Clean. Comfortable. Close to City Centre, Great Value!”
I stayed in a private room (21) The bed was super comfortable. WiFi worked. Bathroom outside very clean Heating worked very well. Window opened. Great value for money. Staff were friendly and efficient. Recommended. Although the location seems a little bit daunting if you're a female, trying to find it in the dark, alone. There are brick warehouse style buildings covered in graffiti all around.

Comfy bunks, good communal areas breakfast included. Less than 8 minute walk to Birmingham Bullring and 3 minutes from Birmingham Coach Station

Once again I can only be praiseworthy of my stay at Central Backpackers. The staff were very obliging and welcoming throughout my brief stay. The reception area is such a relaxing and sociable space Being able to come and go during the day is another bonus. I had a comfortable bed to sleep in and found the place to be very clean. It is in a very good location as it is a 5-10 minute walk to Birmingham's Bull Ring and awesome railway station. And the National Express Coach station is very close by.

the hotel is very close to the coach bus station and also the train station. the staff is so kind and generous. given that i am quite scared, he changed my room type without charging to improve my privacy. thank you so much, cozy accommodation :)

Good value for a hostel”
Super friendly staff (Samantha) Location is 15 mins on foot from New Street. Bathroom/Shower clean. Kitchen on 2nd building could smell/being ventilated a bit better. Common room is quite packed, no common room on 2nd building Overall, would recommend for a few nights.

Some good bits and bad bits ”
The location is great, very close to the boring and the city centre, although on a bit of an industrial estate. The bathrooms were clean, although all the sinks lacked any sort of pegs for hanging wash bags or towels. The showers were good with plenty of hot water. The room was okay, clean and well ventilated, but the mattress was horrific, it was a foam mattress well past its renewal point. When I arrived, the lady who greeted me was very funny about providing photo ID, which at no point previously had been mentioned, luckily I had an old student ID on me which was “acceptable”. The breakfast in the morning was really great, and made up for a poor nights sleep on a crap mattress

To get there from Bullring not far, but as you leave the Bullring area, it gets run down and at first wondered if I'm made a mistake. For a female traveller it's scary and worrying, but once I got there the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Give me some options and explain about the hostel facilities. Room was clean and bed comfortable enough. Slight noise from other rooms when they slammed doors or in the morning from workers and passers-by. Had a surprised hot drink and toast included in the price and that is nice gesture by the hosts. For anyone travelling on a budget, I definitely recommend and safe, too. Free WiFi, £5 deposit(returned if you bring key back)for a small locker key. Towels available for a £1 and overall the night was worth the money. Thank you to the hosts 👊👍

great shower and bathroom my bed mattress wasn,t so great and no safety rail on bed ,but generally nice sleep even if others banging doors late breakfast fine ,staff fine,lounge fine ,though i never got internet ,its my machine ,many places could not ,old thing like me would recommend

One night stay in female dorm”
Good, no-frills budget accommodation. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and the room was clean, my bunk bed was comfortable and came with bedding. Good amount of showers and toilets, but bring your own towel and toiletries. Fairly secure as the rooms have code and key card access, but don’t have lockers for storing belongings. Good location - 15 minute walk to the city centre and 5 minute walk to the coach station, just be mindful when walking back late at night.

I only stayed for one night and opted for a twin room, but in the end used it solo as my friend dropped out. I think I did see a warning message about an event on on the night I stayed but as I was also going to a concert I didn't think much of it. Had I known it was going to be a Dance event with thumping beats until 4am I'd have opted for a hotel instead (or got a ticket to the rave!). Comfortable, but not much sleep! The toilets next to my room were out of order, which was fine as I didn't have to hear a lot of coming and going. In general all was very clean and tidy (although the industrial strength fabric cleaner on the duvet a bit too strong too, took some getting used to!) Despite the previous nights party, the hostel seemed really quiet. I have stayed here (in the same room) before and would again, but would definitely check nearby events and likelyhood of being able to sleep!

Cramped, central location”
Central location, pleasant staff and nice new shower room but property and dorm rooms are too cramped and need up dating.

Fine for a quick stop ”
I stopped here for an overnight trip in Birmingham. The area seemed a bit unsafe so I got back before dusk. The place itself seemed fine although there was no lock on the bathroom door in the room and there were too few sinks for the amount of communal toilets. The location to the city was good, however.

Highly over rated facility in which there is no TV in double room even. Wi-Fi disconnects every now and then.

Stayed only for one night and there must have been bugs in my bed. I woke up covered in itchy spots all over my right arm, feet and a few on my back. Would never recommend it to anyone!!

Central like the name says. I would stay again - but it was expensive (because there are no other hostels around).
