Friendly staff and good rooms”
We booked two nights, the first night we stayed in a room that the aircon was very noisy, it was hard to relax and sleep. The room was clean and good except with the issue of the aircon. I spoke with the staff to change the room but the hotel was fully booked. So we stayed the first night in that room but then the other night the staff offered to move to another room. The other room was good, aircon was silence. We loved the queen bed. Then after two nights, we stayed one more night. It is 5 mins walk from Alona beach

Some rooms not bamboo house ”
After reserving a room on agoda a couple weeks before, I was disappointed to find that my boyfriend and I were put in what seemed like the only non-bamboo room in the complex. Our room was away from the pleasant courtyard and located near the staff's quarters and kitchen. The room didn't have screens and the windows had been open prior to arrival so we were greeted by many mosquitos and ants inside our room. The aircon was fine for the first 5 minutes but then proceeded to sound like a loud car engine. We had a fan for our first night which saved us but on our second day, the hotel staff removed the fan from our room without asking and without having one to replace it when we asked. Everything we entered the room it smelled like fire or cigarettes, as if our room was attached to the kitchen. We asked every day if we could switch to a bamboo house and it was not until the last day that we were able to transfer. Everything was great in the bamboo house (except the aircon didn't work and there was no fan.) What irked me more than the mismatch between the online photos and actual room was the poor customer service. The staff (mostly the older woman who appeared to be the manager) was so unapologetic about everything and laughed in our face about us asking to transfer rooms and even when she told us the hotel boat was not available for island hopping (which she had come to us about the previous day). Overall, this place is a good option if you're looking for an affordable place near the beach AS LONG AS you confirm you will stay in a bamboo house like the photos describe. One more thing: the 2 minute walk to the beach is through a dark alley that is a dumpster area.

Stay was pleasant,I exiended for a few days. No hot water or fridge,but that seems to be standard in the Philipines. Room and toilet was spotless,they will clean room only when you ask,but will do straight away. Bring a torch for night as it is down a dark dirt track. Wifi was good. Aircon very loud,again, standard for the Philipines.

Simple”
Location was great and it's quite cheap, however, a toilet paper would be something I'd like to have in the bathroom. Also the staff weren't very welcoming as I didn't have a printed version of my booking. I was able to rent a bicycle and it is very close to everything if you go down the small, dark alley.
