Very helpful staff and very polite. The room was clean with plenty of space and good size bathroom. The location suited us fine because it was close to most things we wanted to do in the centre of the city. Breakfast was also good with all the things one would need. Would definitely go there again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, a room with exactly what was needed (including kettle that boils quickly and tea) and perfectly located. Slightly cheaper car park by barracks at 5 mins walk.

Hotel is good value for money and is just a three-minute walk to the city center. We are very thankful they allowed us to extend our stay until the afternoon for just an additional 10 pounds, we are very grateful to the staff!

Very comfortable to stay in this hotel. The staffs were nice to me, willing to help out nicely. Location is nice as the shops and shopping area is 5 minutes walking distance.

Easy to get around ”
Close to city, venues, shopping, transport. Train line behind hotel but not a real bother. Lots of eateries and bars nearby.

Good place to stay. Was clean other than a hair clip under the bed. Good location only down side was are room was facing a very busy train track and trains were every 10 minutes from 6am so was woken at 6am

but just opposite the motorsport arena so depends on where u need to go. Walking distance of est 10 minutes to bus stops and train stations.

After staying at this hotel for less than 1 night, we ended up leaving at 3am in the morning as the noise from the Motorpoint Arena opposite was horrendous, The road crew were packing up after whatever act was on that night and the loading of gear onto a 40ft lorry was truly awful. obviously the hotel had no control over this but it absolutely ruined our stay, we checked out at 3am and drove the 140 miles home as we could not sleep due to the noise, £220 for tickets to a show, £250 for the room, £90 in fuel to get there and back and £25.00 for parking wasted, As I have waited 6 months for this show bought for me as my 60th birthday present I was rather dissapointed. The staff were very polite and pleasent but the room neeeded refurbishing badly, to be honest it was worse that any B&B we have stayed in and some of those were pretty dire. The location was brilliant being only a few hundred yards from whatever you wanted, Food, Pub, and even a supermarket with the Motorpoint Arena just 50 Yards away. Shame it was ruined by the noise, In order that we didnt make the staff feel bad we just said that someone was unwell at home and so we had to leave. Moving rooms at 3 in the morning would have been just as bad as leaving. So this review is not a reflection of the staff at all. Cardiff is a great city, the locals were very helpful and very friendly and when time allows we will revisit but unfortunately not back to this Ibis.
