Highly recommend”

Good location, close to city center, University of Glasgow, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Many restaurants and bars are nearby. One minute walk to bus stop with different route so it's convenient if you don't have a car. I had a twin room with family two weeks ago and I was happy with my stay. This time I came back by myself , the size of the single room was perfect to me, clean, comfy and quiet. Breakfast was good and staffs were nice and helpful.

Great location and the loveliest of staff”

We only stayed for one night for an event at the SECC which ended up being only 10 minutes away. The 24hr reception means you can have a great night out and come back to your room at any time and you can leave your luggage after you have checked out for as long as you want. The rooms themselves were very clean, the beds were also extremely comfortable. However, I didn't appreciate the shower. It had a few spots of mold on the ceiling and the shampoo was in a public hand soap dispenser type contraption instead of complimentary bottles like you would expect. But other than this, everything else was perfectly fine. The breakfast was great but would like some more choices on the menu or the option to get more of a specific item with the full breakfast. Will be coming back next year!

A very nice lodge to stay in”

+ very nice staff + extremely good and delicious breakfast + sometimes lodge may upgrade your room if available at no additional charge. It's solely at the discretion of the staff + very nice and comfortable rooms + free WiFi in the rooms - no luggage room although you can keep your luggage at reception for roaming around for sometime after checkout - far from Glasgow central railway station. Nearest railway station is exhibition centre which is 10 min walking from the hotel

Handy location but ran out of hot water”

Pros: location and size of room Cons: no black out blinds, ran out of hot water by 9pm, sheets were not clean

Only thing was the parking and having to move our vehicle before 8am on a Sunday morning because of some filming! But lovely place and friendly staff!

Overnight wedding accomodation”

We arrived early, soon after check out for previous guests. Even though our room wasn't ready, the staff quickly gave us a different room to get ourselves ready in as we were attendung a wedding. As we left, they transferred our bags into the room we would be staying in when we returned that evening. The room was very comfortable and had tea and coffee facilities (though a couple of biscuits to go with them would have been appreciated). We were in room 15, at the front of the hotel, and whilst there was quite a bit of noise from outside as we were getting ready for bed we both slept well and were not disturbed at all in the night. Breakfast was served swiftly, there was plenty of choice and it perfectly nursed our mild hangovers. Overall, the hotel was great value with very helpful staff, I would look to stay again if we returned to Glasgow.

An excellent place to stay”

Very happy with my stay here. The location is excellent, with a wide choice of restaurants nearby. Room was large and clean - and quiet which is important for me. Staff very friendly. Bathroom is functional and clean, even if a little dated. Very good breakfast included.

Stayed at the Lodge recently when we were through to see Paul McCartney as the SSE Hydro. The Lodge is - 10/15 minute walk from the venue - perfect, surrounded by an excellent and very varied range of bars, restaurants and shops - perfect, right next to Kelvingrove park for a good morning walk - perfect, 25 minute walk from Byres Road - perfect, close to train links - perfect, cheap parking midweek for which you can pay for at reception and it's free at the weekend - perfect. Plus they do an excellent full cooked Scottish breakfast included in the price. All in all, i really couldn't fault anything about this hotel. Love it and will definitely be back soon!!

Sandyford Lodge”

Very clean and tidy accommodation throughout. All facilities needed for an over night stay. Room had, towels, toileteries, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. No bar or restaurant, but you are only and good 15 minute walk into the city centre with places nearby. Great breakfast in the morning. Great price. Been back twice now A+

Very nice place to stay”

This hotel is very charming and wonderful to stay at. Breakfast was included in my stay and the breakfast was very good. I ate everything on my plate. If you have issues with stairs request a lower level. I will stay at this hotel again.

Walking distance from city centre”

Lodge is in a lovely Georgian building set in a semi circle avenue, in the heart of the restaurant district, nearby is Kelvin grove park and buses pass regularly. House is comfortable & quiet. Rooms are large & comfortable. Stayed 2 nights.

It was very comfortable for tired travelers. It seemed kind of expensive but the location near the university was just what we needed and the staff friendly.

It's quaint, charming and cozy! Although I requested for quiet room they gave me a room facing the street. I'd still recommend it.

Close to museums and restaurants”

We had a lovely couple of nights at the Sandyford Lodge, the room was large enough, the shower was easy to use and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Very close to bus stops for Buchanan Bus Station and Riverside Museum and excellent restaurants just across the street.
