Excellent diving with fine dining!”
Spent 2 fabulous weeks diving with friends and I can't speak more highly of the staff & dive crew! They pulled out all the stops to ensure our dive stay was a real pleasure. The only negative was the tepid to cold showers which after a day diving in 77-78F water temps in February was hard. Some rooms have no problem but others need serious attention. Fix this and you are 1st class! I can highly recommend the hot stone massage after all that diving. What a selection of treatments for a very very reasonable price, some of the group was there daily! Just loved our dive crew led by Alfred. Not only is the entire Crew extremely competent but mostly they are simply FUN! to be with, all the time. We will miss you all!! Thanks especially for our amazing going away party, including drum band, Marley Rasta reggae guitar and flame dancer. The biggest and best surprise of the trip was Chef Jun, a young star for Atlantis and no doubt in my mind a future star in world gastronomy! Seriously, you don't know how good you are Jun! I highly recommend the full board, you will not be disappointed! From variety of sea critters - house reef is outstanding - to fine dining. It was a WOW dive trip!

A nice get away”
Atlantis is a 4 star hotel. Atlantis is a solid 4 star providing guests with personalized service. Our stay was short but really enjoyable. The staff was very pleasant, with big smiles and ready to help in anyway if you ever need it. We are not divers but we had a nice time enjoying the serenity of the place. When the divers leave for their dives in the morning, the place is ours. Really quiet. The food was very good but a little on the expensive side, just a little. Our room is a little small but comfortable, facing the ocean. it's nice to be sleeping with the sound of the waves in the background and to be woken up by it in the morning. The hotel ground is stunning with foliage that resembles the rain forest. My husband and I both feel very safe. We will go back again and the next time, to try diving. We heard Dauin, and the surrounding areas such as Mt. Apo, offer some of the best diving experiences in the world. And we are looking forward to it.

Exceptional”
Never seen such friendly, helpful, kind & smiley staff like @ Atlantis Dive Resort. Food was excellent! Scuba diving as well. I would recommend Apo Island as one-day scuba diving trip & Ozlop for snorkeling with whalesharks. Such a breathtaking experience! I would definitely go back again.

Second visit ”
This was not a dive trip but a chillaxing vacation to escape the madness that is Metro Manila. We used their car service to and fro , though expensive it was money well spent. As you are pampered from the moment you de-plane until you depart. We arrived early at noon , the staff informed us that our sea view room was not vacant yet and they were kind enough to let us use another room for 3 hours until our excellent sea view room was ready. I have read rather harsh reviews of this Dive Resort and do not concur. The room was great , a few M from the sand and gentle waves. With a private like veranda with a huge hammock. The food was mostly excellent. We used the spa massage services frequently and really enjoyed their service and ambiance. If we receive great service we tip Be it the wait staff , Spa Therapists and housekeeping. We do not care for a written reminder to tip along with a tip envelope. It is not necessary and off putting.

Very Expensive, but you do get what you pay for”
If the weather in terms of flying is cooperating this is a really great place to leave Manila and literally be diving in a few hours. ( I reside in Makati ) Other diving places here can be quite challenging to get to in terms of infrastructure. You are about 30 minutes from the airport and when you get off the Highway you ride down a dusty dirt road. I was wondering if i made a mistake :). Then within a few meters the dusty dirt parking lot reveals a veritable paradise. The landscaping/ gardens are just beautiful. I would love to be there when all of the orchids bloom :). Nothing is wasted in the gardens. Everything is beyond simple words. Chill axing Then you start to interact with the best staff I have encountered in the Philippines. From maintenance, housekeeping , front desk, restaurant to the PADI five star dive center it keeps getting better. I'm used to mistakes and sometimes bad customer service in my new home, the Philippines. There were no mistakes. The room was squeaky clean, tastefully decorated and I had an epic view I have been away from Scuba for a few years. Paul was the instructor who helped me get my comfort level in n the water column up in a short time. The Divemasters were better than I expected. I do wish management would supply better gear for the Divemasters. Some of their gear, thermal protection, signaling devices, slates looked like it was picked out of the trash:( first impressions count. But these DM s are really good. They are safety conscious and point out things on dives I would no normally see The boat crew work hard for their pay. All you carry is your mask and fins. They do all of the lifting I thought I would get bored eating at the same restaurant for a week. Wrong. !!! The food is fresh and really good. This from a foodie who knows good cooking. I gained 20 kilos :) I

