The place was great.”
A tranquil place, the hotel itself and Sicogon Island were breath-taking. But the room was not properly clean, it has small debris and sands on the floor tho the bed sheets and linens were clean and smells good. The manager was very hospitable, everyone is accomodating and friendly especially the guy bartender who let me stay inside the bar station when it rained. Tho, the staff (woman) who processed my requests was not that approachable and I think she needs to improve her communication skills and facial expression when she's talking to a guests, just smile more often. But over all, I really enjoyed my stay at Balay Kogon.

Relaxing Place to unwind”
Beautiful location , very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay at Balay Kogon. The staff who are mostly locals are wonderful. Although the Resort needs improvement when it comes to their restaurant menu. I need to see more of the traditional Filipino food , especially vegetable choices. Considering that there is no other restaurant in the island we have no choice but eat here. Do not order the chicken curry , not very good or the danggit fish for breakfast, you will be very disappointed. The scallops was also a big let down and expensive for just 15 pieces . At Gigantes Island we paid 200 Pesos for the whole large pot of scallops . Outside the resort I bought a kilo of cooked “kasag “ ( local Crab) for 300 . pesos. I asked the Resort kitchen to warm it up for dinner. I was charged 500 Pesos . If you don’t call that a rip off , i don’t know what it is. We eat all our meals at the hotel and spent lots of money on cocktails ....

Relaxing Island”
Although the travel to the Resort can be an ordeal, it was worth it!. Very relaxing, not crowded. the beach was very nice, they let you rent equipments such as kayaks, snorkeling gears, SUP etc, at a very reasonable price, the Staff was very Professional and Very accomodating! The food was also good, about 250-350 per meal which was not bad at all. You can also do Island hopping to Gigantes! If you are a group of 4-5, it would be very affordable! but if you are a couple, or solo, you will have to spend more, but it will still be worth it.

Laid back vibes”
We stayed at the beach front cottage , a little pricey but it is worth it. We had our brekky served at the beach with the sunrise as our backdrop. If you want relaxation and away from it all , this is your best bet. The food was good. The staff was friendly and the cottage was clean. Make sure you take the plane to the island because the travel from Roxas and Iloilo was too long.

Very nice but only for a couple of days”
The hotel and the rooms are situated in a beautiful beach but that's almost all you can do in this island. The low tide make it almost impossible to take a swim after 3-4pm. Take into consideration the expensive boat trip you need to pay to reach the island. The restaurant is very very limited and has nothing special.

Peaceful and quiet ”
Very quiet and beautiful location. The beach is clean and nice and the rooms are good sized, hot cold water very clean, air con. Other than that not a lot of facilities and the restaurant has very few choices of food and drinks. Overall experience was good, I enjoyed a lot and the staff was very accommodating and helpful with everything. Will come back for sure.

Quiet paradise”
Spent a quiet Christmas eating scallops and swimming in the clear waters. Simple rooms on the beach. Quiet and casual with nature all around. Not much to see snorkeling in the shallows however. Did see an octopus stranded in the tidepools and threw some water on him - he quickly disappeared back under his rock. Not easy getting in and out of the transport to and from - but I'm so glad I went!

View and beach is nice, prices of food is kindly pricey. They should have promo packages including food and other water activities.

One of Sicogon's Hidden Gems”
A private place, perfect for couples who want an intimate and quiet getaway. Though the sand along the resort is not that fine, everything else will make up for it. We found the tour packages very pricey, though. But all in all, we had a good first experience here.

Excellent new resort”
I love the place. Not touristy unlike the crowded Cebu, Bohol and Boracay. Food is great. Staffs are so friendly and accommodating. Beach front is naturally clean and beautiful. Will definitely come back

Nice private place, staff needs more training”
It is so difficult to get the attention of the staff. It is far from the standard of El Nido resorts, of which we are frequent visitors. Nice location, nice rooms, some staffs need more training on hospitality. For example, I called a staff, he just passed by, even if i shout, he didn't look back. Probably he was busy to do a request of another guest,( just my guess ), but he or they could just acknowledge and say we will get back to you. Also, a nice greeting " good morning" would be nice, that same staff didn't even greet us.

We love the place. It is quiet, clean, & the staff are courteous. Kim was a big help..”
We were treated as special guests. The views are strategic. The room is clean and the facilities, though not complete, met our needs.
