Best of all worlds”
Beautifully decorated hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. It's quiet, clean and has 2 great lounge areas that are both comfy and luxe feeling, one being outside in the shade. We didn't even go into town too much, we just utilized the areas available between the Avalon and Hollander Hotel next door as they provided everything we needed at its best. The only cons were that the rooms were a little small (it IS a boutique hotel though, so that is to be expected) and there was no fridge in the room so our leftovers had to get tossed, but that is it; and honestly, we didn't stay int the room too much bc the lounges were great and the amenities next door (pool, bars and retardant) at the Hollander were killer. The staff was on top of their game and made you feel special and taken care of. The price was a great value considering how nice everything was. I know why it and its sister hotel get such great ratings now, I would highly recommend.

LOVED our stay with Avalon!”
We had the finest of times during our stay at Avalon. The staff...John, Randy, Luke and boss Tim...were so very accommodating and pleasant. We felt at home the instant we arrived to our "glass of wine" welcome. Free bottled water, free and very good internet, free parking as well as use of the shared pool and restaurant facilties with sister and adjacent Hollander Hotel make The Avalon a number one pick in St. Petersburg!

Amazing service, cute hotel, great location”
I was so happy with my stay, it was only a shame I didn't get to stay longer. John at the front desk made my stay really pleasant. The hotel itself is so cute and well decorated, it was a pleasure to stay here. The room was really really clean and very cute, wishing it had a mini fridge but I was told the front desk has a full size fridge so no biggie. Overall loved this hotel.

A.truly outstanding experience! Stayed for 3 nights for our daughter’s wedding weekend. Staff was gracious, efficient, and helpful Room was attractive and clean with a very comfy bed. The. Restaurant staff at sister hotel, the Hollander, made our 2 events ( rehearsal dinner and day after wedding brunch) all we could have hoped for! If I could give 10 stars I would!

If your looking for new, pristine?? Book a chain. Between facilities at sister hotel next door it’s amazing for the cost. It has character and the staff is incredible!! Brian went way above and beyond. All staff at both Avalon and Hollander top notch. Restaurant has amazing food pool bar great bartenders and a beautiful pool and no fee cabanas!! Art Deco, clean, sunshine and staff!! You can’t go wrong!

Clean, comfortable beds, location and great customer service. Free wine in the evening and a safe place to explore the neighborhood. Customer service is excellent and the next door hotel’s amenities you can use make staying here a great value. Loved the decor. Expected a smaller bathroom in an older hotel, but it was clean and cute.

I have been going to the Hollander for years. When they opened The Avalon, I have stayed multiple times. I am never disappointed. The staff has to be the best in St. Petersburg! You have access to the Pool and the Tap Room. It is in a great area and they have a shuttle that will take you and pick you up. They are gems! I certainly recommend The Avalon and the Hollander. Perfect way to start the Year!”
I stayed here for the NYE and it was such a great experience! Started saying goodbye to 2020 with a champagne that was served in the lobby. Another great part was the location - it is on a walking distance from downtown attractions (and getting back from downtown bars :) ). Art Deco is in full life in this boutique hotel - as you walk in there is famous portrait of '60s supermodel, Jean Shrimpton. When it comes to amenities , there is a sister hotel next door with a pool, coffe shop and a restaurant serving brunch.

If you're staying downtown St Pete you can't find a better place to stay than the Avalon and its sister Hotel the Hollander they share the same amenities and property ..location is perfect you can walk pretty much anywhere in downtown St Pete the amenities with the Mediterranean style pool, Cabanas, outside pool bar, great restaurant, Bar & Taproom along with the coffee and bakery shop just has everything you need without the corporate feel...boutique style Hotel with individual style rooms all the staff being friendly and accommodating.. just spent the weekend at the Avalon celebrating my birthday was that the sister Hotel the Hollander last year only places I'll stay when I visit downtown St Pete!

This hotel is the BOMB! Old fashioned but yet clean and modern. The staff were great and it has a sister hotel right next door with a restaurant, bar and some entertainment! We will be back and best of all it's LGBTQ Friendly just the way we like it!

Great Art Deco hotel , older style so don’t expect the Hilton. Very comfortable, terrific staff, all facilities you need either in the hotel , or the sister hotel next door. Great location, can walk to all main parts of St. Peter’s, but also free “looper” , bus, free hotel shuttle, or cheap Uber’s. Value for money .

Perfect Weekend Getaway”
My husband and I took a weekend trip to St. Pete and the Avalon was the perfect spot to stay. The staff was incredible, the hotel has such fun vibes, and it is within walking distance of the pier and all the restaurants, museums, etc. We were able to use the pool at the sister hotel right next door, which has a bar and food, and spent a relaxing afternoon there. This hotel was perfect for our weekend in St. Pete!

I really enjoyed Avalon Hotel it's very different from the cookie cuter hotels and that why I like this place. A+ to all of the staff members that make the Hotel run they all work really hard to ensure we are taken care of, they diffidently go out of there way to put a smile on the faces of the customer. Loved the look and the vibe the hotel had just down right cool. First time to St Petersburg and loved it. I can't wait until next year.

This hotel is tastefully fun and funky, clean and comfortable, helpful and informative staff. Great location and easy to get to, walk anywhere downtown. The only con is that parking can be tough at night.

It was clean and quiet, that was the most important thing for me. The extra bonus was that it has very nice vibe, kinda reminded me of South Beach, Miami. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Quick qetaway ”
We had a wonderful time, but y’all just need to know, if you want a chill weekend away this is the perfect spot. From 5-7 you get free champagne or wine, and their sitting area is PERFECT for sipping outdoors. The restaurant next door is absolutely phenomenal and so cute. I would 100% stay again.