Diving was good!”
We were there for two reasons 1. Cycling 2. Diving Cycled around the lower part of the island total 175km. Super beautiful! Highly recommend! Diving - we are beginners, good Dive master was important. Most of the dive masters are excellent, Marco in particular exceptional, learnt so much from him and he made us fill so comfortable and easy to dive! Did a adventure deep dive with Marco. In terms of service, it's standard because we had much better service elsewhere in comparison. We had to arrange travel arrangements ourselves going back to Cebu. They tried to help but failed many times. Food - don't try the Asia selection, it's horrible. (I am Chinese from HK) western food were 100 times better, price was good! Our room has the most basic bathroom, No way it's 5 star resort type, like cheap hotel toilets! So make sure u ask to change room, because we saw better rooms. But we didn't care much, not worth the hassle! Love the gardeners there, they really take care

Business Traveler”
Beautify dive resort/hotel, but not optimal for business travel. Though I've heard this is the best hotel in Dumaguete. Great food.

great location with excellent staff”
we enjoyed our stay here very much. We are not divers , just snorkelers. most people here mostly divers. We visited opo island & did our own trip to Oslob to see the whale sharks. Its about 40 minutes drive to Dumeguete & so its a bit far to travel back & forth lots. The resort charges lots of activities in US$ so its easy to rack up a big bill if your not from USA, for example the day out to opo island was $79 each or any transport was $13 which converts to 573 peso, i think too much. The rooms are simple but comfortable, the beds are only foam so a bit hard but very big. It was very busy there, mostly USA people on package. The office staff are excellent, very well trained as is most of the staff who mostly say hello just passing. Nice small pool with deck chairs but no umbrellas so too hot to sit in middle of the day. The breakfast is complimentary & very varied, very happy except no choice for juice. I would recommend Atlantis, but mostly for divers.

Great dive resort ”
The stay was very relaxing. The hotel was beautifully set in a very tropical environment on the beach with just about the best dive facilities I've encountered. It's very secluded so there isn't much to do other than diving and maybe a massage but we both had a great time.

Would highly recommend ”
Great sea view. Excellent food, and friendly, and attentive staff. A bit on the pricey side, but you get, what you pay for. Beautiful pool, and place is very quiet. Very quaint cottages. There is a good dive centre, as well as snorkel equipment hire. Overall, a lovely relaxing experience.

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR SUCH HOTEL”
Good Hotel for very short stop to dive. The prices in Hotel are very high, beginning from shuttle to the city and ending for small bottle of water. Shuttle one way: 1600 pesos (taxi 500,-) water 75 pesos (supermarkt 20). It is very small hotel appr. 15 km from the city. If you want to go there you MUST take their bus, which is very expencive. If you ask them to call the taxi, they refuse to do it. Would never stay more than 2-3 days their. Diving school is very gut organised, top equipment, very good service. Also nit very cheap.

Beautiful”
It is off the beaten path, which makes it a truly exotic. The food is the best in the Philippines and the staff is wonderful. The diving is epic!

Way too expensive of a resort for what it offers”
They charge way to much for every little thing. Go down the road to any other Dive shop and pay a mere fraction of what this place charges. This place thinks it's a Club Med but it is an average Resort priced way too high. Do not dive with this resort.

overpriced for a three stars experience”
We went to the Atlantis Resort as all the other places we wanted to go were already fully booked (Christmas season). We refused the overpriced transportation from the airport (25USD per PAX + tax.... compared to an airport taxi at the arrival that cost 10USD for 4 PAX). For the check-in you have to fill up three pages of information and you have to attend a briefing where the important information are not even given like wifi password. The room was in front of the swimming pool that was protected by an ugly tarpaulin from a construction site that was noisy and dusty every day despite management saying that they were only doing the electricity. Of course it was not mentioned at the time of the booking. Nothing complimentary in the room, not even the water. Lots of TV channels. Good shower pressure. Extremely weak WIFI signal in the room. If you want to go to Apo Island, you have to wait for them to decide when they want to plan a trip (minimum 6 pax) and then you have to pay an extra 79USD per person (on top of the dives). And you must (!) watch a 12 minutes video at 7am if you want to have the privilege to dive with them. Apo is a sanctuary that needs to be protected, but a briefing before the dives would be more appropriate. Check-out is also painful as you are supposed to pay your bill before 8am if you check out at 11am. Management is also asking guests at their departure to give a tip/gratuity per week.Having a tip box at the lobby is enough. All in all, you are there to make their life easier, not the opposite. The best option is to only sleep there if you could not book elsewhere as the rooms are decent and go down the beach to look for a friendly and cheaper dive centers. Yes the staff is nice and friendly, but like it is the case all over the Philippines.

Very Expensive Option”
Having travelled and dived extensively throughout the Philippines this is by far the most expensive diving holiday we have had for an ok diving experience. People at the resort were great.......

Not for Families with young kids and business travellers”
It has a lot of focus on Diving, and I heard that the diving school is world class. The staff is amazing, BUT that cant make up for lack of good Pool, or any other thing that is needed to keep a family with kids entertained... Its bring to stay there, IF you are not diving.
