So i have spent several months at time in and around Ho Chi Minh. The city is changing all so fast its hard to understand many things even if you come several times a years now. I like this location as there are many points of interest within 5 mins that make this location a good option depending on your interests. they have staff at the first floor most of the time (a...So i have spent several months at time in and around Ho Chi Minh. The city is changing all so fast its hard to understand many things even if you come several times a years now. I like this location as there are many points of interest within 5 mins that make this location a good option depending on your interests. they have staff at the first floor most of the time (again this is a converted appartment) and keep the place running smooth. There rooms are cleaned daily and for the most part clean (ants in my last room). But the kitchen is nice as i dont like eating resterant food daily and many small goc stores within 10 min walk or a 2 min scooter.

We stayed in 1 bedroom unit for 3 days from 28th Oct. The security was good as security guard would check every floor regularly and you have to have key card accessing a door before getting access to unit door. The room was clean and spacious. There was glass installed on bathtub to prevent water spreading but one time my head almost hit on it when eyeglassess weren't...We stayed in 1 bedroom unit for 3 days from 28th Oct. There was glass installed on bathtub to prevent water spreading but one time my head almost hit on it when eyeglassess weren't worn during shower ( I guess elderly or those with eye problem may also need to be careful of that). All staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a day tour through local travel agent but next day the tour bus didn't come as scheduled. The receptionist proactively helped call the local agent to make sure we didn't miss the tour. If wanted to go to those sightseeing spots in city by taxi just told the receptionist and he would speak to the taxi driver in Vietnamese to make sure that you will go to the right place. No breakfast was available but the 'banh mi thit nuong'/ 'banh mi cha' sold by a local lady around the corner was yummy (&honestly charged same as local! lol) and there're more restaurants just 2 mins walk further. Check out was quick and easy. Overall, it was a good stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

We are a family of three with a teenage son. We stayed in the apartment for three nights during our two weeks travelling across Vietnam. Mostly we stayed in four stars hotels during this trip but Saigon apartment was the most comfortable accommodation for our family. The staff and management were very helpful. Even though the apartment is located a short taxi ride from the centre, I would see it as a positive factor. After a day in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City you would appreciate the quieter area were the apartment is located. You would have no problem in getting a taxi at any time of the day within a minute or two. The taxi ride to the centre would only cost you a couple of US dollars or less. I would highly recommend this accommodation t anyone.

The Glenwood Suites in Ho Chi Minh City is a great little serviced apartment. The check in is a bit difficult because you need to the very pleasant guards to find the lady to check you in.....but once you get beyond that, you're golden. There’s also an iron, a hairdryer and basic toiletries. The only disappointment we faced was that it wasn’t spotlessly clean, and lacked some basics like washing up liquid and salt. It’s also a reasonable walk to the nearest supermarket.

I booked thru Agoda a room at Happy Homes with an address at 178/17 Co Giang Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. At first, the guard-slash-receptionist whom we were able to talk to seemed rude and impolite. We were trying to tell him that we have a booking at Agoda, but...This has been resolved with Agoda. But I just want to share it for the benefit of other travelers. I booked thru Agoda a room at Happy Homes with an address at 178/17 Co Giang Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. At first, the guard-slash-receptionist whom we were able to talk to seemed rude and impolite. We were trying to tell him that we have a booking at Agoda, but he kept on saying that he does not know anything about Agoda and that they are full. He let us talk to his boss through a mobile phone, and we were told that the check-in time is 2PM. So my friend went on a city tour, I volunteered to wait for the check-in time because of our luggages. After maybe 30 minutes, I was cued that the room is already available. But I noticed that the room is part of the Miss Loi Room for Rent with an address at 178/20 Co Giang District (which is also available at Agoda). The guard-slash-receptionist also got my passport because according to him, they need to verify first if a payment has been done. This was the reason why we called the Agoda Customer Service and request to resend the voucher to my email address. I am glad that Agoda was very helpful in resolving the bad situation. But I hope that Agoda would really ensure that travelers get what they booked for, that if you book for a room at Happy Homes, you'd get a room at Happy Homes and not in other hotel. Thank you.

I booked a room where it indicate the room comes with lounge access. However when I checked with the staff, they don't understand there is such a item provided. The lounge access is just a small area at the hotel lobby. Probably they should remove that lounge access to avoid confusion. Their room are spacious compared to other hotels with similar pricing. You probably have to take a taxi or walk about 15 to 20 mins to the backpackers area. The staffs are friendly and courteous. I do recommend this hotel. considered value for money.

