No Hot Water For 3 Days!”

Ideal location North of Blackpool. Bedroom clean & tidy. My main ripe is that there was no water in our bedroom for 3 days. Reported it to Reception on numerous occasions, but nothing was done to rectify this issue. I was provided with a Compliments Slip and told to eMail their Customer Services. Upon entering the Ground Floor of the Windsor Wing of the Hotel stunk of Cannabis Skunk - Smoking in the bedrooms seems to be accepted! .... Cleaning Staff outside most mornings clearing up the Nub Ends seen scattered below our windows. I have returned home and commenced Complaint Procedure.

After waiting over an hr to check in, room was nothing like in pics, smelt damp. Mattress was hard and woke up to flea bites around ankles. Checkout busy again so was queuing to complain. In the end put key in checkout box and headed off. Never Again.

You be stayed in much better hotels however non with so much character!!! I had a ball here and laughed so much. All walks of life in this hotel and because the weather was horrendous we stayed in the hotel and ended up having a really good time.

Had a last minute booking s going for a meal at a nearby restaurant, room was clean, looked newly refurbished and as described on your website. No problem checking in but can understand if you wait until 3.30pm it does take a while. Drinks in the bar were cheap and friendly service. The only downside was that the fire doors were noisy when they were shutting as people were going for breakfast or checking out.

The initial room I was assigned was absolutely sweltering in heat. I complained to be accommodated in a cooler environment which was very clean with a sea view. The pool was fine but a small charge of £5. On one of the days the pool entry was delayed until 1 p.m. which was really not convenient. I decided to stay here owing to the lower,cost and space residing within each room for I was not disappointed.

Norbreck Castle is a budget hotel, providing just what it says on the tin. Our room was very clean but everything is very basic. The bedding is ready for renewing. The furniture must be what was put in when the hotel was built. On saying this it provided a comfortable bed and excellent breakfast, what more could we want for the price we paid?

Old and in need of renovation ”

Pros. It was warm. Negative. It rains inside the window, it's old and very in need of a face-lift. I couldn't park in the car park so I had to park on the sea front road. The staff were very non friendly. Here's your key and that was that! We were put in a room which was like the titanic when it was sinking, there was rain coming in on the inside of the window. I wouldn't stay there again if you paid me!

The only problem was with Agoda. I asked online for early check in, the hotel never got this message. I also tried to phone Agida on several occasions and spent at least 10 minutes each time on the phone but NEVER even got a reply.

Very good hotel for short notice booking,excellent food and friendly staff prices in peak time are a bit high for me but this visit perfect, room 331 could do with a bit of work as paint peeling above windows and new curtains required but apart from that very happy with the one night I stayed.

One night stay ”

Nice and cheap for a one night break with nephew. Swimming pool 😀 The rooms do need upgrading, Windows washing and carpets vacuuming and lick of paint same as reception area then this would make all the difference Noisy at night guests slamming doors and people allowing their children to shout and carry on until midnight Lift didn't work so had to climb stairs with suitcase. When checking out , they was last night wine glasses on table that hadn't been cleared away which didn't look nice. Simple things that could be done to make it a lovely place

Good budget hotel”

Check in was easy and friendly, rooms were very small although no problem to us as we were only staying one night (I am guessing they keep the bigger rooms for longer staying guests which would make sense). Rooms were very clean but dated and could do with decorating as wallpaper was hanging off wall in the corner of the bathroom. The bar staff were friendly and prompt. Breakfast was very busy although we were shown to a clean table straight away, staff were very efficient here and the buffet breakfast was excellent. For the money we paid I have absolutely no complaints, excellent value and service.

weekend at norbreck”

When you first enter the norbreck it looks dated and to be honest it is quite but the staff are all nice and help in any way they can there is more to do at the hotel than i thought from the in door pool to the gym and even its own cinema. The is a little shop around the corner where you can buy all day tram an bus tickets from and it will save you alot of money if your going into blackpool a couple of times aday.

web site advertised room with breakfast,when booking details printed off,breakfastwas not included.felt slightly misled.receptionist at hotel blamed agoda,and said for the price paid it wouldnt include breakfast. fire alarm went off 01:30hrs,someone had atempted to exit the fire doors,this had gone off the night before we were told.so it wasnt a one off. we would stay again because the hotel had lots to offer,but breakfast would definitely be on the menu.

Awful hotel, and location is a bit far out of town”

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The steps to the entrance were littered with cigarette butts and people smoking. The lift was slow and stank. The wifi was slow and only seemed to work in one very small area. It was packed full of coach tours, and the breakfast was swimming in grease. The matters was probably good quality 30 years ago, but well past it's used by date and very uncomfortable. The room was hot and only small window to open. You could hear every noise and full of people shouting down the corridors at 1am.

Terrible place”

The hotel is run down and dirty. It's an eyesore from the outside and even worse inside. The main reason why I would never stay there again is because there were bed bugs on the bed and the tell tale tiny blood stains on all the bedding.

Faulty towers”

The place is a joke,needs totally refurbished and deep cleaned. The so called entertainment was crinch worthy. You have to queue up for breakfast and when you get in for breakfast it’s a cattle market with very little variety. The only saving grace for this hotel is the staff who try their best

This hotel caters mainly for seniors which left very little for the children except for a few arcade”

We arrived at 6:00pm. We tried to book a table for the restaurant only to be told that they weren't taking anymore bookings because the restaurant was full. The snack bar was closed, so no joy there, we were told however that there was a very good fish & chip restaurant in Bispham just x2 tram stops from the hotel. Not ideal with x2 children when the weather is very wet & windy, but we needed to eat. The room was clean but considering there were x4 of us we only had x2 cups, towels etc., The TV remote was missing & we were told we would have to wait untill the morning when maintenance get in. I explained that with x2 children & nothing in the hotel for them to do, it would be nice if the TV was an option. We were told that they would look for a spare but we would have to go and collect it. One member of the reception night staff was quite abrupt & came across as being rude. Due to the heavy rain the hotel bar & lobby had buckets scattered around. If you only want a bed this for you.

First of all lift completely broke,bed in double room against the wall and no good when you have bad knees,changed rooms and new room disgusting mould on walls damp and dirty,I opened curtains and the dust was unreal it was absolutely disgusting,drunk people on reception using bad language,people banging on doors durin night,staff walking in my room and dropping off a pillow which I didn’t ask for, .ive stayed in cheap rooms in Blackpool for 20 quid a night and a million times better than this place.i will never ever stay here again.
