we had a great time at the amber springs last sunday night, there was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel from the restaurants to the bars to the lobby the lovely coffee dock we had a superb stay and will definitely return again.

wedding of granddaughter”
we all loved everything about hotel ...food and staff and rooms were all excellent but feel that there should be an informing notice about a lift up to service room .as myself and daughter quite unable to walk up stairs and my granddaughters paternal grandmother has to walk with an aide so literally was carried up those stairs ,which upset her ,,,if we had know that we could have used lift would have been great ... but was only thing wrong ...thank you OLIVE CARR

Staff looking after conference rooms although nice, very slack on service compared to other venues I been at. Often we had to ask for refreshing of cold water, hot water or tea or milk throughout the day and often not enough cups or milk or no napkins etc. Tables in conference rooms trestle type so uncomfortable if you have to sit near end due to table leg supports. Bedrooms large, clean and quiet but a little tired decor wise. I and others had trouble with our room card key. A small group of us had trouble attracting staff attention one night at the bar (and it was very quiet) and by the time we got someone over they claimed kitchen has just closed. So we kicked up a fuss and after consulting they offered us a couple of things off the menu. Bit perplexing when they have a late night room service menu ....? They also took ages to take our drink order... To sum up although a great family hotel they could lift their game a bit with the business customer and conference side of things.

Really lovely hotel”
Really lovely hotel inside and out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick and hassle free check-in. Delicious bar food - however kids menu a tad pricey. Lovely relaxed breakfast. Lovely spacious bedroom. Brilliant kids facilities - some free and others with a surcharge but that's ok. Surcharge of €25 for each child aged 4 and over which could work out very expensive if you had more than two kids. We will definitely be back. The kids loved this hotel.

Great facilities for kids but check in very late in the day”
We stayed for two nights for halloween from 31st-2th november 2016. Cant fault facilities lots to do for children of all ages my kids loved it. But my only faults where the delay to check in-when we arrived said room wouldnt be ready til near 4 o clock which isnt ideally with young children looking to go swimming etc.The lady at reception tried to accommodate us at about 3:30 staying our family room wasnt ready but there was a double room with a single bed& she would put in a camper bed so we took this. But this room obviously wasnt meant for families with young children as it was absolutely roasting both nights no fan/air con as some of the other rooms had and we couldnt open the window as the window opened straight out with no safety catch which was next to the camper for my two year old& we were on the third floor so pretty dangerous for a family hotel

Perfect Location”
My wife and I stayed at this Hotel as we were attending a Wedding. About a 10 minute walk we found the The Bistro Restaurant. food / service was excellent would recommend booking early ! Also had the pleasure of swimming in the pool all by myself one Sunday morning .........

The hotel has won family friendly awards for a reason as a visitor without family it makes for uncomfortable stay - children screaming at meal times, in the bar etc I was doing a course in the hotel and one of the evenings we arrived in to bar just after 8:45 not realising food stopped at 9 - the waiters deliberately ignored us until after 9 and then told us they woldn’t serve us if it wasn’t for the very good manageress I would have moved hotel that night. While in general the hotel is spotless I had to. Ask for my room to recleaned and replenished on of the days as all that was done was to make bed

All our needs were catered for, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I was part of a big family get together celebrating a 70th Birthday and this hotel was incredibly child friendly 😀

Very Happy Family”
Our family had a great mini-break. We as parents were very happy with how equipped the hotel is for kids, how friendly the staff were. Excellent facilities in the hotel as we have a 4 month old baby and made our lives that bit easier because of the family facilities.

Rundown hotel - grubby”
So first off the 'idea' is great, and a very good solution for families who wish to holiday in Ireland, BUT... The hotel is shabby and old and smelly. The duvet covers were ripped revealing horrible duvet underneath. The carpets are thread worn. The main foyer banister is old and worn and sticky! The pool had a lot of bits floating in it. And even though the weather wasn't great while we were there, the rooms were baking hot. It sounds like we didn't have a good time, but we did! It's just the hotel is no where near being a 'luxorious four star hotel' that they advertise. It's grubby and needs a good clean and lick of paint. Also no fridges provided as standard in the bedrooms, which is silly when you have young children that snack constantly on dairy foods! I'm not sure we shall be hurrying back.

We had a really lovely time,staff were lovely and room very ,but unfortunately we were not told of the building work going on untill after check in so it was disappointing that we were right in the middle of it and woken up at 9 in the morning after been at a wedding alnight so unfortunately that was a bit annoying

Fantastic facilities for kids both indoor and outdoor to keep them occupied. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location for beaches. Will definitely go back again. We loved it and our three year old adored it!

The bedsheet wasn’t changed. It was filthy, stains and hair everywhere. ”
The cleaner tried to tell me that it had definitely been changed, it was disgusting. The manager came in and was shocked and embarrassed, said it hadn’t been changed and told us he’d move us to a new room the following night (it was fully booked so he couldn’t move us that night) and he’d discount the first night. The next day, we were moved to a family suit which was lovely but upon check out they told us they weren’t going to discount the first night because they had decided to move us to a bigger room instead. Only they hadn’t told us that before. The sheet was so disgusting that no discount or other room could have made up for it. I wouldn’t trust the cleanliness of the place and I won’t be back
