just 10 mins walk from ueno station, excellent location. The single room is not big, but enough for solo travelers, and it is super clean and tidy. The ECO stay plan will only provide room cleaning service on the 3rd night, but they will send you the towels and daily necessities to you every day. Best value for money.

Good for solo trip”
Price is cheap because I booked the hotel before Japan officially open up the boarder to all travellers after COVID. The size of the hotel room is suitable for solo traveller. Toilet is clean and there are staff cleaning your room every day. However, there are some distant from the JR station. I noticed that there is another APA hotel which is nearer to the JR station so you may wish to pay a little bit more for a better location. One serious problem of all APA hotel is that the pillow for sleeping is really thin. I have never seen a pillow that thin before. (I think the thickness is just 1/3 of a normal pillow) I didn't sleep well on the first night because of the pillow. Stating from the second night I stacked up the pillow with some clothes so I was ok to get to sleep.

This is about 15 minutes walk to Ueno Station. This is a no-frills hotel, intended for sleeping only. They provide towels, room slippers, washcloths, toothbushes, and std. shampoo, conditioner, body soap. The room has TV, free wifi, bar fridge & electric kettle. Fresh towels are provided daily. 2Adults and 2 Children aged 16 y.olds = 2 single rooms. Each room can fit 2 people, not enough space for two 24-in suitcases, so either travel light or need to put suitcase over bed when need to open. Travelled during winter so we have more stuff brought with us. I personally liked that there is shoe horn in each room- very helpful if you are wearing a slip-on high boots. The hotel have restaurant for breakfast, not buffet, but affordable at ~Sgd12, if you book a day before. They also labeled their water faucet with "water is potable" stickers.

Good location, very clean. Friendly staff. If first time staying in Tokyo then room will probably be very small but this is the standard size unless you wish to spend a great deal more. Easy access to Ueno station and Uneo park

The staff are very helpful and polite. Facilities in the hotel is variety, sometimes the guests have to read the information carefully. The maid tidied our room really clean and well organized. Definitely we will visit APA Ueno Ekimae again in the near future.
