Fantastic location, great hotel, free onsen!”
This hotel was really fantastic (for mid-ranged budget travellers like my mum and I). We stayed there for 6 nights and would definitely go back there again! It's just 3 stops away from Maihama station (where Tokyo Disneyland is) and it's located just a 2-minute walk from Shiomi station on the JR Line (you can see the hotel when you alight at Shiomi station). Although it's location is in the west of Tokyo, it's just a few stops away from Tokyo Station (where you can change to all the JR lines and the Shinkansen). Travelling around was no trouble at all. Also, as it is not too centrally located, there was not too much traffic around the hotel (which my mum liked). While the staff's command of English isn't fantastic, the other hotel amenities make up for it. The hotel is a really big business hotel and provides free onsen (hot spring bath) from 6am till 1am for hotel guests. My mum went to the onsen every night to just relax after a busy day of either disneyland/sea or sightseeing. Would recommend this to tourists who want to explore Disneyland/sea for the full day and who do not want to spend too much time travelling to and fro the theme park. In fact, would recommend this to all travellers (as long as you plan your train trips, this hotel is a great choice). In addition, convenience stores, supermarkets and food shops are just a few minutes away from this hotel. Awesome price, awesome location, awesome stay.

Small, but comfortable rooms, well-located”
The hotel room we got was small, but that was in the description of "Small double bed room", and we hadn't packed too heavily so it wasn't a big deal. The room was comfortable, facilities and location were good, and staff were helpful. APA's CEO is an ultra-nationalist right-wing guy who has been running an essay competition for the last few years. If you're lucky, you'll have two year's worth of essays published in a book in your room, like we did. If nothing else, it was very interesting from a sociological point of view to read the Japanese ultra right-wing perspective of WWII and the American influence. However, if you are uncomfortable with this, it's best to be aware beforehand. Other than it feeling a bit surreal to flip through this alternate history of Japan, the stay in the hotel was good. The hotel is very close to the Shiomi-Ekimae train station, which is only accessible by the local train, so be careful not to catch an express train all the way if you are travelling there. We were attending an exhibition at Makuhari Messe, and it was easy to catch a train to get us there. If you were going to Disneyland, it would probably be a good option that wouldn't have you paying an absolute fortune, even if it means a bit of travelling.

Money for value and close to JR Shiomi station”
this apa hotel is in a quite part of tokyo, and it is very close to jr shiomi station, about 3 minutes walk. the room i stayed in was very small, compare to other 2 hotels i stayed with in japan.the room was clean and had everything i needed, but only had lan internet access, which is a bit inconvenient to me. spa was very nice, worth to try. the hotel was more busy during the weekend. there are many restaurants and shops around this hotel. for the money i spend, i am satisfied with it. it is not a place for great comfort though.

Great location, small rooms, patriotic propoganda”
We stayed at this hotel because there was an event at Makuhari Messe we wanted to go to, and all the hotels in that area had been booked out. This hotel is around a 20 minute train journey from Makuhari, and it's not far from Tokyo in the other direction either. Pros - very close to the Shiomi train station, there are a lot of convenience stores nearby, and a couple of restaurants. Cons - small rooms, I have stayed in bigger rooms in Tokyo for the same price. Not uncomfortable, but definitely snug, not much room to move around. Weird - this hotel chain, APA, is run by a right-wing Japanese executive. He has run essay competitions for the 'real' history of Japan, the collections of essays are then published and put into the hotel rooms. Flicking through these, I found claims that the rape of Nanking never happened, and that America and China have formed a conspiracy against Japan. Pretty intense stuff for an idle magazine flick. This discovery was more of a point of interest than anything else, but if this political sway is something that you disagree strongly with, you may be confronted by some uncomfortable room decor.

Convenient and clean, helpful staff”
What can you expect at this price? Guaranteed service excellence at any APA hotel chains. Rooms are small but it is the norm in Tokyo. Staffs were extremely helpful and attentive to all needs. 24-hour convenience store right next door which made life much easier. Also walking distance (2 minutes) from some eateries. Just one thing, it was mentioned that there is free on-site parking but it turned out to be a paid one. Anyway, overall speaking, a nice stay.

