, some kind of tissue. But apart from all this, everything else was great.
