Poor location, no facilities, basic room for price and hidden charges”

This hotel does not have an facilities, is hugely over priced for what it offers. It’s very far away from the centre and there is an extra charge at breakfast if you want an egg! I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Hotel very clean, staff very friendly - thought food was expensive so dined in city - information where to park before arriving would have been handy as you cannot park outside

Nice eccentric hotel”

Pros - good location, nice views over the marina, nice bar, excellent breakfast, clean room and hotel, easy check in. Cons - old lifts, shower did not drain and overflows into bathroom ask for it to be fixed but they never repaired the drain meaning i could only shower for 1/2 minute before it overflowed. No toothpaste in the bathroom and the rooms are quite small.

They gave us a room overlooking the marina wonderful, the staff were so friendly especially Adriana in the restaurant and the breakfast was full of variety, it was hard to choose. The rooms were immaculate . Couldn’t have been better.

Funky, modern hotel ”

Such a pleasant surprise! Room wasn’t huge and was inland but still had a fantastic view of part of the marina. The decor was amazing! Tea, coffee & biscuits, hairdryer, ironing board & iron , mini bar were all in the room - what more could you want? Excellent bathroom with big, modern shower and humorous labels & toiletries. We asked for extra towels at 11pm and they were there in less than 5 minutes! Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t have it .......... maybe next time. I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

Hidden gem”

Don't be put off by the 'back door' feel of the entrance, the hotel is really nice - modern, clean, stylish and with delightful views. It has a smart cocktail bar overlooking the marina and a equally smart restaurant.

Exemplar of style over substance”

We had booked and paid through Agoda for two nights in a sea view room with breakfast, but at check-in were asked if we wanted breakfast. We said we had booked breakfast but the receptionist (pleasant enough but foreign with poor English) claimed not to have a record of this. She then asked if we wanted to "upgrade to English breakfast from continental breakfast" at an additional cost per person per day of £2. We replied that we were expecting to receive English breakfast, but agreed to pay the extra rather than argue the point further, as we were tired from our journey and just wanted to get to our room. We wondered why a four star hotel charging £170 plus per night would risk our disapproval for such a paltry sum. We had enjoyed our stay a few years previously, when it was called the Seattle Hotel, but were to be further disappointed by the recent renovations. The former bright and cheerful tropical style and colours had been swept away and replaced with oppressive black and grey shades for both the corridors and rooms. It felt like being deep underground in a coalmine, and was quite depressing. Our room was ridiculously small, and almost completely devoid of drawers or wardrobes in which to put clothes and other things. There was a cupboard containing a fridge (locked with no key), safe, tea tray, hairdryer, iron and board. You could hang only three or four items of clothing in it but only if you first removed the ironing board. It was very difficult to move around the room as you had to manoeuvre carefully sideways through the one foot gap between the bottom edge of the bed and the long wall unit containing the cupboard. There was nowhere to properly store the ironing board or your suitcases, shoes, umbrellas, and hats, let alone the extra pairs of pillows and cushions not wanted on the bed. After just a few minutes in the room all our possessions were strewn across the bed as there was nowhere else to put them other than on the floor, or on the two chairs

Room was small but perfectly formed! Everything had been thought of and had a place. Lovey if not unusual decor. Very well situated. Will definately return.

very nice staybut the breakfast let it down badly. We could not get served and when we complained to the waiter he said it was in hand. More and more people were coming down and being served but we were still ignored even after bringing it to the waiters attention. We left and complained to the reception staff. Over priced for room without breakfast!!!We gave up and went and got breakfast in the weatherspoon which was excelent.

We have stayed at this hotel on 4 or 5 ocassions. This is our first choice of hotel @ Brighton, it is situated in the centre of the Marina. The staff always greet you with a smile, nothing is too much trouble.

Nice hotel with all the features you need. You really have to stay in room with a sea view otherwise your facing Asda.
