Amir Hostel in Samarkand provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. Well placed, clean rooms and baths, kind staff. If you want to go to Samarkand and stay in a cheap place go to Amir Hostel.

A cheerful hostel atmosphere”
I was surprised how full Amir hostel was every night I stayed, even in November. There were travelers from all over passing through regularly, and most were eager to hang out. It would be nice if there were a larger public space to relax, with sofas; the one table doesn't fit all of the guests at once. The staff were friendly but a little distracted or transactional at times. The hostel's in a nice neighborhood an easy taxi or bus ride from the train station, with plenty of good food options, which can be relatively cheap since they're farther from the tourist center. That said, it's a long (but pleasant) walk to the main sights, so I wore myself out walking every day. I appreciated the bunk beds with curtains, outlets, and reading lamps, and that the shower and toilet facilities allowed for privacy.

The bathroom and toilet room is clearer than I imagined. And the manager dealt with my check-out without any trouble although my check-out time was so early in the morning. All was OK, very comfortable. I enjoyed talking with the “strangers”, who are traveling alone in the mid garden. I hope to stay again when I visit Samarkand. Thank you.

The hostel ”
The hostel is very nice with curtain embedded which provide people with privacy . There are plugs and lightbulb for guests . The most important thing is that staff there are very very nice they never hesitate to offer help and give advices of where to go . If I have to say some bad aspects that would be the running out of electricity and water supply for two times within my two nights stay . Anyways everyone is fine

staff are not polite ”
i noticed that the staff are very polite towards westerners but not towards guest from asia. they tend to be more rude towards asian. i travel by myself and the door was locked when i arrive early in the morning around 7 am. the reception doesnt bother to open the door when i knock on the door request to enter the hostel. i was lucky that their guest help me to open the door despite the reception was just sitting there in front of the door. in the morning, as i went down for breakfast, breakfast does not serve based on who comes first. breakfast seems to serve for westerners first as i find it uncomfortable. i went down early as i waited for breakfast. however, overall the place is value for money. the toilet is clean . it's only the staff i have trouble with.

The bed is too close. I can easily hear the noise of nearby beds. The shower can be improved. Not much hot water.

It's the first Hostel opened in Samarkand. The owner is so kind . The hostel is walking distance to 3 of the 5 places to go in Samarkand. With a shopping mall 3 minutes walking and supermarket at 2 minutes. Very nice place to stay

Great hostel..kind hosts!”
This is a great hostel with a social atmosphere, clean facilities, and a welcoming family who run the place. After traveling through Uzbek for a month it was refreshing to find an accommodation with a real traveler vibe. Upon arrival our AC did not work. I mentioned it to the owner and it was fixed when we came back in the evening...spot on service. They also ordered us a taxi to cross the border over to tajikistan. Highly recommended. Only thing that I might recommend is improving the stability of the wifi during the day.

チェックインの時は10歳くらいの、すごく英語が上手で賢い男の子がひとりで店番してました。 その子からお母さんが出かけてるから少し待ってねと、お茶を出してもらいました。 他のスタッフの方もすごく親切で、私が体調が悪く、部屋に閉じこもっていた時も大丈夫？何か食べる？とプロフを振舞ってくれました。 あの時食べたプロフがウズベキスタン14日の旅の中で1番美味しかったです！ もちろん、いつもあるサービスではないのでしょうが、私はすごく救われました。

Очень приятный и чистый хостел в отличном месте, всего 5 минут ходьбы от центрального парка Алишера Навои и в 100 метрах от улицы Мирзо Улугбека. Рядом есть магазины и кафе. До Регистана минут 20-25 пешком или 5-10 минут на такси. Очень дружелюбный персонал. Удобные кровати, хотя кому-то матрас может показаться жестковатым. Есть кухня, стиральная машина. Спасибо за гостеприимство!
