Apartments in Udon Thani

"This was a quick stay in Udon Thani before heading to Laos and thought I'd stay for a look round. The hotel was up to a good standard and can find no faults expect the reception staff could be a bit more friendly. The room I had was overlooking the road and on the Day Night Bar Plaza but was still very quiet. It had everything I needed and all worked fine. location was good and bars, restaurants, and malls all within easy walking distance. I can recommend staying at Top Mansions."

"Our stay was very comfortable. It is close to the market which provided inexpensive and delicious suppers. Close to the big shopping centre. Easy to travel to and from Udon Thani. Many people speak English here. "

"I have been traveling Thailand for several months, and this was far and away the best value for the price. I have stayed in higher and lower end hotels in Thailand as well as Laos, and Nuntiya is probably the best place I have stayed in out them all. It's not 5 star but it's clean, quiet, safe, roomy, friendly and comfy. I had time to waste before heading to the beaches, and only planned to stay here 2 nights. I wound up staying 5. I was very comfortable there, and the price was great for what I paid for. The staff did not speak English - only one girl spoke a little , but they were all very friendly and always eager to help. The room was big with a big comfortable bed, a leather couch, great AC, a big bathroom, big fridge, big closet and a table. Decent cable with a few English movie channels. The locale is very quiet and not too far from two large shopping areas: Udon Town and Central Mall. Maybe a mile to the first and two miles for the second. It's walkable, but a short and inexpensive ride if you decide to get a tuk-tuk or taxi. The bus station is in between the two, so it's a good stopover for bus travelers, but the airport is a little ways away- about a 15 minute drive. It's about a 15 minute ride to the big Udon park, Nong Prajak, as well. It's near a main drag that has a 7-11 and several delicious street vendors outside. The one thing that sucked was that the computer (located in the coffee shop attached to the hotel) had a broken space bar, so I could not email people and had problems trying to make some travel plans on it due to this. But there is also an internet cafe right around the corner, for 10 baht an hour. All in all, this is a great place and the room I had was a steal for the price. I have stayed in hotels with better location, but for the hotel itself and the value of what you get, this is far and away the best I stayed at. If you are staying in this part of Udon, I highly recommend this hotel. "

"Value for money. It's still possible to find hotels at a reasonable rate if you are happy with the basics: good bed with clean sheets, warm shower, cable tv, fridge. No frills but if we're outside all day, that'really all we need. No breakfast, but Udonthani is not just any place: you can try out local breakfast in several 'famous' restaurants. Favorites are: kao piaek, joke & gai khatta. If you like a cup of coffee in the morning, try caffee boraan. It all an enriching experience. Don't be afraid to go local in Udon. It's still my most favorite city in Thailand."

"If your looking for somewhere for one or two nights it’s ok... not easy to get around .. they don’t rent motorbikes out.... no bus into udon... their are places to eat near the hotel... the staff only speaks a little English "

"The hotel was nice, clean and neat. Located in quiet place and not easily accessible by foot. However if u have a transport, it’s an ideal place to stay as the price is one of the best in udon Thani."

"I haven't stayed at a hotel in Udon Thani before, so I can't compare this hotel with similarly priced hotels, but I thought the place was a great value. While located a bit far from most places, there's a nice park a few minute walk away. The night market is about a 20 min walk from the hotel. Check-in/check-out process is very quick, staff is friendly, and they have enough drinks, toiletries, and microwavable meals (and a microwave) in the lobby to count as a mini-mart. No breakfast, but it seems they have the facilities to provide one, so maybe they will in the future. Otherwise, you'll have to walk a few minutes to a main road with many food stalls and restaurants. Room was clean. Nice facilities. Wi-Fi worked pretty well. They almost have the shower separated from the rest of the bathroom - seems like they should have taken the extra step to separate it more so water doesn't run out to the rest of the bathroom."

"I was extremely pleased with my stay at City Inn. It's not so easy to find off of the main road, but from the main bus station it's literally a 2 minute walk away (just ask the guys in the orange vests that work at the bus station, it's a stone's throw away once you know the right direction to walk). The owner is extremely friendly, she will help you with anything you need and her English is fantastic. WiFi is fast and reliable, rooms are spacious (for the price) and clean, and there are English movie channels on the TV. I'd recommend this to anyone traveling Udon Thani, especially if you're arriving at the bus terminal."