Perfect place to stay”
- Near JR Station (Shiomi Station) - Near Tokyo Station (Easy to transport) - Have public hot bath - Clean room with fluffy bed & fluffy blanket - Hotel officer fluent in English - Big supermarket nearby - Serveral restaurants near by - Konbini (7-11, Lawson) near by - Room temperature make sense (Winter in my case) --> Comfortable

Hotel nearby Tokyo”
My stay in APA hotel Shiomi Ekimae is for a tour in Tokyo. In the hi season , no budget hotel available within the service range of tokyo subway. Thus , this hotel was an alternate choice. It's only 2 minute from JR station to hotel. Nearby the station is a supermarket with plenty of goods. Lawson and Family mart also stand very close. In the hotel the rooms are very small but every comment said it's an APA standard. Utility was OK. However, there should be more microwave and ice making service, they have only in 2nd and 6th floor.

Hotel with a good price/value ratio”
Good hotel, if you plan to do several daytrips from Tokyo Station. Distance from JR Shiomi is about 200 meters, but the train noise is quite low. Big supermarket near JR station and Lawson inside the hotel. Also features onsen with three baths. I stayed with wife and 6 year old child in twin room, both beds were 120 cm wide. Room is a tiny, but you can still fit 2 suitcases inside.

Great location, with excellent amenities ”
This hotel provided excellent facilities, with great location to Shiomi JR Station, while I like the public spa, especially the open space spa very much. One thing bear in mind is the long time is required to interchange from Keio Line to other JR services at Tokyo Station, please reserve 15 mins as interchange time.

Relatively accessible, clean, good value for money”
This hotel is accessible to certain parts of Tokyo. I stayed at this one because I wanted to be near Tokyo Big Sight, which is quite near (total of about 15 minutes travel time with one transfer station). The hotel is near the Shiomi Station on the JR Keiyo Line, and is eight minutes away from the Tokyo Station. The transfer to the Keiyo Line is quite far though, I think it’s about 500 or so meters from most transfer points, but there is a quaint “Keiyo Street” within the Tokyo Station which is essentially a line up of stores selling food, grocery items, and other unique or gift ideas. There is even a Uni Qlo that you will see in the station. If you do not mind walking that distance, then this hotel might be ok. What I really liked about this hotel is that it has a Maruetsu Supermarket nearby as well as a Lawson and a Family Mart. The size of the room is just enough, a single room is just enough for one person, but it had the room amenities– a fridge, hair dryer, bathroom amenities, slippers, and of course free internet. I did not get to try the restaurant because I just have this notion that hotel restaurants pale in comparison with non-hotel restaurants. I managed to get to and from the Narita airport quite easily, even with one semi-large suitcase and a carry on, I think the escalators and walkalators helped, but there is a short flight of stairs that one has to deal with. The distance from the exit of the Keiyo Line to the entrance of the Narita Express is quite far, so allow time for travel. I took the taxi from this hotel to Big Sight and it cost me ¥1700. For those looking for accommodation in Tokyo, there a tons of options out there. I chose this for its accessibility to Big Sight. Other than that, I am not sure if I will stay here again, because you do have to allow time for travel (walking and train) to get to other destinations. I suppose the key thing is location. One has to study the reviews, the amenities, the proximity to target destinations, etc.

Convenient location”
We enjoyed our stay at the APA hotel. It was easy to find, in view of the Shiomi train station exit and a short walk to the front door. It was very clean and friendly. A Lawson was just at the entrance, making a quick dinner or breakfast very convenient. The room and bathroom were a little squeezy but fine for the one night that we stayed and plenty of room when all you need is a shower and comfortable bed for the night.

Affordable stay in Tokyo”
APA Hotel Tokyo is your no frills hotel. You'll be getting all the basic amenities at VERY AFFORDABLE room rates. You get what you paid for. The hotel is a 5-minute walk away from Shiomi Stn and is 1 train station away from Tokyo Disneyland.

