            The 5-star Arden House offers bed and breakfast accommodation with luxurious bedrooms, award-winning breakfasts and free WiFi. Arden House also offers a self-catering studio within the grounds. Surrounded by 105 acres of farmland, Arden is a 30-minute drive from Edinburgh. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a bath, a shower and bathrobes. The rooms are individually decorated with touches of warm colours and some rooms have glass chandeliers. Modern amenities include CD players and flat-screen TVs. Breakfast at Arden Country House is freshly prepared and includes cooked items, fruit and cereal. It is served in the breakfast room for guests staying in B&B rooms and offers views of the gardens. Special diets can be accommodated on request.             Disappointed”

            Arden Country House

            We arrived after a long drive to be met by a petulant woman who told us that we couldn't have a welcoming cup of tea because we had booked through an agency, that we would have paid less if we had booked direct rather than through an agency and that we weren't entitled to breakfast. I asked if I had the correct postcode for Ardern House - our sat nav had directed us to the fish farm next door. This also was our fault for booking though an agency - she would have issued proper instructions if we had booked direct. We have stayed in Bnbs all over the world and have never encountered a welcome like this. Appalling.

            What a wonderful place to spend the night”

            We were welcomed with a warm smile after a long flight, cooked breakfast was amazing, bathroom toiletries of very high quality

            We had a fantastic stay!! The host and hostess are incredibly nice, and excellent cooks! Everything about his hotel is perfect, definitely recommended!
