One of the Best Resorts in UAE”
AL Hamra Residence & Village is one of our favorite place for taking short break from our routine life in UAE; and we are never disappointed during any of our visits including the last one during July 2018. We not only got the warm welcome as usual, but also an upgrade to the 3 Bedroom Family Suite with nice Sea View in the Main AL Hamra Residence, though we had originally booked 3 Standard Rooms in AL Hamra Village. This was a gesture to accept our request to allot the 3 rooms together (at AL Hamra Village Villas) with at least one room on the ground floor as we had an elderly guest in our family who had problems climbing stares. Needless to say that the Family Suite had all the necessary amenities in place including a Fridge, Oven, Elec. Cooker besides other things. Once we had checked in and settled in the Family Suite, the real experience of enjoying the high standard of facilities at the resort started; may it be the swimming pool, the beach, the bar or anything else.

Great place for a family holiday”
The Al Hamra Residence and Village provides all the features needed to enjoy a week of an amazing holiday: For the Beach lovers, a private beach is available a short walking distance away with volleyball, kid's club, tennis courts etc.; and within the village an amazing pool, a restaurant, pub and fitness centre is there to be utilized - all areas spacious, clean, well maintained. The only thing to complain about is the completely understaffed reception staff who has to handle incoming- as well as outgoing visitors, incoming calls and inquiries, resulting, and this happened to us at the same place before, in a rather long and frustrating check-in process. Oh yes: And it was the second time that our rooms were not ready at the time requested.... If the resort is able to sort out the very obvious issues in their check-in area, the initial frustration at arrival would disappear and one could enjoy the entire stay from the arrival.

Choose Half Board. Good stay, good beach”
We booked for Classic Village room which is across the road from (Al Hamra Residence) where the beach, kid’s pool and kid’s play room are located. The walk is about 500 metres away and it will break you in sweat in August weather (39 - 41 celcius degrees) but there’s complimentary buggy ride if you’re too lazy to walk. Kids have to be assisted as it’s a main road. Breakfast is available at Al Hamra Classic area but dinner is at Seabreeze restaurant, at the main building (Al Hamra Residence) which we opted as well as it’s convenient for us to just go there for dinner after the evening swim. Choose half board if you want this. Another option is for you to drive out to Al Hamra Mall which is about 5 minutes drive away. Walking would take 20 - 30 minutes probably and it’ll be okay for winter weather. Check in took us an hour. Didn’t appreciate people cutting queue though. Staff shouldn’t entertain these requests as it is disrespectful. Put up signs if you need to so these “VIP” gets it.

Great stay”
A weekend getaway with family and friends. It’s my fifth stay at the hotel, great experience as usual. The hotel is about 1 hour drive from Dubai, beautiful private beach, close to the Al Hamra mall. I experienced both Residence and village for my past stays, residence building is more convenient to all the facilities, yet the Village is more cozy and quiet with about 200meters walk to the Residence building. The buffet is on average level, expecting more variety. Consider the value for money, I would give 5 out of 5. Last but not least, big thank you to Melody, a very kind and helpful lady, with excellent customer service!

Great Hotel, Beautiful Beach......”
We had a wonderful week-end in Al Hamra Residence & Village. We stayed in a superb room overlooking the beautiful ocean. Thoroughly recommend the Fish Restaurant and the “White Bar” Happy Hour from 5-7. The staff are wonderful from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Al Hamra Residence & Village.

Perfect stay for RAK marathon”
We stayed at the Village Golf resort 2 nights. Thursday night we checked in and they gave us a good size room overlooking the golf course with no balcony. It smelled very stale with a hint of smoke. The next day we asked for a room with a balcony and they quickly made this happen. They said they had upgraded us to the first room. New room was smaller and looked over the village drive/parking area but it had a nice large balcony to sit out on and was clean and smelled great. It was perfect for us. The buffet breakfast included can be had at the Village or the Residence across the street. We had it both mornings at the Village and it was simple but very good. Brekafast is served until 10:30 am (it was still serving at 10:45 am) so we were able to run our race and still get back for breakfast which was really appreciated. Across the street you can use the Al Hamra Residence pool and beach facilities which are really nice. The Residence is attached but separate from the beautiful Waldorf Asoria. Pool was heated at the Residence and icy cold at the Village Pool. The Village has an English pub with pool tables for those interested next to the pool that was quite full on Friday night with locals and visitors alike. Another bonus is Al Hamra Mall is a couple minutes drive away for groceries, restaurants, shopping or the cinema. Our stay was very quiet and but it should be noted that the 4 rooms on the second floor of the village buildings open onto an echoey landing. The doors are made of cheap, hollow sounding wood. The doors have no seals. Just wood on wood frame. So we were able to clearly hear a baby crying in the middle of the night from another room and when anyone else in your building open and closed their door there is a loud bang for all to hear. I would be very concerned if a noisy neighbor happened to check in. All in all for 400 Dhs per night the stay greatly exceeded our expectations.

