Renovated Bacolod Hotel”

accessible and reasonable room rates

This a renovated hotel located at Bacolod's central business district. The facilities are old but ok and there is free wi-fi available in the room. It is accessible by transportation and near the old Gaisano Mall. It is also ten-minute ride to SM Bacolod. At night there are a lot of street vendors selling cheap roasted chicken, pork or fish (bangus or milkfish. But you have to be careful and very vigilant as some juvenile children might snatch some of your valuables like mobile phones, handbag, jewelries, etc. The street is not well-lighted. The front desk staff are friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The bell boys and housekeeping staff, however, are not friendly and accommodating. City folks, however, have unfavorable perception about the hotel as the place was previously involved in crime incidents. Maybe the city government can make an urban renewal program in the area so that business can thrive.

Good location but small rooms.”

near SM Bacolod and other convenience stores and fastfood chains,

we had a 3 day, 2 night stay in bacolod king's hotel. it was good enough since you only pay less than a thousand per night, but the bed was not big enough and they had only 2 pillow. comfort room had a water heater but no soap and other toiletries. you have to bring your own. there was no pail and dipper too.airconditioning was fine.

Don't bother, worst stay for your money”

none

I've been travelling throughout Cebu, Negros, and Palawon. I've stayed at many budget hotels. Most are actually pretty nice for the price. This is not. No windows or ventilation in th room. I got sick from my one-night stay. You can do better than this, even for the cheap price. If you do decide that you want to stay here (due to some lapse of judgement ) book at the hotel and you'll save a bit of cash. If I was in the states, this would be almost acceptable for though again, no window or ventilation in the Philippines will likely make you sick) but considering I've paid similar prices elsewhere and gotten considerably better rooms, service, and comfort, I was not happy with my stay here.

Its in the heart of the city, easy access to shopping malls, landmarks and transportation, very accomodating

They accommodate us with smiles and respond quickly to our demands and complains. Small rooms but clean. The water in the shower is running slow but I think its alright.

Good location, inefficient staff”

Location is good but that’s about it.

rooms are spacious. toilets have no seats. it’s more of a hostel then a hotel. there's wi-fi in the room when it works (it didn’t when we were there). the front desk staff are sort of friendly but not really helpful or efficient.

OK stay”

location (near public plaza), cheap, clean

I stayed here with my mother during the Masskara. The location was okay. Far enough from the main celebration so you can sleep at night and near enough that you can just walk going to the Public Plaza. Don't expect the staff to know much about the celebrations though. We asked where the parade ended and they told us that it was in Paglaum Stadium which is true if we asked around 230 pm but it was 6pm already and the parade/street dance competition ended already (which we found out after walking 3-4 blocks going there). Anyway, that's just a minor inconvenience and we didn't really expected much for its prize.

As we enter the reception area, we didn't any hi or hello or good afternoon from the hotel's receptionist. She gave us a bad face and just gave the key so we have to went up by our own. I think she has a personal problem. Otherwise, the housekeeping and room service staff were nice and will greet you very well. We can say that our stay there was nice except the reception staff. I phoned her because of our tv operation but she said i have to call housekeeping instead of her informing the housekeeping staff to do so. Ohhhh she made my day so bad.
