Super recommend”
A traditional japanese ryokan (guesthouse) with private rooms and shared bathroom, can tell it has been run for many years, but kept very clean I must say, (in contrast to those in Zao onsen in yamagata). The staff was also very friendly and the location is very close to Aomori station. In all, the experience was perfect for the very reasonable price point (only 3k+ yen). I will for sure visit again next time.

I stayed two nights. The guest rooms have shared toilets and baths, but it did not feel crowded at all. The host was very kind and if you can speak Japanese, she had a lot of good advice for travelers in Aomori. Wifi worked, A/C worked and the room was quiet and comfortable. Not far from the main station. 10/10

My 2 nights stay at Aomori Iroha Ryokan was excellent. The owner was friendly. They also provide meals which I didn't include in my booking. However, the smell of the food was really good so I would think it taste fabulous too. The room was clean and simple and the wifi signal was strong.

Nice Ryokan Experience”
This is my first experience with Ryokan and it's a pleasant one. The place is extremely close to the train station and major attractions in Aomori. Complimentary wi-fi service is also provided which is a big plus. The room is certainly not huge but you got your own comfortable private zone. Bath and toilets are shared, but I think that is the way the Ryokan are run so I have no complain about that.

clean, reasonable price”
Iroha Ryokan is located near Aomori station, next to Toyoko inn but there is no sign in English. The owner also cannot speak English but welcome me with hospitality. My room was on the 3rd floor and quite big for 1 person. Bathroom is at the front of ground floor and close at 11 p.m. which was inconvenience for me (arrived the ryokan almost 10 p.m.) I could find many shops and restaurants 1 block away.

Nice ryokan style room, very good location and lovely owner”
The lady owner is so kind and friendly. She gave me welcome drink (apple juice) and chocolates for each day of my stay. She also provided Aomori city map and recommended good food shops nearby. This place is only two minutes walk from Aomori Station and bus terminal, vey convenient. Room is big and clean. Only one minus point is that, there is no elevator. Anyway the owner will help you carry luggage upstair. I'll choose this place if I have a chane to visit Aomori again.

Fabulous location 30 seconds from the JR Station”
Super hospital hosts that make the most of the limited English. Free wifi The location was brilliant considering we had a tonne of luggage. The ryokan is down a little alley about 30 seconds walk from JR Aomori station Warm sheets and comfortable rooms. Only one shower in the ryokan, we didn't have to wait but you may have to if the hotel was full

Pleasant stay”
The house is very clean, warm and has a washing machine. It took us only 3 min, with 3 big luggage, to get the house from the Aomori train station. Very convenient for moving to Hakodate and to Tokyo by train. The owner was very very kind. She recommended us an excellent restaurant located very near the house. We had dinner there twice and it was the best restaurant (both for food quality and value for money) during our 2-week stay in Japan. 5 min walk to Aomori market for (dried and fresh) seafood shopping.

Simple but perfect stay”
I felt very very welcome at this homey little inn. The welcome drinks were apple juice served with Meiji chocolates. The kind and friendly owner obasan offered to carry my luggage up the stairs, and even delivered ice up to my room so that I could have chilled apple juice. The futon is really comfortable, and they clean up my room everyday, providing a fresh set of towel and yukata. Even though there was only one shower, I never had to wait to use it in the evenings. The location is really near the station! Also, I highly recommend paying for the breakfast. Very tasty and substantial. It felt like a stay at a relative's house, and I was sad to leave. I would definitely come back to stay again if I visit Aomori in the future.

Lodging is more expensive in Hokkaido ”
The "ryokan" is more of a hostel but with a bed they make up for you at night. It's very close to the train station. Basic room with a window looking at a wall. Toilet and shower is outside of the bedrooms. Walls are paper thin. Owners are super sweet people so that helped make up for the high cost. I don't think there is much in Aomori at this price range. Nor is there much to do in Aomori anyway. I only stopped here en route to Sapporo.

Location and friendliness!”
Super close to the train station as well as to most attractions in aomori. The owners are really friendly and helpful with any doubt you might have even though they speak basic english. Would definitely stay there again if we come back to aomori

Close to jr aomori, nice and clean”
The location is great, center of the town and very near jr aomori. The house is very nice and clean. The owner was very nice, she welcome me with tasty aomori apple juice, and very helpful with suggesting where to eat and what to see.

Ideal location and super nice landlady”
I arrived in the morning to drop my luggage. After I came back in the afternoon, the luggage are ready put in the room on 3rd floor with a can of aomori apple juice and chocolate. In the evening there is also a bottle of hot water provide in the room for tea . The landlady is super lovey and helpful. The place is just right in front of the station. even though there is no bathroom inside, it is not a problem.

Just passing through”
Fast check-in and check-out no questions asked. Japanese style bedroom with futon. Aomori was slightly cold in early may, but the room had a heater and hot tea. Ridiculously close to the station if you manage to walk in the right direction, which I didn't. Excellent sushi restaurant (Ippachizushi) one block away.

The hostel is only a 2 minute walk from Aomori station so it's super convenient. The lady who greeted us when we arrived is very friendly and helpful, she doesn't speak much English, but she made us feel welcomed and tried her best to understand what we needed.