Convenient Location”
Hotel was situated near Shiomi Station(3-5mins walk).Area is relatively quiet at night:) There is a supermart and a convenience store outside the train station where you can get your daily necessities(not that you really need them cos the hotel do provide) but rather to stock up on the wide variety of snacks and drinks Japan has to offer:) There is a few eateries that open 24hr or till late. Hotel check-in is strictly 3pm (However,if you do arrive early, you can place your luggage sat the concierge area and head out:) There is a Lawson convenience store on the ground floor with printing services:) Rooms: It's a small room,we barely had space to walk after putting 2 large suitcase and 1 carry on luggage. But if you are out most of the time, this shouldn't be a problem:) Hotel is situated 2 stops from Maihama Station(Tokyo Disneyland/Tokyo Disneysea) and also 2 stops away from Tokyo Station...it is a really convenient location!

Bit small but cozy”
I used the single room, which was smaller than expectation. Nevertheless, the bed was very big and comfortable. The room was very clean as well. If you are traveling with a laptop, there is Internet connection (with LAN) in the room. Also, Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. If I were to visit Tokyo again, I would definitely come back to APA Hotel!

Near train station”
Shiomi Station is a station along the Keiyo Line from Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disneyland but you have to make sure you board the non-express trains which stop at every station. Express trains skip the station. Other than that slight inconvenience, the hotel is within walking distance from the station and the area seems pleasant and quiet enough. The room was comfortable and there was a convenience store just beside the hotel.

Amazing location”
The location of this hotel was perfect for everything. We were 3 stations away from Disney and then only 2 stars away from Tokyo station. It made commuting around so easy and convenient. It only lost a start due to value because of the breakfast at the hotel. So not worth it. The price is insane and the food was not work that much. You are much better off going into Tokyo to eat somewhere or buying, food at a station And as for facilities, I wish there was a swimming pool or tub or something that allows for swimsuits for all those that are not comfortable with the trend there

Close to subway station small room but good enough”
Very close to Shiomi station, about 3/4 stations away from Disneyland which was in my plan to visit. The rooms were definitely small and I already knew how it would be based on the pictures and previous reviews, but they're clean and functional so that was good enough for me and my friends. The room has its own bathroom with hot shower, small-sized double bed for 2, heater and few other regular amenities.

Location bad, but anyother facilities good”
I couldn't find way from Haneda Airport to APA hotel. It was too much hard to search the way using Google Map. As you know, Tokyo has 3 Metro coperations. These were too much complex to me. The APA Hotel also doesn't have that "How to come to APA hotel from airports." However, the facilitis were very good. Breakfast was soso but SPA was very good. If you want to stay hotel which has SPA in Tokyo, there was a reasonable price. Staff was soso kindness. Also, when you book rooms in Agoda, you write your requirments but I reakon you can't response anwsers from APA hotel staff because I wrote my requirmens but I didn't catch any anwser, and the room was a wrong level(I hope a single room in high level) but I stayed just 2 Level.

very compact”
The room is quite small. Neat and clean. 5 mins walk to Shiomi Station. It have small restaurant and few convenience stores around. Theres also supermaket beside the station, it open until quite late, I think 11pm. It will be a cheaper choice if you are going to Disneyland (maihama). About 3-4 stops away.

Good Value Hotel - Small Rooms”
We took three rooms at this hotel. Despite being small, they were clean with everything you need in the bathroom including a plastic hairbrush and disposable razor. You won't be able to socialise in the room - it's just too small. The best thing was being so close to Shiomi station. Download Hyperdia on your iPhone or Android and it's so easy to get around Tokyo with the rail system. Breakfast was ok. Ate there once only. Good value Hotel. Staff have very limited English. Get a translator app and organise a visitor SIM from Bmobile. It's definitely worth it. You do get free WIFI in the room which is excellent. The Lowes convenience store outside the lobby is great for food and drink. McDonalds and a bigger convenience store with fresh fruit and vegetables is next to Shiomi Station.
