Exceptional”
Friendly helpful staff. Very small room better suited to business traveler than leisure traveler. For a couple of international leisure travelers with 2 large suitcases only about 2 square meters of empty floor space remained clear.

Reli soft bed ”
The bed was crazily soft and caused back pain.. the air conditioner is centre-controlled, sometimes it’s too hot to sleep sometimes it’s too cold to sleep. The price is a great deal and location is good but I don’t think I would come again.

Japanese chain hotel so you know what to expect”
It would help if they had trained staff on reception rather than trainees as being told to get out of the elevator to complete more forms after you have signed in is not a good start particularly if you are tired and have luggage. Other than that a typical Japanese chain hotel so I got what I expected.

Typical APA, but bad A/C”
Unfortunately, the air conditioning is „full power or nothing“. Couldn’t sleep well because of this.

Great location but small rooms”
One of the most well located hotels I've stayed in in Japan. It's about a 7-10 minute walk to Shimbashi station that is along many main train lines in Tokyo. The hotel is within walking distance to Toranomon Hills, Tokyo Tower and even Tsukiji market if you're up for a nice stroll. We went in autumn so we didn't mind a nice walk in the cool breeze. There are plenty of restaurants and izakayas around the area that open till late. It's also near Ginza and Tokyo station. The only downside is that the rooms are slightly small for 2 people. But it's the standard hotel room size in Japan so we worked around the space and lived with it.

Convenient location, clean room, speedy check-out”
It's the second time I stayed with a APA hotel. APA Shimbashi Toranomon is closed to (walkable distance 5-10 mins) a few subway station including Shimbashi Station. Room size is standard in Japan - small yet well-equipped with hair dryer, fridge, bath tub. The only one comment I have is for those who doesn't like soft bed, you might want to reconsider. Otherwise, APA is a great value for money option for your Tokyo stay.

Great Stay”
The Apa Hotel was in a great location for me by the Shimbashi Station. I enjoyed the Italian restaurant and friendly cook and waiter. The hotel front desk people were all very young and ready to help me which I thought was great. My room was clean and convenient with nice bed and television. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends of mine and hope to return when I am back in Tokyo.

A nice stay”
We stayed at the APA -Shimbashi from July 8th till about noon of July 13th. The room we got, although perhaps too cramped for two adults, was well appointed with a flat screen TV, modern airconditioning, small ref, aptly positioned lighting and automated toilet, free wi fi and LAN ports among others. The front desk staff , although not generally as functionally proficient in English as one might reasonably hope and in some cases deficient in offering some mundane info ( which I'll explain later), were courteous to a fault and ever so eager to please. The cleaning staff were also friendly and very good at tidying up the room except the desk area where crumbs and used tea cups from my previous meals lay undistrurbed. The Hotel itself is about a ten to fifteen minute brisk walk from the Shimbashi Station, an assortment of Japanese eating places offering delicious dishes at reasonable prices, the Ginza shopping district and other entertainment spots and the government center ( including the Imperial Palace). Among the downsides of the hotel are the earlier mentioned cramped space--the room itself and the bathroom/toilet--particularly for two adults, a bed too soft it required a contortionist's skill to get off of it from a lying position, not as knowledgeable staff (e.g.,the ones I asked about the cost of a cab ride to Haneda Airport couldn't give me an answer--the answer, which I had to get from an idling cab driver, is it's a prohibitive 60K Yen), TV Programming is so parochially Japanese--No Fox news, CNN or even NHK international, and the airconditioning control box was in Japanese ( which is not really a fatal flaw since there can only be a limited number of possible outcomes pressing buttons can yield, and of course, one could just ask the front desk how the thing worked, but then given the staff's limited English proficiency, this might add another amusing dimension to the adventure). On balance, I'd go back to this place, given the rate we got.

Small and cozy”
We stayed 6 nights as this was the best location to travel between different parts of Tokyo. Unfortunately the size of the room was small for our two large suitcases but we made do with what we had. The view we had on the 15th floor was lovely, but the time it takes to get down to the ground floor took a while. They only have one elevator, but the hotel boast about being eco-friendly and sustainable. The hotel is ideal for travelers for work, or for a short stay.

Good comfortable stay and value for money”
Pros: -Friendly helpful staffs -Clean room with full room amenities -Value for money stay -Comfortable bed. Cons: -Hotel is quite a distance away from the nearest train station. -Not many shops and restaurants nearby the hotel. So we have to go further to to the city centre for shopping and dining.

Compact hotel for budget travels”
Standard APA hotel with all the amenities you need to travel on a budget. Restaurants around 500m radius from the hotel so finding something to eat at 11pm is not a problem. Don't expect much from facilities as it's a basic no-frills hotel. Nothing to complain about given the price paid for the hotel.
