I stayed here after seeing a comedian in town. It was a bargain at just under £12 for a night and very Close to town and the train station. The bed was comfy, but the only downside were the strangers I had to share the room with. I got in at 10pm, so not that late and one guy was snoring really loud. This went on for hours, so I couldn't get to sleep. Then at 2am, 2 new people arrived and had a full blown conversation with each other, out loud. They didn't seem to care that others were asleep or trying to sleep. I can just about put up with snoring for one night, but hate rude, ignorant people. I was tempted to tell them to shut up, but didn't want the hassle. I will stay again, but hope for better room mates.

Very bad sound insulation”
We were there on a Saturday night. Our room is right above the lounge. They had a live rock band performing there and our whole room was vibrating to the music. The music finally stopped at 11:45pm and we could still hear people talking and shouting downstairs. We could also hear the wooden floor boards creaking and loud doors banging throughout the whole night with lots of people walking up and down the hallway. We did not get any sleep at all. The building definitely need some renovation to improve on the sound insulation and the creaking floors in the hallway. The room itself is spacious and cheap but the noise issue is a huge put off. I do not recommend this hostel if sleep is important for you.

Nice location but in need of Immediately wear n tear”
Perfect location, near to the river and walking distance to the station. Cleanliness is a bigger issue, the rooms smell like urinated and feela like floor mop was never washed with clean water - a unhygenic feeling.

Unhygenic and worn out facility ”
Location is good and you may find free street parking after 6:30pm but Proerty itself is unclean, worn out and appears a bit tricky.

I have stayed in better places at his cost of a separate single room. Except the bedsheets and towel, everything else was dirty and not clean. The furniture and utensils are worn out.

Value for money ”
CON : matress too soft. Spring already soft. Not comfortable to sleep . Very weak bed frame. Giving plenty of noise. Room door broken. Open close give annoying sound. Disturb others sleep. Few toilet door totally broken.

The common room was very welcoming and relaxing to be in. I was put into an 8 bed dorm room and it was quite small, especially with everyones luggage. Another negative would be that there were no lockers in the room, making locking your valuables away quite annoying as the only lockers available were down in the common room. In saying this I did find I was quite comfortable with leaving my belongings out as the rest of the hostel had good security. The bunk beds were very comfortable except for the fact you were unable to sit up on the bottom bunk without hitting your head. A major issue I had was the showers. The showers had little to no air ventilation, making it very hot and stuffy. On top of this you did not have an option to change the heating of the water in your shower, due to this it was unbelievably hot. You also had to keep pressing the shower knob every 15seconds to keep the water going. Something about this needs to be done!!

Great value accommodation, nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff, 10 minute walk to Cardiff castle which we were visiting, very good breakfast, would definitely stay again.

Great staff, location, value for money, room with a view. The toilet could have been cleaner and could have had a broader range for breakfast. But I'd definetly visit again and loved it.

Quiet place”
Although the opposite side is the stadium, the area is quiet. It's also easy to go to the main streets by few minutes walk.

I stayed in Quadruple room which was around half of the room in the picture and it was not nice like the pictures as well. However, there is little kitchen zone and minibar in the room. Another weak point of this hostel is there is only one bottom to push which is very hot water. We cannot adjust it and staff told us to use shared shower rooms that may better or waited to use in the morning but the results are the same. I'll give you more info that water is boiled from 10pm-2am, so the best time to take a shower maybe 9pm. For breakfast, there are only drink bread conflect and some fruit. When compare with the facilities and the price that we had to pay it's not valuable but staffs were very nice and helpful.

One night stay in January”
Spacious warm hostel in a good location next to the national stadium. Decent breakfast too. Only issue was loud neighbours partying but no fault of the hosts. Would stay here again.

Best Hostel in Cardiff”
Great Location, near principality stadium, go stay here if you want to watch champion league final, it's just across the canal from the hostel great facilities, they have pool table in the pub and also kitchen. will stay here if i were to visit cardiff in the future

Close to the city center and park”
It's very close to the city center and the park . Also walkable to Cardiff Bay. I really love the location, cause it's really easy to get to anywhere.

Pros : Very friendly and helpful staff. However room basic ammenities are a bit overworn. (Mattress are flat with old bed sheet )
