I like the APA chain and have stayed in other APA Hotels in Japan. As usual, this hotel was clean with good sized rooms for Japan, and has an onsen. The staff were friendly and helpful. This time I opted for breakfast, which was delicious (set breakfast, Japanese style only). There is a car park at the hotel and this costs 500 yen per night.

Bed and pillow needs to change”
It's a nice hotel, parking costs 500 yen if you can find a spot, onsen is small but nice. The beds and pillows are the worst part though, they're too soft that you sink in the middle unless you sleep on the side. With such a bed you'll expect a bigger pillow but no! it's just a flat small cushion like thing. Big beds don't make up for how bad the mattress is!

This hotel is not good for international travellers. Their breakfast is not buffet and they will serve on a tray with only japanese breakfast. ”
Please dont opt the breakfast as it is not worth at alll. I am sure every hotel will have buffet system and will cater to different kind of travellers. Atleast cornflakes or bread

Comfortable, friendly hotel - thoroughly recommend for a stay in the Joetsu area.”
I chose this hotel for a 6 day visit with family to see the cherry blossoms. While the hotel is not really set up for longer stays, we found it a very convenient base. We could go on day trips to Kanazawa and Nagano by Shinkansen and were able to easily hire a car at Times Car Rental just a few minutes walk from the station. Takada was just a few minutes away by local train, and there was a convenient shuttle bus at the weekend to take guests in and out to the cherry blossom festival at Takada Park. The rooms were a good size for a Japanese hotel and had the usual travel basics: hairdryer, toiletries, kettle etc. The one thing missing was a place to sit and relax but that’s more to do with space and it being geared towards business travel rather than leisure. Everything was very clean and staff came in every day to change towels or generally tidy up. The staff were very friendly and helpful, finding bus times and printing boarding passes etc. A very pleasant stay - recommend!

First, it’s a quiet town, the new train station is more happening.I would like to visit this area and stay at this same hotel.The side of lobby has a very cosy place to have grinds coffee from the vending machine.A door away leads to the many vending machines, nice laundry room, male and female small onsen.Next to the lobby has a western restaurant. The bedroom is fitted with latest fixtures,such as the lightings,USB plugs,great mattress,etc.So even if it snow, you will be comfortable at this hotel.

The hot bath & the location ”
Was so relieved seeing the hotel just right beside the joetsu-myoko station when I was arriving late at night. I enjoyed myself after a long days exploring around Joetsu-Myoko area. There's nothing much around but convenient store is just right at the station to help! The hotel room is pathetically small as usually but I love cleanliness and the slippers they provided! Recommended!

上越妙高駅のすぐ目の前で凄く便利。 駅の反対側には貨物コンテナを改造した飲食店街があり、 そこにあった尊美というお店の料理も日本酒もサイコー。
