"The free snacks and beers provided everyday in our kitchen were a nice touch. The breakfast service was nice and efficient. Dining area is a little small, but cozy, so get there early if it is a busy season. Rooms don't have much of a view but well laid out and nice little touches like a tv that swivels in the wall so that it can be watched in the living room or bedroom. Location is not too bad because it is a short walk to the subway. Taipei has a quick and efficient subway system, so great for tourists to get around. If you don't mind paying closer to 5 star hotel rates, this is a great residence for travelers that want something a little more spacious than a hotel room. Though the service seemed more like 5 star."

"We had a wonderful experience staying in Metro Apartment in Taipei for about a week. The location cannot possibly be better. Metro Apartment is right in front of Exit 4 of Minquan W Rd station (like literally within 5 steps), a quiet neighbourhood. Minquan W Rd station (an interchange) is two stops away from Shilin Night Market, 3 stops from Taipei Main Station, and 4 stops from Ximen. With the upcoming Taoyuan Airport MRT, the journey from the airport to Metro Apartment is as easy and weatherproof as it can be. Despite the proximity from the subway station, no noise from the trains can be heard from within Metro Apartment. Within a 5-min walk from Metro Apartment, there is a 7-eleven, a FamilyMart, and a supermarket (Pxmart) for all your supply needs. The facilities provided in Metro Apartment punches way above its price point. Metro Apartment provides housekeeping every day, new bottled water every day, individual cable TVs with headphones, individual lights and power points, small refrigerator, kettle, hair dryer, hangers, towels, toothbrushes with toothpaste, shampoo and body wash, bathroom doormat and slippers. We did not experience any issue with the ensuite bathroom hot water; just follow the instructions to allow the water to reheat between showers. The check in process was hassle-free even though there was no reception counter. Upon reaching Metro Apartment, we verified our booking using the phone outside the door and was given the door code to enter. Once inside, we provided certain details using a phone inside and was given instructions on how to retrieve our room card. We were allowed to check in 1 hour early and took the elevator to our room, which was newly furnished, clean and tidy. The room was small (as should be expected) and the use of space was very efficient. Travelers should be expected to manage their use of space to maximize their enjoyment of the room. "We booked quite last minute for 30 Jan and so had limited choices. DB was one of the few that still had rooms left, so we stayed here for the first time. The place is clean and functional, complete with a washer (which we did not use as it was our last day). Bottled water, coffee and toiletries were provided. Wifi was available but not strong and beds were a little hard. The hotel was located further from Ximending then we wanted, but in between Ximen and Taipei Main Station, with public transport a short walk away. Price is steep for the facilities provided, but that should be due to the period of travel. This would be my best alternative if my favourite hotel is ever sold out again."

"Place and facilities were very clean and great! I can’t complain. However, there’s no lift. Our room was locates at 3rd floor. There’s also no receptionist. You have to read the manual and instruction on the table. Outside appearance doesn’t look like it’s a hotel, no indication. But overall experience, it was great!"
