Don't get the room with shared bathroom ”

Terrible home stay in Edinburgh not worth the money! Bathroom was at other end of guest house and shower didn't even work. Room was right by the front door as well so you could hear noise from people coming in and out. Wouldn't reccomend.

We'd like to say big big thank you for all staff. Enjoy days there with tasty, simply breakfast, comfortable beds, prepared guidebook what we can see. No problem was with owners to change room's or keeping car on closed car park there. Made me big surprise came with birthday cake and singing 'happy b-day'! Lovely atmosphere and people in kilts aswell :) not far to city. We gonna back there soon on summer time ;)

Excellent”

Very nice place to stay for that price. My room was the one with a private outside bathroom but this wasnt a problem. Breakfast very good altough not the "full scottish". Rooms a bit rustic but cleaned daily. All in all was a nice stay. Location very good as well.

We got the worst room.”

Our room was very next to the front door and to the breakfast area. It was very noise. We had a room without restroom and we knew that, but what we had to use was the other side of the building. Other hand, the staff was kind and the owner's Scottish music night was quit nice.

I did the booking at 4pm and was made to feel at home by 5pm. Will stay there again!”

Quaint and nostalgic ”

The staff was very friendly and helpful and there was music in the evenings. The breakfast was wonderful because it was more than just pastries. It was nice to order a breakfast of real eggs, bacon, toast, etc. I’ve slept in better beds but it was a quaint and nostalgic bed-and-breakfast.

From the airport, guest can take bus number 35 going to the guest house which is cheaper than taking a tram or airlink bus and connect with bus number 10.

great stay”

Our stay was great because they managed to sort out a problem caused by the inefficiency of agoda. We have stayed at the Averon before and will stay there again. However we will never use agoda again.
