Located just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Newquay. Lovely room with a huge bed. I've never stayed anywhere offering so much choice at breakfast time.

Had a lovely time here and would definitely return. Unfortunately the kettle in our room was either lagged with lime scale or food had previously been cooked in it or both. Either way it wasn’t very appealing for a bedside brew. Fortunately though we had 24hr tea making facilities in the breakfast dining room downstairs so it wasn’t much to fuss about. If the kettle was spotless I would have given five stars for cleanliness. All in all a very nice place to stay with it’s own games room (pool table) and a nice view of the sea :)

An excellent small hotel, located in an ideal position in Newquay and a short taxi ride from the air”

I recently stayed at the Quies hotel during a holiday short trip to Cornwall. The Quies provided an ideal hotel to stay at for travelling around Cornwall, being close to the bus and railway station. The hotel is quiet, extremely well run with friendly staff and spacious en suite modern bedrooms. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone wishing to visit the area.

Best Hotel”

We only stayed one night but it was probably the best value for money hotel that we stopped in on our five week holiday. Only negative thing I can see is, you have to lug your bags up several flights of stairs. Wasn't a problem for us but it could be for others. I would highly recommendthis place.

A great hotel close to the town/beach”

A great little hotel close to the Newquay beach and town centre. Upon arrival, the host gave us an intro on how to get around Newquay. The reservation arrangements between the hotel and the third party wasn't efficient enough as I ended up with a standard double room upon arrival, having booked the one with a balcony on Agoda. Neither the hotel nor the reservation provider took responsibility for the miscommunication, although the provider later refunded the difference after a complaint was initiated. The room was very spacious and clean, but a bit noisy as it was next to the busy road. Parking provisions are limited. Great breakfast spread and amenities for recreation. Barring the reservation goof-up, everything else @ the hotel was great.

A pleasant stay. Room was spacious, communal areas were excellent, totally clean. Staff was OK. I would prefer a bit more of a variety in cold Breakfast as it lacked any cheese and ham.

Our stay was fantastic, superb staff and made our stay feel very comfortable. A great new year weekend made by friendly people and surroundings. Hotel was superb and will definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to stay there.

The 1st hotel I'll check for vacancies in Newquay”

I arrived late, but the Manager was very welcoming and gave a very helpful tour to the many facilities and map introduction of the city. The rooms are laid out very spaciously, other typical hotels would just cram in as many rooms as possible. But the Quies has a very good lay out, of a distinct hallway and separate entrance into the bedroom and enormous bathrooms. The rooms are big, bright, well maintained and very clean. The entertainment and eating facilities are plentiful. They will even provide additional beach towels. Fantastic, friendly staff. This will be my first choice when returning to Newquay.

A gem of a hotel”

Perfect welcome from very amenable owner. Perfect staff attentive at breakfast. Breakfast set you up for the day. The room was of very high standard. Very comfortable bed and superb cooton bedding.
