I enjoyed my one night stay at APA Hotel in Yokohama Kannai. The rooms were tiny, but the majority of affordable hotels in Japan are that way. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel and rooms were very clean. I would stay here again.

Conveniently located near restaurants”
Hotel located within walking distance of JR Kannai Station. The good part is the multitude of restaurants nearby, some which stay open till late. The room is the standard APA hotel room; small but it contains everything, including a large TV screen. It happened to be available at a good room rate, so I booked for one night, more like a transit stop on a train trip.

Transportation: Kannai station in Yokohama This hotel is located very close to the station, only a few blocks from the station and it can be seen from the train. It offers 24-hr check in, so we don't have to worry about the time we need to get to the hotel. The checking out process is quick. The room is very small, but very clean. We had a great sleep there.

Convenient hotel near Yokohama”
So this hotel isn't actually in Yokohama, and is closer to Kannai. It's definitely a walkable distance though, and the walk is fairly pleasant. While the hotel itself is nothing to write home about, there are some pretty interesting spots in the area, so you should definitely stay here if you like discovering new places.

Great Location- Good Value”
While this APA is now being out-muscled by its big brother down the road, this hotel is a great choice when visiting Yokohama. Close to the subway, a short walk to the Harbour and all the attractions, I would stay here again upon my return.

Great location but small rooms”
i stayed here on new years' eve, and this room was not worth the price i paid. this was one of the smallest rooms i have ever stayed in in japan, and the bed was extremely hard. bathroom was tiny. not worth the price, but the only hotel available in yokohama for new years'. also had a difficult time initially having a taxi driver recognize this hotel. be sure to refer to it as "apa" and not "a-p-a."

A great hotel with a good price! A clean and tiny room. The best location - it is near the JR station and subway station, and many restaurant near the hotel. Service very well, staff very nice and helpful.

Good location but tiny room”
This hotel is well located very close to Kannai subway and a short walk to central Yokohama. However, the room I had was absolutely tiny, and only suitable for somebody who only wants somewhere to sleep and shower. The bathroom was so small it was difficult to get out of the shower.

My stay was great. There some small things about my single room that was an issue. Not too bad, but next to the window was a small crack in the frame. Other then that, everything was great. The location was right outside of the station and close to convenience stores. The internet was fast enough to stream movies with ease. The price was highly reasonable for my one night stay and for what I was using the hotel room for

Nice location but the room is not so good”
We booked a non-smoking room but there was very strong smell when we got there and remained throughout the stay. The room is very small. No space for us to open the luggage. We need to lay the luggage down on the bed instead. The air conditioning system didn't seem to work properly. We didn't sleep that well that night due to the smell of cigarettes and the temperature was too hot. However, the price was relatively low compared with others in the area. The location was nice; a walking distance to two subway stations. Onsen was great and staff was nice.

quiet hotel, good location, good sauna”
The location is excellent, and Chinatown is just a ten minute walk. The price is good, and the breakfast was good. It's a small room, and the bed isn't very comfortable. It's fine for a night or two, but not more than that. Internet was very good here. The sauna on the top floor is really nice.

nice compact hotel. Rooms are very small but sufficient for your needs. Breakfast bar is good value. Book and pay for the breakfast in advance for a discount. 150 metres from subway. Surrounded by bars and restaurants. Baseball stadium is 200 metres away.

Good location but.......”
Prior to this hotle we had been travelling in Japan for 5 weeks. This was by far the smallest room we had. I am 6 ft 1 . When in Bed my head touched the head board and my feet touched the wall at the other end. The room was around 2.5 mt wide. Unfrotuatley we arrived on a Staurday night and paid $205 AUD which was way too much, however for the mid week rate of $70AUD it would be ok for a one night stay. I have read many reviews about Japanese hotels where people said the room too small for thier luggage I always thourght they must have too much. Perhaps not. I travel with two samll packs and we coulnt put them anywhere other than the bed to open them. THAT said. the hotel is in a good location easy for transport and within walking distace to all tha yokahama hasa to offer.

This hotel provides comfortable sleeping arrangements and decent if not exectly international breakfast. The small rooms are SMALL, meaning one shouldn't expect room to open big suitcases unless on the bed. The bathrooms are not very kind to big people but come with a tub to sit in. The staff is accomodating and understands English, and on upper floor is a washer, dryer, and spa area for all guests. (Though there might have been a tattoe issue, I'm not sure.) We didn't spend much time there except to sleep, and we were very satisfied with the arrangements.
