APA Hotels have always been on top of our go-to hotels everytime we are in Japan primarily for its location. The last time we visited Japan (Christmas 2022), we chose this Ueno Hotel for its affordable price not minding if it's stations away from Shibuya/Shinjuku where we intended to go. And voila! This hotel again delivered. It's just a few 100 meters walk from the station, very clean as always, and what's best is there's an onsen. Good choice with APA as always.😍

A very all-round hotel ”
Good value of money - the room is a little bit small tho, it provides everything you neeed. It also has a small spa area on 15/F which you can enjoy after a long day. The location is very convenient that it's 30 second walk from ueno station exit, which also connects with skyliner to and from airport. There are also family mart and restaurants nearby that you can find food even during late night ! The hotel is extremely clean and staff is really friendly and helpful.

Room is small but v functional. Love the rooftop onsen. It says no tatts allowed but I went in anyway 😂. 7-11 and fam mart 3mins walk away. Ameyokocho is abt 5mins walk away. U will never be hungry. Museums and park all walkable distance. Skyliner stops at ueno too. Easy for ap transfer. I wil stay here again.

It's in the middle of everything, and is only a few minutes from Ueno Station and Ameyoko. Lots of konbini and restaurants around. The staff is very nice and helpful! The food is delicious. The rooms are what you'd expect for a business hotel. I would still recommend this place to my friends.

Fantastic Hotel With In House Onsen”
A great hotel if you're looking for a place with an in house Onsen that can be enjoyed by guests at anytime during its operating period. The rooms are small as to be expected of a Japanese hotel in the city however it's well laid out. The breakfast was great . The location is very close to Ueno station, within 5 mins. Family mart, 7-11, and Doutor coffee are next door, opposite the hotel is Ameyoko shopping street which is very happening!

Good Location”
Good location, close to different train station exits, near Ueno park, near food establishments, cafe's, and convenience stores. There's also a bank walking distance (beside a Tully's coffee) if you're more comfortable withdrawing money there. Good base for exploring the city. Plus points for the Onsen spa located at the top floor. Staff is helpful and accommodating. Arrived earlier than the check-in time but you can leave your luggage at the lobby so you can start exploring the city. Only comment is that the pillow's are not fluffy. Other than that - I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Eki = train station and Mae = in front, and it's true! It's worth it for the money! This place's a coin laundry so you can do some laundry for the trip. There's a onsen here as well.

Convenient location, it has public man-made onsen. No private onsen. Room bigger than APA Nippori. In the morning behind the hotel is a Korean town where you can bought some Korean food. Next building has 7eleven. If you would like to have late check out, you’ll be charged 1,000 yen per hour per room.

Location was excellent (a stone's throw away from Ueno station), staff were polite and professional, facilities were great (especially the public bath), highly recommended if you and your partner are not fussy about the space constraint within the hotel room!

Hotel is about 7 mins walk from Jr Ueno station. From the station, find Exit 3. Basically you will realized it nearer to the Ginza line. But is okay, everything is interlinked there. Furthermore, if you plan to go Asakusa, the Ginza line is the way to go. Room is clean and just nice for a solo traveler. Facility is has an additional edge as it has a public bath which has an outdoor bath. Satisfied with the overall stay!