Upgraded to Al Hamra Palace”
I had booked a junior suite at Al Hamra Village Golf Resort but were at arrival upgraded to Al Hamra Palace to one bedroom suite. It was a very big "apartment" with kitchen, livingroom, bedroom and two bathrooms with a huge balcony. The apartment was perfect for us. The breakfast was varied. The area with several swimmingpools and on the beach was perfect. We played some golf and the shuttle service to the golf-course was perfect. The only thing to mention is the very high priceplan for the use of internet and the hight prices in the restaurants of the hotel and the area as a whole.

AMAZING! THUMB AND BIG TOE’s UP”
Thanks to them got upgrated to deluxe room. This place is perfect, from room to hotel facilities, you got all you neeed. The staffs are great and service is excellent. I love staying here and indeed it was a relaxing holiday. There are good restaurant which serves delish foods! This place is just so perfect i cant see any cons. Love the place, the beach, the food and everything around here is so AWESOME! People shouldnt missed this place when visiting uae. I Visited abu dahbi, dubai, sharja and what i can say is THIS IS THE PLACE! If you wants to be away from the city and enjoy the breeze get relaxed you should pick al hamra residence. Ima rate this 12/10. ☺️

Great holiday - shame about the front desk staff ”
Having stayed many time in Dubai's 5 star hotels, with prices increasing we thought we would stay at the Al Hamra Golf. The price seemed to good to be true, however it really was good value for money. Not a 5 star hotel but a credible 4 star. The junior suite was large and good for the price. The main possitive was being able to use the Al Hamra Palace beach area. Also close by was the Al Hamra mall which was handy for food and shopping. Food was Ok My only complaints were the lack of Wifi but you can get around that by buying a drink in the English Pub. The front desk staff however were a big disappointment, not very helpful. One word of warning, on your last day, they will not let you stay on the property after you have checked out, unless you pay a 50% room rate for 6 hrs. We tried to book an extension and told that there were no rooms so had to leave. That being said we would go back as it was cheap for some winter sun compared to Dubai prices

value for money but room was small. ”
I thought i was booking for the hotel in the picture but for some reason i got a room in al hamra village, it turned out that they are 2 hotels combined together (al hamra residence and al hamra village). the Room was small and there was nothing to collect or keep from the hotel -as it is my hobby to collect something from each hotel- but other than that it was good!

Very accomodating Staff”
We were checked-in very late due to a large group came before us. The front desk gave us the access to Al Hamra residence while we're waiting for our room and I asked if they can upgrade our room. We've waited for an hour and went back to the reception area. They upgraded our room to junior suite which was great coz we have my son with me. Special thanks to Ms. Melody, she help me a lot (from searching the property location, confirmation of booking, upgrade of room, late checkout request)

Review for Al Hamra Palace”
I booked for Al Hamra Village room but when I got there, they said I was upgraded to a room in Al Hamra Palace so this is the one I am really reviewing. I enjoyed the breakfast and the location is really good. Used the swimming pool, view of the beach was awesome.

Great place to stay and very reasonably priced”
For the price, this is an excellent choice for Al Hamra. My room was tiny but very modern and tastefully decorated. High quality bedding and towels. I was on the ground floor and had a lovely patio adjacent to the golf green. Buffet breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was above average. I did not use the pool but the pool area looked attractive. Mini-bar is not stocked but room service is available from the bar and restaurant (although i don't recall menus in the room). Perhaps a good idea to bring your own beverages (and use their empty fridge) and snacks as the private patio is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the view of the greens.

Nice area but too busy”
We were a bit confused when we booked this hotel because Al Hamra Fort and Al Hamra Village hotels are different and you cannot use the facilities interchangeably even though they are in the same area. We were disappointed when we couldn't check in a few hours early. The reception was so busy upon check-in that we had to wait over 30 minutes just to get our key. The restaurant was also very busy at breakfast; they asked us to walk to the nearby Al Hamra Palace Hotel to eat. The Palace Hotel has very nice facilities and a beach, which the Village does not have. Be careful when booking one of these 3 hotels to avoid surprises.

Staycation”
After a bit of a hiccup about the room, we eventually settled in for our 3 night stay. Breakfast was good but the service from the staff was not, especially the coffee. It is a nice option to use the beach at the Al Hamra Residence but no clear directions on how to get there were available and guests were wandering up and down the road.

Escapade”
It was fun, I was upgraded to Al Hamra Palace since Al Hamra Village is under renovation. I enjoyed a lot. It seemed like a free-zone, you can smoke, you can drink in the bar though it's not allowed in public anywhere outside the property with respect to those in fasting. Its a perfect place to relax and enjoy a weekend.

It’s a lovely place to relax with beach access within a short walking distance. 3 pools, 2 gyms and some bars. Al Hamra mall is within walking distance. In my opinion it’s one of the best malls in RAK at present. And last but by no means least. It’s the people that make this place. Taking care of your requests. Greeting you with a smile. And making you feel special. Special thanks to Sheshani, Kenneth, Ronal, Zain, Johnathan, Hannan only to mention a few. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to my next one already. Great Hotel, on the beach. Seafood restaurant definitely worth a visit. Overall good value for money. Staff cannot do enough for you. I thoroughly recommend Al Hamra Residence. Convenient Happy Hour 5 - 7 in the Beach “White Bar” too. Whenever we are in RAK this is our Hotel of choice.
