Most beautiful place just slightly tucked away from the city”
If you just want to relax in peace, away from the bustle of the city, this is the place. The grounds of this resort is gorgeous and the views are magnificent! Bas (the owner) is generous, hospitable and so helpful. The staff too always had a smile on. We had dinner there as well and it was delicious and authentic! We only stayed one night but truly wish we could have stayed longer. This place is truly a gem!

A perfect oasis of peace and romance”
To appreciate the Baan Suchadaa properly one needs to know a little about the owner, Bas, and his wife Khun Da. Bas is Dutch and after a long and very successful career in Europe he travelled extensively The Far east and eventually decided to move permanently to Thailand and build a brand new, authentic Thai Hotel. After a long process they settled on Lampang eight years ago and found a suitable site, on the edge of open rice fields, about three kilometres outside Lampang. They have created an absolutely beautiful, Thai/Lanna style hotel with three main buildings with fine, steep, red tiled roofs. These are beside a lovely ornamental lake and alongside the lake are two equally beautiful bungalows, each housing two fabulous, themed, luxury bedrooms. Each room is in its own style but no expense has been spared to make them superb. Beyond the main buildings the Infinity Pool rests just above the lovely views across the open fields. One can relax outside the main 'Clubhouse' building to share drinks, food or just relax in this oasis of peace. The food was superb and Bas and Da simply could not have made us more welcome.... nothing was too much trouble and after just a few days we felt like genuinely true friends of theirs. All the staff shared this warmth and this has to be one of the most special places that one could visit, to relax, recharge, have peace and enjoy a perfect romantic break. This is a very 'Adult' hotel and Bas does not really want children at his hotel, which, given the incredible style and attention to every detail to make this a very beautiful place, is quite understanding. This was one of the most enjoyable stays that we have ever had and The Baan Suchadaa is a reason in itself for visiting Lampang. The distance outside Lampang is no problem at all as 'Kalinins' are easily found and take about five minutes from the town to the Baan Suchadaa. Thank you Bas and Da for a wonderful stay.... we will be back!!

“Word Cannot Do Justice To This Amazing Place””
Built with love, care and respect for the local culture, Mr. Bas has created a paradise in Lampang. I currently live in Indonesia and have travelled all over SE Asia, staying in small boutique hotels and homestays, and this ranks as one of the top 2 (only Taman Sari on Bali has been as nice in my opinion). Also, I only do reviews on Trip Advisor if I am really impressed with a place, reserving my praise for places that only really deserve it..... and Baan Suchada truly deserves every bit of praise, and more. Every detail has been thought of as Mr. Bas built this hotel from the ground up over the course of 8 years. From the moment we were picked up by the taxi which the hotel uses at the train station, we were enchanted not only by Baan Suchada, but by Lampang as a whole. The clubhouse at the hotel, and the grounds in general, are artfully designed and decorated, only topped by the interior of the room itself, which felt like a staying in a masterpiece. The food was absolutely delicious, leading me to believe there is nothing Mr. Bas could not do, as he also designed the entire menu and its wonderful recipes. He has also stocked his grounds with birds, rabbits, peacocks, turkeys, not to mention the other wildlife that flies or wanders in or by the rice fields that surround the place, to make it truly feel magical. This is truly a place that succeeds in pleasing all of the senses, leading to a relaxed, memorable and enjoyable stay. The check in process was fun and easy, as Mr. Bas helped us organise our stay with him and made us feel so relaxed and at home. He organised drivers for us and recommended excellent day trips. I also loved relaxing in the pool that over looks the rice fields and nearby mountains. Truly magical. Even though the hotel is a little ways out of Lampang, having Phon as a driver that can be hired was more fun than being in town, as it was great to interact with her and her family. It is worth coming to Lampang just to stay at Baan Suchadaa. Beautifully presented and decorated rooms with attention to detail. Lovely pool and gardens in a peaceful area overlooking ricefields and the mountains beyond. Hosts Bas and Daa and their attentive staff are very friendly and helpful, you'll feel like special guests staying in their home. A big breakfast with excellent coffee is included. There is also the option to have your evening meal at the resort by letting them know late in the afternoon. Good food, big servings at a reasonable price from a limited menu. Good quality wines are available at a fair price for Thailand. Beware, coming from Phayao, the Google Maps GPS took us on a roundabout route to the resort on narrow, winding roads, however we eventually arrived.

