Awesome Underrated Location”
Seriously great location! Japanese friends were surprised when we said we were staying in Sugamo, because it isn't the usual spot tourists stay. But the price was so much better than the more popular areas, and it's only a 4 min walk to the station that is a Yamanote Loop station so you can commute all around Tokyo! Only 15 mins to the east or west sides of Tokyo (Shinjuku etc). Hotel was comfortable, clean, bed big enough for a tall couple (185cm + 175cm). Sento (public bath) on the top floor was super cool and great to have to ease the muscles after a big day of walking. Room had enough space for us to pack our bags to leave Japan and was adequate for our 1 week stay there. Highly recommend! Sugamo is also an awesome area and shops are pretty cheap as it's the 'old people' part of Tokyo. A big shopping street is just over the road of the hotel. Definitely staying here again in the future!

The room is small as usual Tokyo hotel, but is clean and comfortable. The location is good. Very close to the JR station and the Sugamo Jizodori Shopping Street, many convenience stores next to it. Overall, its a nice hotel with a nice price.
