Perfect!”
It seems new hotel. So all of facilities are new. I left a lot of amenities but staffs borrow me with smiles. Biggest point is in front of station. We have a lot of stores, restaurants. In the declaration of emergency, price is so cheap! I can’t say any complains.

Spacious, well-located”
It was pleasant. The hotel staff were great, and the service excellent. They have dehumidifiers, extra pillows, and chair warmers for no extra charge. It's only 25mins by railway to Kyoto station, and close to Hikone and Otsu. Good place to stay.

Wonderful Seta stay”
It was a wonderful experience. Everybody was courteous, helpful and nice. Room and accommodation was great for the price but was actually more than I expected. Parking was cheap (around ¥900) and just across the building. It was discounted from the hotel. The breakfast ladies were awesome as well. They tended to us like they knew us. Price was cheap and discounted from the hotel. I highly recommend it even for family. Excellent experience.

Great location, just 10 minutes from Kyoto Station”
The one thing that struck me was just how easy to find this hotel. Take the train from Kyoto Station, head towards Seta, which is a 10-minute ride, walk out of the station and Seta Urban is right in front of you. A 7-11 and Lawson, as well as other street food places are just downstairs. The front desk was very friendly and have a good enough command of English to brief you about the hotel, how to use the key and could answer the usual questions like how do I get on the WiFi. The rooms itself were comfortable and well-maintained. Be sure to read their manual (English in the back) to find hidden language gems in there. If you find something lacking in the room, there are shelves on each floor that you can take extra blankets, pillows and other amenities for no extra charge. It was something I didn't need but appreciated that it was there. My overall experience was good. And when I head back to Kyoto again, Seta Urban will be top on my list to stay.

nice, friendly staff, clean, close to a train”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My room was clean, with comfortable bed, big enough (generally, in Japan rooms are very small, but mine was quite big). Very friendly staff, coin laundry. The hotel is not in the city center (Kyoto), but it is close (2 minutes walk) to a train station, and train takes 18 minutes to arrive to Kyoto station, where you can take a bus to any destination in Kyoto. Very convenient, just be ready to pay 320*2 yens every day for a train.

Short stay, but very pleasant.”
Although not a fancy, upscale hotel, Seta Urban Hotel is a short walk from the train station, the staff is courteous and helpful, the room, as well as the entire hotel, were very clean, and the restaurant downstairs is convenient, with decent food (I only had the Japanese breakfast, but it was quite good). No complaints whatsoever.

Great Value”
My friend and I walked from Tokyo to Kyoto and made our lodging reservations in advanced. This hotel was very conveniently located near a train station and many restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel's amenities included an unexpected massage machine and the view from the room was decent as well. Would recommend to others, especially for people trying to get the most for their buck (or yen).

Comfy hotel”
This hotel is located at about 15 to 25 minutes of train rides (depending on what train you take) from Kyoto Station. It is situated at the side of Kyoto city, i believe). When you arrive at the Seta Station and prior to exiting the station, look at the see through glass (either left or right, i cant remember), you will see the signage of the hotel. If you exit at the wrong side, you will not find it. I am particularly happy with this hotel. Reason being, the screen of my Korean made phone went blank at one of the nights i was there. I was desperately looking for the phone service centre either in Kyoto or Tokyo. I searched the internet but I couldn't understand google in japanese. I seek for the staffs' assistance. They were kind enough to help me get the address and on the early morning i checked out, the receptionist passed me another few addresses with printouts of the map on where to go in order to fix my phone. Very attentive and kind of them to do so! I highly recommend this hotel if you are not minded of its distance from the main Kyoto station.

pleasant stay ”
We stayed 6 nights from 29/5 to 4/6. We went out early n came back after 8pm mostly. So, i couldn't comment on the facilities as we didn't make use of it. The room was clean n comfortable during our stay. Not big but good enough for 3 pp. The hotel is just across Seta station and along the way, there are 2 convenience stores, Lawson n 7-11. Safe n quiet neighbourhood.

The room was HUGE, though I had difficulty setting up the air conditioner. There was also no exhaust. Overall, it was a nice hotel.

A brief stay ”
We just stay there for a night and we spend most of the time sightseeing. The hotel situated next to JR Seta Station and about 15-20 minutes from Kyoto City. It is out of Kyoto City so the area is not crowded. The room was big compared to other budget hotels that we stayed in Japan. The facilities was good. Totally value for money. If you arrived early, the check-in time is only at 3pm. So, just leave your bags and wonder around Kyoto. The only thing is it's quite far from the city but the farther from the city, the accommodation is much cheaper and bigger.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, 20 min to Kyoto ”
Overall, we had a great stay. It was about a 20 meter walk to the train station that took us right into downtown Kyoto everyday. The place is clean and friendly. It's a business hotel so there is not much going on but it's a clean, comfortable bed. Coin operated laundry machines with dryers right by the front desk. Quick internet. Great if you want to save some money and are willing to take a ride into town in the mornings.

Great location,and great staff.”
I stayed in more classey hotels in Japan but the Seta Urban is one of my favorites.I guess its because its out in the suburbs of Kyoto (which is a place I love) and you commute on the trains just like a local.I can't really put my finger on it but I really like this place.