Baan Suchadaa is a beautiful and serene property. The staff is attentive and helpful for every need. The General Manager, Vos, checked with us daily to make sure all our needs were being taken care of. He is a wonderful source of information for things to do and places to go in the city and surrounding area. The property is situated in the middle of rice fields, just outside Lampang city proper. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere--a hidden gem!

The title says it all - seriously felt like we were in paradise. We loved every minute of our stay. Room was amazing, service excellent, food brilliant. Even if Lampang isn't on your agenda, it is worth adding just for the wonderful experience of staying at Baan Suchadaa. We had a car also which is very handy as this resort is a little way out of town.

Paradise, tranquility and comfort”
I booked Baan Suchadaa due to all the good reviews and was so pleased. A really warm welcome from English speaking staff on arrival. The property and grounds were stunning. The room was huge and very comfortable with nice bathroom. big bed and sofa seating. TV and satellite, fridge, Air Con. Nice view over the pond. The clubhouse and infinity pool are simply amazing with views over rice fields and farmlands all the way to the hills in the distance. In Thailand it is hard to escape noise but at Baan Suchadaa the tranquility is bliss! Staff were ever so sweet and attentive. This is NOT a hotel, this is a luxury private residence with guest rooms and I was made to feel like family. At the same time privacy was respected and the fellow guests were all nice too. Breakfast on the terrace by the pool couldn't have been better. Great food, fruit, eggs, bread and toast with superb and unlimted free expresso coffee drinks. The staff will make cocktails too from the well stocked bar.

We stayed at Baan Suchadaa for one night. Staff very polite and always willing to help. Love the quietness and beautiful surroundings of the hotel. The room is very well designed and equipped. Overall incredibly comfortable place to stay in a quiet relaxing location with supreme privacy. We will definitely stay here if we visit Lampang again.

Baan Suchadaa is set in the peaceful surrounding of rural Thailand near Lampang. The modern-built Baan are in the traditional Thai-style and are set around a beautiful pond with fish, rabbits and birdsong. There is a fantastic, clean and refined lobby and bar. Breakfast is served overlooking the mirror pool and the rice paddies fields beyond. Highly recommended for a relaxing time away.

Wife accompanied me on a business trip to Lampang, so decided to stay somewhere nice. Baan Suchada is situated just outside Lampang, but only 20 mins to the city centre. The location is beautiful overlooking a large expanse of rice fields and well maintained private gardens. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Lampang and wanting to stay in a nice quiet hotel.

Beautiful, Relaxing Experience in Lampang ”
My group of 4 had a fantastic time at Baan Suchadaa. The property is at its highest upkeep, with beautiful scenery and style. The staff was absolutely delightful, including Bas himself. We felt welcomed during our entire stay, enjoying the pool and clubhouse and the food. We booked the triple room and small double room, which fit our needs well. The small room is exactly as advertised - small room for small price. No complaints! I would recommend this resort for a beautiful, relaxing, tranquil getaway from the bustle of Thailand.

A feeling of Shangri-La in a unique boutique hotel”
We really had no idea that we would be staying at this hidden treasure in the humble city of Lampang when we booked the two rooms for our family. We had only found 1 or 2 star properties nearby and none had a pool so we booked our one night stay here via Agoda. As we drove near the property we could see the red roofs of the Lanna architecture behind a wall and gate. Upon entering we found our self in a paradise that Bas had created originally for friends but is now beginning to share with selected guests. After check-in we went to our rooms which were a little spartan but I learned later than the move lavishly suites were available at a higher cost. Each of the suites available has its own unique style. Perhaps we will stay there on our next visit. The owner Bas, a true gentleman and adventurer, is originally from Amsterdam and he seemed to delight in answering my questions about his life and also the challenges of spending 8 years in the building of this bespoke property. Finally, the full service breakfast on the patio near the pool was of far more quality and quantity than we expected and the 15 month boy who was with us enjoyed it as much as we did. You would do well to stay at this one-in-a-lifetime resort that Baz has created for all of us to enjoy along with him.
