The hotel has a fab location. Very friendly staff. Very clean and classy hotel. Breakfast was fab with all you need for good hearty filling in the morning. Rooms Very comfy and clean and bed was very comfortable. Well worth a visit and stay. Would highly recommend this hotel. Worth a visit.

The hotel is well situated close to the train station and in the city centre. The room was spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. An excellent choice for a city break.

A great place to stay for the rugby”
Very close to all the Cardiff sights and sounds for the rugby matches. Very convenient and good sized rooms. The only downside is the price hike for game weekends but this happens all over Cardiff. Would recommend as a place to stay for convenience but now lacks car parking facilities and you have a 10 minute walk to the nearest public car park.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast- cleanliness a little lax!”
We received a free upgrade to a great suite with two beds, large bathroom and mini fridge! Toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities were great, breakfast staff were great, however there was a horrible (What looked like a) vomit stain on the bed frame and carpet which we had to clean and an old used bunched up sock in the window which we didn’t want to touch. The rooms were quiet and in a great location.

it was really nice to have connecting rooms with our young boys! the hotel was very friendly! the only thing was parking wasn't super convenient. but very close to high street, eating and shopping!

Unprofessional check in desk staff ”
My check in was nightmare. Reception lady gave me wrong hotel room key while someone else was in the room. Then finally went to write room but card key didn’t work. I had to go down get new key. So every time go outside can’t get in to my room because of problems with key room. I did not enjoy my stay. Also room was so dirty didn’t feel like 4 stars hotel. I would say would not value for money. I would be happy if I get my money back. But I will definitely not going to stay in Clayton hotel again.

1. Never vacuum the carpet in a stay of 7 days 2. Too dim in the room 3. The hotel is very close to bar and clubs, not recommended for family stay

We couple stayed here with our 2yrs old toddler. The room had no windows. No enough ventilation and it was smelling very bad. The bathroom was very dirty and the smell goes into the team if someone using the bathroom.

Worst Hotel in Cardiff”
First of all the staff asked to pay for the room at the time of check in and check out even mentioned them that’s paid in advance. Furthermore regarding the cleanliness I will give 4/10 we changed the room three time and for facilities 2/10 the reason of low rating in facilities as our room phone wasn’t working so no contact with room service or reception. I should have paid bit more and gone for marriott hotel. Definitely no for me.

Sincere and helpful staff Ms Lito. Water pressure from fixed shower is low and no handheld shower, so it’s like taking a shower under drizzle.
