Budget hotel, easy access, clean and comfortable”
Alu hotel is very conveniently located at the Davao city center. Just beside the hotel is a coffee shop and several restaurants you can choose from. A few blcoks away is the aldevinco shopping center where you can buy sarongs, malongs, and a lot more locally made products. A few more blocks away are fruit stands where you can buy all the different fruits locally grown in davao. So even if i was just there for a day, i was still able to buy some stuff for my family and friends back home. The hotel also has easy access to public jeepneys and cabs so going aRound davao wont be a problem. I would definitely come back there again. I just wasnt able to eat the breakfast provided with my booking coz my flight left at 6am. I asked the receptionist if they would be Able to provide my breakfast at an earlier time but they wouldnt allow it. But the price i paid for my stay was definitely worth it.

Affordable Hotel”
ALU hotel is a great option for a short stay in Davao, it's within city center, near a night market and the Aldevinco Shopping Center. The rooms are clean and well kept, the staff are all kind and the breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again if ever we have a short visit to Davao.

Value for your money with good location & services”
Hotel is located at the Central district of Davao city. Peace and order great. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Relatively new hotel with functional air con, fast Wi-Fi, and cable TV; hot and cold water for toilet and bath strong and functional. Our non-smoking room is big and clean. We asked for a ref at admission. Staff assistance Very good. Hotel is located at the corner of two street so access to public transport is not a problem. However for those who are "light sleepers" we suggest asking for a room facing the inner area and not a room facing the street. In general we got value for our money. We would recommend this hotel for our future visit.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient plus helpful staff”
Our stay in ALU was excellent, the lack of amenities was made up for by its helpful and attentive staff. Great location, within striking distance to all davao attractions in the city. Although there is still so much more room for improvement like food and amenities, I would have to say we have had a wonderful time during our entire stay there (3 nights) would definitely recommend it to other families who wish to travel to Davao City. If value for money is what you are looking for, ALU Hotel in Davao city will give the best bang for your buck.

Convenient location with satisfying breakfast”
First, the breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic! It is a great way to start the very long day ahead full of activities and travelling around Davao. I love the daing na bangus and the black coffee. The room has hot/cold shower, clean sheets, TV with cable, bottled water, some toiletries, wifi and airconditioning. The place is very convenient and accessible going to and from any destination in Davao since most of the jeepneys pass through Roxas. Plus what I like most is that it is very near night market, stores, ATM and tourist destinations such as People's Park, Osmena Park and Rizal Park. The security is very strict within the area especially right after the bombing incident. What to improve: the reception should have a Davao map at hand (which you can also get in Museo Dabawenyo), there should be a water dispenser and elevator and rooms are a bit old and it needs renovation. Reminder, you have to instruct them to clean your room before you leave. Which is just fine with us. Over-all we had a great stay. We'll stay here again for sure.

I booked and check-in a standard room the same day, I really like using agoda for rushed booking because you can still get great and cheap deals for hotel like this. and what i stated in my booking request was delivered by this hotel. We had a smooth check-in. Though our only purpose is just to get a comfy rest through the night, there is a night market in the area if you want to go a little shopping and explore davao street food. My only concern is the hotel is still using an old fashioned door knob lock system and this kind of lock doesn't make you feel secure when leaving your stuff in the room. But overall our stay is very good with free breakfast. I can stay in this hotel again.

Exceptional”
My son and I stayed for 1 night at ALU Hotel. It’s accessible to restos and I like the fact that there was a sari-sari store nearby. Our room was clean and the air conditioning was really cold. The mirror of the dresser was quite old already because some stains were visible so I think it needs to be replaced. The bathroom was clean except that were was that mild unpleasant odor probably coming from the drain which you can smell as soon as you enter the bathroom. I like the fact that the breakfast was buffet style although there was only very limited choices of food. Maybe next time, they can serve 2 types of rice , plain and fried rice or garlic rice since there was only plain rice at that time. I think it would be better if they serve at least 5 choices of “ulam” because there were only corned beef, sweet and sour fish fillet and boiled eggs that time. I wish there was bacon or tocino or longganisa. There was only brewed coffee and it would be nice they serve hot chocolate drink also for kids. The staff were also accommodating and friendly.

Good stay as always”
This has been my second time in this hotel. First with friends, and recently with my family. Aside of its being centrally located (night market is just a few steps away), the staff are warm and accomodating. Even if its not the scope of her job as front desk, like Ms Jeselle she willingly assumed the role of housekeeping by delivering our needs in the room on two occasions. The food at the cafe is great. It can equal to the food being served in nice restaurants around Davao. For its free breakfast, its just average. Although its buffet, there are only two varieties of food served like eggs and either fried fish or beef. I was looking forward for a dried fish on our third morning but there was none. Maybe adding it on the choice will be great. Overall, the stay was wonderful. I would definetely go back to this hotel again.

Pretty safe neighborhood, food is great (outside hotel) Watch out for Promos, accessible to taxis and pedicabs... Will def stay here again when we come back in Davao City.

Nice comfortable and affordable”
I initially intended to stay only 10 days. I eventually stayed longer than 20days as I simply extended my stay. I will most certainly return to the ALU Hotel because they provided a good service at a very affordable price.

Pros: - nearness to the city and key locations in Davao - value for money, cheap for a spacious room - the staff are very friendly and accommodating Cons: there's something that smells in the shower. Probably the shower curtain. Toilet/bath is really small. Overall, experience is good. For quick stays, it's a good place especially for couples and backpackers.

Very nice location outside roxas night market. Near Mack Polo and GMall. Cinema n GMall is best and cheapest in Davao. WiFi here as super fast. No stopping when watching YouTube. Breakfast very good. Stayed in deluxe and standard rooms here, both represented value for cost. Electric showers work fine. Downstairs bar and restored is good food and fair price. Would stay here again for sure.

Fit for a Family”
Our stay at Alu hotel was OK! The 2 rooms we stayed were comfortable, clean and very relaxing. 2 problems we had on our 1st day- there was a problem with the water system but was fixed that same morning, and we could hear inside our room the noise of our neighboring guests(esp.those walking along the corridor). Aside from those things, our stay was great, staffs were always smiling, attentive and very helpful.

Good location just outside roxas night market, staff were all nice and accomodating. Good food/breakfast and they serve buffet breakfast for full house- eventhough we were not able to try it cos we have to leave early they still gave us boiled eggs as baon as we tour davao. Cons: towels arent changed daily. You have to call and request for cleaning and replacement of towels. Overall Im satisfied with the amount I paid vs the services they provided me, thumbs up!

Value for Money”
I wanted something cheap and clean and the Alu gave me that. Taxis don't know the hotel name so you need the crossroads. I have stayed in much finer hotels but paid a much higher price. In terms of value for money the Alu hit the mark. If you want more than basic, pay more and stay elsewhere. Don't bother with the breakfast, there's a lovely little cafe attached to the hotel just out the front and to the right.