The good stuff: The room was huge, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. There was a WIFI modem in the room so the connection was excellent. The AC unit was brand new and very easy to use. Blackout curtains covered the windows and could turn day into night. The balcony was also very big. Every evening during the week and some mornings the building is used as a space for music lessons. It was pretty loud but we honestly didn't mind. The music was nice and it was cool to say hello to the enthusiastic kids when we passed through. Overall the stay we had here was amazing and we would recommend anyone to stay here. Although you are far away from District 1 if you have a scooter it would only take 15 minutes to get in. Phu My Hung is closer and great for a night out too. The best part of the stay was the owner Phong. (I hope I spelled that right) He was the nicest most accommodating person you could meet and his wife was the same. The gave us tons of advice about things in Saigon and more. Thank you 10/10

I liked the location of the apartment as it is less busy than District 1. However, you need to take a taxi which is generally quite easy to get. The hotel staff will always call one for you. We had lunch at the cafe every day. Though the menu was limited, the food was great. It was a pity though that the cafe does not open for dinner. The location in district 12 is very close to where we wanted to go, with a very close walk/Uber to the main city. The rooftop pool is amazing (although a bit chilly) and the view is great. The staff was impeccable, and it was even nice having laundry in the unit. Other than that, the stay was great, and having the convenience store attached was very convenient.

our family had booked the apartment for 7days. overrall it had been a very good experience , unit is well furnished with all basic necessities . you can even cook a simple meal as the kitchen is well equiped with pots and pans. we even hosted an event at the BBQ pit withtin the apartment. We had a wonderful stay at Saigon Mansions/Poonsa Apartments. The location is quite central and if you are brave enough to cross the roads then you will find most areas of interest nearby. We did walk to the War museum which is located on the same road as the apartments, and you are in walking distance of a supermarket as well:) You could probably walk to the markets and the theatre (and other areas of interest), however, we took ubers to and from for around 20,000- 30,000 VND (approx 1 GBP). We were met by Yin when we arrived, who was most helpful. She booked the tunnels trip for us and helped organise transport, and also pointed out the local sights nearby. We had a great time in Vietnam and as a family of 5 appreciated having the 3 bed-roomed apartment. The kitchen was equipped enough for us to eat in and also had a washing machine:). High ceiling and good sized bedrooms meant that we could relax together and had our own space too. All staff- reception, cleaning to housekeeping were very good. If we visit Ho Chi Minh again, we will stay at Poonsa:)

However, after staying at Jack Apartment I can say for me it was also a 10 out of 10, and here is why. I like District 7, it's quite, newer construction, large variety of food & shopping within walking distance, and still within a short distance of many places many travelers will want to go/see in District 1 ($1-10 USD Grab taxi or motorbike). The room was exactly as shown in the photos, very spacious, new, clean and well kept. The internet worked great, comfortable bed, the flat-screen TV had an Android TV attached, the bathroom had a bathtub, and the kitchen was a nice plus. The staff cleaned the room daily, provided 2 fresh waters/day, along with fresh towels, and did our laundry. The staff was friendly & helpful. Jack Apartment exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, or recommend to a friend.

Room cleaning every two days (you get everytime two 0,5L water bottles). Searching for a negative to say, I would have to say the TV in the room I had is not in the best location. it is in the ante room to the bedroom and not in the bedroom. The place is surrounded by all attractions within 5 minutes walking. Lots of restaurants, pubs, and 24 hour convenience store around. This is a very nice flat and it's obvious that a lot of thought was given to designing the interior, the bed is very comfortable and the furnishings are of good quality. However, my sofa appeared to be a sleeper sofa and was too hard so I used another chair. The area is near international schools and appears to have more expats than Vietnamese at times, which is OK but I rather see more Vietnamese, if I want to see a lot of expats I can go back home or look in the mirror! It's a bit far to walk to the super market or convenience store, so better if you have a motorbike or enough time to talk the walk to get some food. But some don't mind the walk, depends on how much time you have. I met Miss Yan, the host, on my way out and she is very nice and pleasant. However other than that, the communication was a bit weak, maybe because it was a few days before Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday. I would go back but only if I decide to buy or rent a motorbike, cheers.

Moreover, Mai-Sky and Chris went above and beyond to make our stay great, from recommending an excellent riverboat company for our tour of the Mekong Delta and providing cell phones and a wifi ...My 3 friends and I had a fantastic time at Mai-Sky's place! They are willing to help with usage of washing machines and ironing facilities. The main entrance is closed by 10.30 pm but the garage is manned 24 hrs, so returning late is not a problem. At the lower floors are a beauty school, so there are many young girls coming in to study in the morning, the students are polite and if anyone is interested, they are willing to practice hair cutting, washing, coloring, nail polishing etc on guests for a very very small fee. Overall it is a very good stay and I had a good interaction with the staff and students. I enjoyed the hair washing done by the students. At night, the aparment is quiet for a good sleep.

At the day we wanted to check in we got a message, that we can't use our booked room, and we have to move to another apartment.... We actually booked this apartment with a kitchen, but in the new (smaller)one we had just a really small shared kitchen. At first the air cond in the bed room was really not cold since the sun was beating in the room, but after a bit it cooled off. Maybe I;m just a little impatient in hot climates.
