Short Stay with great experience”
Staff were accommodating. Hostel provides basic toiletries. The place is clean. 2min walk to Jollibee which is great. The only downside is that you can hear the cars outside especially when it honks. But nonetheless, we had a great time in 8th Street Hostel. good job!

A comment says hot shower is broken, but hot shower was available both 1st floor and 2nd floor. the doom rooms on the 2nd floor face the big street and a bar, so it was noisy until midnight. the capsule rooms on the 1st floor are not noisy.

Only downside was the noisy bar across the street, but they stopped the music around 12am on a Saturday night. All in all very good stay, staff was friendly.

First off all Clifford behind the front desk is brilliant. Anything you need or ask he knows and helps. Helped plan my next move and wrote it all down step by step. So clean and tidy. Your bed is cleaned every day. Showers are hot. So much space even in the cheaper fan room. Massive chill area, has music not too loud. Restaurant with good options including veggie ... cheap-reasonable prices. I stayed in a horrible place for more money and it felt like such an upgrade here. LOVE IT!!

A nice hostel”
I had a pleasant stay. The staffs are accomodating. They even let me leave my luggage after I check out so I can roam around the city center.I can't say anything about the dorm room since I only stayed for overnight and when check in everything is clean. The location is a bit noisy at night since its close to some pub but no problem for me.

Capsule experience was great. The location is good as well as you can just walk a couple of meters and ride the jeepneys going downtown or elsewhere. Airconditioning is good. Wifi works although there's a time we can't connect. Probably because there were a lot of guests. But overall experience was great, clean spaces and staff was nice.

Beat value for money ”
For the price that you pay the hostel is more than great. Location is good, dorms is spacious and clean, everyone has their own space. As well, this is my first Phillipino hostel with hot water, they even gave me tooth brush and paste. I've got to give huge compliments to the staff. Both- day and night shift guys are extremely polite and helpful. I wish other hostels would have at least half proffesional and nice staff as those! Definitely recommended hostel.

The place is in the heart of the city so everything is so accessible Not so near and not so far from the airport The staffs were corteuos Their airconditioning is the best. Very fast wifi. Tip: book in advance! Its much cheaper booking online than walk-ins. I paid only 248/night online, you have to pay 450/night doing walk ins. For a hostel? 9/10

Worst experience!”
The whole point of staying in a hostel rather in an airport was to sleep. However, they had so many last minute bookings and guests come in and out the whole night. Staffs change the bed linens and toilets every time a guest leave and ON the lights. Guests also come for an hour or two. Could not sleep at all. The place was clean and staffs are nice. More than a hostel it felt like i was on a local bus. Worst hostel experince! The management must ensure the guests have a good rest and close walk in booking after a certain time. Atleast the giests will know after 11 or 12 they can have a good sleep.

We stayed in the dorm.room with A/C.The bed was ok,but therw was a winsow to the street so we heard noise of traffic and loud music in the evening. Bathroom was also ok,exept the mashroom growing iin front of the door.🤣 If you want to lock your stuff,you have to get the key from reception and give them ID as a deposit or I gave 200P,because i didn't want to be without my passport. There is free drinking water available and good wifi. Only the stuff wasn't friendlythey barely said hello to us or smile.So we didn't even try to ask,where we can go to find some streetfood or for other tips.So for one or two nightd ok,but don't expect anything special.

I would recommend this place and will book again. Sulit ung bayad mo since i book this place for 250+php per night in private capsule bed. Malamig, hot and cold shower, neat bed and with toiletries. Wag ka lang maxado mg.expect at wag maxadong demanding sa place kasi nga sharing, dormitory type may mga taong burara at maingay (so wag burara at maingay). Magdala na lng kau ng octopus type ng outlet kasi ako ng.chacharge ako ng powerbnk at phone since isa lng kasi ung saksakan dun. Don't leave ur valuable things, bitbitin mo lagi kahit nasa banyo ka pra sure lang, pero my locker sila for your baggage. Dala din kau ng water bottle kasi available dun ay water dispenser na may unlimited water (hehehe). Mababait ung staff kasi khit nsa labas na ako, they are always ready to assist me regarding sa jeep code n pwde ko skyan kaya naka.mura ako dun sa pamasahe. (Pero minsn alalay din sa tanong kasi busy din sila bka kasi gawin nyo staff nila google map, tanong din kau sa labas, hehehe) Thanks.

The only problem i have in this place is the cleanliness and hygiene, specially the bathroom in the 2nd floor specifically the toilet they weren’t being cleaned up everyday this may cause to people if you have communal bathrooms it very efficient if you have it clean everyday for the convenience of your customers and if the cleanliness is really lots of people will know and will come to stay over aside from price is really good the place is clean.

-- Hot water broken everywhere with no prospect of being fixed , -- Mushrooms growing from doormats upstairs , -- Staff rarely look up from their phones , bit are approachable -- Cleanliness deteriorating with every visit of mine , ++ AC still works well and there's water microwave and fridge and tv with cable ++ Can still get a good night's sleep and have privacy in dorms This used to be my go to hostel in Cebu but I will definitely be moving on now.

Okay for a short stay”
Ive booked the room for a discounted price here in Agoda and Ive saved a lot. I am with my friend and we stayed for one night. We are booked in a mixed dormitory (budget is tight). The location is great. The staff are okay. Though I have an issue with the cleanliness of the hostel coz we are greeted with a pungent smell as we go to our room upstairs. And also, there is no water in the second floor so we need to go down to answer the nature's call. Overall, the place is okay. Great for a short stay and budget traveller like us.

Very Cheap and Convenient ”
Went here because I needed to stay for a night and it’s near for my appointment. Very cheap, has good wi-fi. I stayed in the bunk beds and it was comfortable - temperature was great as it was cold, people were also respectful. CR though needs improvement, I think it could be cleaner or nicer. I was happy because they provide towels, toothbrush, shampoo and soap too! And free unlimited water. Pillow was fluffy, bed and linens were clean. Check-in and check-out was easy. Beside Jollibee :) Overall, a great stay.

Not only was the staff very friendly, I loved the privacy of the capsules! I’ve never slept in one of those so it was quite an experience for me. What I really loved is that I had an outlet to charge my stuff, the locker was big enough for all of my bags and there was also a shelve that I could put my stuff on. It was also great that they gave a towel and toothbrush, shampoo and soap etc because I didn’t have any. It’s also in walking distance of the bus terminal and the ferry terminal. I would really stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay here! Place is clean, air-con works great, staff are friendly, wifi speed is good. The upstairs dorms may get some of the night time music from a nearby bar till around 2 am (this is not a problem for the pods which are downstairs).

Good value for money”
I am very pleased! It was worth every penny spent. This could be the best backpack hostel for its price range. Aircon is new and place still smells good. I even asked for a specual favor to check out a little late because of flight changes, and the staff (wendy) gladly helped me with no extra cost. Thanks guys!

Basic capsule hostel in a good location”
Basic small hostel with around a dozen individual capsule beds that have a light and fan, and some more conventional dorm rooms. I stayed in a capsule which was comfortable, the temperature depends somewhat on the aircon setting outside the room but overall was fine. Luggage locker built in under the bed, it's big but probably won't fit a large backpack. Wifi worked well. Purely as a place to crash it's a great choice, I wouldn't pick it for party/very social atmosphere etc. Plenty of food and drink/bar options within easy walking distance though.
