The location was great, a few minutes away from the famous Shibuya crossing and the Hachiko statue. Room is a pretty clean but not alot of space but it was ok because we were pretty much out from morning to night exploring around tokyo.

Quite uphill but few minutes from Shibuya Crossing. With lots of Convenience stores 100m away (Lawson and Family Mart) Was able to express checkout and leave our bags since we have a late flight. Good choice!

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times and the location is superb. Prices are about 50% lesser than pre-covid times which makes it even better. I booked a double bed room however the room was too small for 2 Asian women still, can’t imagine men LOL. So I’d suggest to book a bigger room unless you’re staying alone. It’s about 5-7 minutes away from Shibuya crossing. There are many convenient stores nearby, 1 right below the hotel - amazing! There’s also an udon store opposite. More information - walkable to Naka meguro, Neko street, Harajuku, Yoyogi koen and Euhara and Shinjuku.

Convenient and Comfortable ”
This is my third trip to Tokyo and 2nd time staying at APA Hotel Shibuya. It is walking distance from Shibuya station and major shopping districts, the road up to APA is a lined with convenience stores, cafes and tiny eateries, so you'll never have to go to sleep with an empty belly. The hotel staff are friendly, housekeeping does a superb and honest job with cleaning up our mess. The downside though, is that the hotel room is tiny, but that is expected of most hotels especially one located right smack in the heart of Shibuya.

Excellent choice of business hotel chain in Japan”
When in Tokyo I usually book a room in an APA hotel branch. I like their facilities, everything just works, checkin-checkout process is smooth and fast. I know what I get in each branch, and it's standardized, so it's a hassle free experience for me. What I liked of the Shibuya branch was the close proximity to subway / JR trains (if you walk through Mark City mall it may be even closer) and the many restaurants that are easily accesible from the hotel. Unlike other APA hotel branches this one didn't have a traditional Japanese hot publich bath (they usually have one at the basement or top floor), but the coin laundry was useful to me. I will choose APA again in the future.

Good clean new rooms for budget minded traveller”
Great hotel if you are on a budget. APA Hotel chain is throughout Japan and offer rooms for around US$100/120 which is great for Japan. APA Dongenzaka-Ue hotel is new (open 2012, so all facilities are new and clean. 10 min walk to Shibuya station which gets you everywhere. Thousands of great restaurants, bars and live music venues in the area as well as lots of shops. Shibuya is generally playground of the 20's to 25's generation so ideal for those under 30's.

Slightly out from the crowd”
First time to live in Shibuya during my stay in Tokyo, and wanted to live a little away from the crowd, so it would not be too noisy. It’s just a nice little walk from the station to the hotel, but the slope up to the hotel might be a bit too tiring if you have heavy luggage. Another thing is, the street to the hotel can be a little complicated late at night. Otherwise, the hotel is perfect to stay, and as usual, APA is clean and comfortable.

this is near the shibuya station , about 1 km . if you are arriving from tokyo and intend to stay at shibuya then best is to arrive at haneda since it is just 17km to shibuya , take the bus and get off at mark city - from there it is just 150 meters . apa is just 300 meters away from the main shibuya downtown which youngsters hand out and lots of resturants and shopping is around that zone . nice place to stay .

Amazing Location”
Tokyo can be overwhelming, and I feel extremely fortunate to have chosen to stay at APA Shibuya. They are located in a very convenient location. They are easy to get to but also right in the middle of one of the most exciting parts of Tokyo- Shibuya. Harajuku, also a very fun destination, is one metro stop away. They are also about a block away from a really clean and adorable cat cafe with a great street view. My sister had a small accident walking, and the staff was quick to provide a wheel chair free of charge. It was definitely expensive and small, but you can't beat the location!!!

Tiny but clean and convenient (enough) location”
From JR Shibuya Station, don't go outside of the station. Avoid the crowd at Shibuya Scramble by walking thru "Mark City" building and get out at Dogenzaka exit. APA Hotel is less than 1 min walking from the exit. Also if you're coming from Haneda Airport, take Shibuya express bus to Shibuya Mark City. The final bus stop is at the rooftop of Shibuya Mark City. Go down to 4th floor, then walk towards the Dogenzaka exit.

Great overnight lair in Shibuya”
If you want to enjoy a good night’s sleep from exploring Tokyo and the night party scene, the APA is a great option. Although the hotel seems a bit older than other APA hotels, the quality is still the same. This was evident during my stay because my room was very warm and the AC in the building had not been turned on. In a d/ifferent APA hotel, I experienced this same issue and the front desk was able to provide A/C to my room which made for a very comfortable stay. Also a bit pricey, but worth it due to the location. Would stay here again.

Clean Atmosphere”
This is my first time staying at APA Hotel Shibuya and it was about as expected. Being more of a business hotel, the rooms were actually quite small as compared to my usual hotel. But nevertheless the hotel was very clean, room was clean and quiet, and hotel staff - better than expected!

Reasonable for central Tokyo”
It is located in central of Tokyo, which is Shibuya. Said that, it is not really close to Shibuya Station. It might take 15 minutes to get to from the Shibuya JR station. Another Metro station should be the closest. There are many restaurants, convenience stores nearby, which is really convenient. Compared to other hotels in Shibuya, APA hotel is very reasonable. They have everything in the compact hotel such as trouser presser. Breakfast is not included, there are a tapas bar and a restaurant in the hotel, but you probably fancy other ones outside of hotel. Room is very small without a window but it is Shibuya, I can't compromise somehow.
