Very dated hotel”
For the price, I would consider it on the expensive side as the room was really dated. Furniture and fittings was probably from 20-30 years back. Super old and dirty. Floor carpet was also torn. One thing I found weird was they do not have air conditioning in the winter. Was told to open the window for air conditioning but my room was facing the train tracks and it was noisy. Was later offered a small portable fan. It’s just a really weird and not worth it stay. Feels like I overpaid by ALOT! Staff were nice and all but the building needs major revamp.

My stay at the hotel was not enjoyable. The room was too small. The bathroom had a strong smell and it does not seem so clean. The bed was not comfortable: the bed itself was low and mattress is hard. The room temperature cannot be controlled because it is a central heating system. So the room was too hot (and if you turn of the heater was too cold). The hot spring was old and it seemed not so clean. Very different from what was in the website. The only good point about my stay were the staffs that were helpful and kind.

Exceptional”
Though the staff I met doesn't speak good English, their hospitality still show great will that they really want to help me out. Very kind and cute. The onsen is good but there are only one washing machine and one drying machine. (have to wait sometimes). The location is a bit far from the Toyama Station (about 15 min walking) However, APA is still a great choice if you are staying here for business and require a relaxing sleep.

Location: it is only 7-8mins normal walk from toyama station. but u will need google maps to find it coz it is not at the main street. U can walk to toyama fugan canal water park which is very beautiful, i recommend that place. From toyama station, u can take train to tateyama alpine route, also u can go to takaoka city by jr train to continue journey to shirakawago, also only few stops to takaoka city which has some attraction to go too. Room is clea, small but still aceptable (standard japan small room), amenities r ccomplete.

Regular local business hotel, a bit outdated but well kept”
Very small rooms (as in all APA hotels) with basic necessities not far from Toyama station. The rooms were well kept and the staff spoke limited English but was helpful and got us checked in in no time. The room smelled like smoke although we had booked a "non smoking" room. Upon calling reception, the staff first came sniffing around the room and bringing an air freshner, then upon realizing this didn't work reluctantly changed the room. They could have been a bit faster in helping out !

Looks very old from outside but inside looks posh and new. Complimentary jams as gift from hotel when I got there. Very near to toyama station, so it is very convenient.

Nice executive hotel, good single room with private bathroom. Not very spacius for big luggages, small fridge inside room, free toiletries, 24h front desk, wifi inside room, good public bath with sauna and outside hot spring. 5-10min walk from toyama station

Good staff, APA standard”
It was not in my plan to stay in Toyama. Due to my delayed bus, I've to changed plan and booked new hotel on that day, for sleep and go to next station early morning. It has not much available hotel with non-smoking room, I choose this hotel. When we arrived, staff said unavailable right now, it might be something wrong with online system but they have not non-smoking room. But i'm very appreciate to trainee staff (tall man) who can speak english, he tried to ask manager/header and solved all my problem, so he gave me deluxe room with non-smoking. Room is small, fit to 2 people, not suitable for anyone who have large luggage. Overall is APA standard. The negative thing is location. It seem to be nearly, but it's so far. You have to walk along the road and cross intersection and walk under the train. If you have heavy baggage, your baggage wheels look like to be damaged. It's poor road, rough and full of stone. If you would like to stay near station, just cross over main intersection, please pay more and stay in APA villa, this is not same APA branch.

A very comfortable stay”
It's a very relaxing and wonderful stay at the hotel, with all toiletries provided. Although the website did not mention free wifi, I had a pleasant surprise with the free high speed wifi available in the room and the ease of obtaining the password via the TV screen. Next time I'm back in Japan, it will be APA for sure.

About 15 minutes walk from Toyama station. There is a public bath in this hotel. Can be a bit noisy if the room is facing the railway tracks.

Stayed 2 nights at a semi double room. Cons : On booking it was stated that it allows 2 adult per room but at check in, the hotel staff has some concern as the bed was small and may not be comfortable for 2 adults. (So why was it allowed for booking in the 1st place?) Staff was unable to assist and kept asking us to contact agoda since payment has been made and no further options/advise was provided. Location was a further (10+min)from the train station. (apa toyama villa is closer to train station) Pros: staff was able to assist us to forward our luggage to the next destination (e.g nagano/narita) since we were visiting tateyama alpine route. Able to store luggage at hotel before check in. hotel provided free return toyama city tram ticket. Room is clean and toiletries (comb, tooth brush, facial cotton pad, etc) were all provided.

We stayed for 3 nights whilst exploring Toyama and nearby places and had a good stay. The staff didn't speak any english but were pleasant and tried to be helpful. Room was very small but we didn't spend much time there so wasn't an issue. Location was next to the train station which was very handy
