We loved our stay at Ba Be Legend Villa! Luan was an amazing host and his wife cooked us great meals every day we were there!! The location is not very close to the lake, however If you’re comfortable on a motorbike, they can be rented and everything is easily within reach! We did a hike/boat/cave 1 day tour with Luan, and it was an awesome way to spend the day seeing all that Ba Be lake has to offer…and the lunch included was fantastic!! Best Host Hands Down”
Received a warm welcome from the hotel owner. It was very helpful to us that he spoke English very well. He helped us arrange a boat tour of the lake and it was awesome! The hotel location is only about a 5 minute ride to the boat launch. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is soft. The balcony is great for checking out the view and the hotel has an amazing cook that served us a tasty meal. Highly recommend!

Easily the best and newest hotel in all of Ba Be. Incredibly clean and well maintained rooms with a comfortable bed and a powerful A/C. Luan and his family took incredible care of us and cooked us three delicious meals, arranged a tour of the lake on short notice, and catered to our every need.

Special family owned villas”
Luan and his family went out of their way to make our 4 night stay exceptional. The rooms are clean and generous. Beds where good and the showers hot. Dinners were excellent and generous. We shared our toasts with the wine we brought and their’s that they made. After a motorbike accident that left us with minor injuries of scrapes and bruises Luan made a special 20 minute trip into town to get us needed first aid products. The area allows you to observe the farming life of the Vietnamese people and visit same amazing caves. Both for good and bad we happened to be there during one of the two annual rice harvests. Watching the process occur was interesting. The down side was the smoke in the valley as the farmers burned their slash. We would stay again without reservation.

Very clean with good air conditioning. The hotel is close to Ba Be Lake entrance, though far away from the majority of homestays in the area. Host is friendly and speaks good english to assist with bookings. Area lacks restaurants or places to eat, though you can eat at the hotel for additional cost. No fridge or kettle in room, cold drinks are available from reception for cost

A second home overlooking rice paddies.”
First, the location, at short distance from Ba Be lake by motorbike, is much better than right on the lake, where the home stays all stick to each other and where everything is linked to the tourist industry. Ba Be Legend villa is located in front of rice paddies, overlooking a pretty small valley, where you can see the farmers working in the paddies at different moments of the day. From your bedroom and your terrace, you could spend a lot of time admiring the landscape. Or, you just walk around the paddies following a small path starting at 50 meters from the hotel. Secondly, the place is very well maintained, and comfortable, without being luxurious but the hotel doesn’t compete in that category. The price is quite cheap for what you get. You can order food, homemade, according to what ingredients are available on the day. Then and that was my favorite part of the stay, the hotel is run by a very welcoming family. Just smile and talk to them. You’ll see.

Fantastic welcome and customer service!”
We arrived tired from a long journey from Dong Van but received a warm welcome from the host Luan and his family. They treated us to a great homemade dinner and Luan even joined us for a drink or 2. The room was great value for money, clean and in the morning, we had a superb view of a part of the valley. It seemed like they were happy to help in any way, shape or form.
