Bali hai is quite old but seems to be very relaxing. This is already my third time here, and that alone is a proof that I really like the resort.

I have been to Bali Hai for more than 5 times already, I love the resort because of its very relaxing view and cheap price. I just got disappointed during my last visit because the reception staff just keeps on ignoring all my request. I requested for a reschedule due to a valid reason but I havent heard any response from them inspite of my follow up. I was forced to push thru with the vacation bacause I havent heard anything from them, they just said that they will forfeit the payment. When we got there, it took several follow ups for them to provide our request, we even had to go to the reception to remind them about our request (towel, extra bed, cable signal, etc). The day shift staff is very disappointing, and I WILL NO LONGER RECOMMEND AND COME BACK to Bali Hai because of her poor service. She just keeps on ignoring the request of the guests and you can’t even feel that she is doing her best effort to address the concern of the guests.

wonderful peaceful fresh air SAFE...thnk you Mike for the transfer to my next hotel...everyone at the resort did their best to make sure i had a grat vacation there..my thanks to all of youQ for the owner..you are choosing great employees! the alentines Dinner was unique and the Mongolian feast was delicious!!! your pool was clean and well maintained and safe for little kids..... in all a great stay for the amount of budget involved and this hotel/resort is highly recommended!!!

My wife and I stayed here for five nights. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was always clean and fresh.The food was a bit expensive compared to neighbouring Resorts but it was cooked to our liking. We felt the restaurant staff needed more training and should be more attentive to diners needs, such as clearing tables quickly and not gazing in to space or having long conversations amongst themselves. Yes the Resort has been around for a long time but the use of native materials gives it a quaint and authentic look. On the whole a great stay and good value for the money we paid.

The resort was easy to locate. Partas bus from Manila dropped me off right outside.Securty staff quickly organised trike when i left the resort and recorded trike registration details. Meals where good. As an Australian I had not had lamb chops for months, so it was great to get a feed of lamb chops at affordable price.

My friends and I booked this hotel to be able to attend the annual Soul Surf Weekend last Oct. Since all resorts were fully booked in San Juan where the surfing happens, I booked Bali Hai since it was just a 10km away. We paid for a room good for 4. What is misleading is that there is only 1 Double bed inside the room and 2 sofa beds (with no linens included) in the living room area. Since it was fair that everyone gets the cold air from the AC, we ended up moving furniture and moved the 2 beds inside the very small airconditioned room! It was like playing tetris. They also have cabinets for your use but beware...they smell like mothballs. Their bathroom is also disgusting with tiles coming off and water pressure of the shower is just AWFUL. I ended up taking a shower sticking my face so close to the bathroom wall! The room also had a HUGE cockroach in it and the TV wasn't working. We asked it to be fixed and we were surprised when a security guard knocked at our door with a different TV unit. It still wasn't working properly and we just ended up playing with the controls and being patient just to watch the news. Also, if you are traveling as a group of girls, prepare to be stared at by some of the Caucasian guests there. I think the resort arranges meet ups with local women. Really shady if you ask me. On a positive note, the beach front is really nice and serene. Staff is also very professional and the owner is really accommodating in answering my emails. They also even offered us free transport to the town nearby! There is also a pool here and the garden is nice. The gardener was also very hardworking and friendly. Kudos to him! The verdict: Go here for the beachfront and if you want to relax. But only do that if you're willing to rough it up. I mean they try, but the rooms need to be renovated. Rates are pricier than the others. I suggest you go book somewhere else where your money is better valued.

Our stay was totally relaxing and the resort is very nice. I love the view and the facilities, the staff are very accommodating. I havent tried the food but i heard that it is one of the best in La Union. I will definitely come back.

This is not a five star resort. It's a local place, on the beach, that takes good care of it's visitors. We were well treated and had a very nice experience.

We have stayed here several times. This is an older hotel resort that is past its prime, but we like it..... it is an old style resort and not all concrete and glass. Nice staff. The restaurant has a large menu and is good

Value for money”
The price is worth it, ambience is good, convenient location... only problem is the room is not that clean, housekeepers should keep it clean and must do something about the mosquito. But the concept of the resort is good like old kind of home... and i guess it's time to change the beddings.

Great place to relax and put your feet up. ”
Friendly, efficient staff, nice restaurant and bar area, nice clean swimming pool. Rooms are in need of a facelift, but still clean and comfortable. The hotel is not expensive, very good value for money. Will stay there again.

Vacation ”
The place is not worth it.. Food are expensive, CR and rooms are not too clean... Place is boring to be honest... Waves are bad cant swim either so u will just stay at your room.. Nothing is amazing. My husband and I supposed to stay for two night and booked via agoda but since the area is not really amazing and boring. We have to checkout on the 1st night we feel were in prison to be honest.. Pool is okay.. Lesson learn read review plus value ur vacay.. Money can earn but memories hard to make. Suggest to book like worth 3k as forsurely hotel will be very good. We go to bolinao instead thats unplanned Puerto del Sol and placceee so amazing. I wish i just booked there than Bali Hai😔😔😔. This is just recent travel Nov2-4. On nov3 were out.

Nice sunsets”
Different than when stayed 3 years ago and before. Liked resort much better when staying here before. New management. All new staff and rather inexperienced with few smiles. No longer serve Guinness stout beer. I was looking forward to having one so far from home. Internet service was inconsistent. We will probably stay elsewhere on next trip to Philippines.

the room did not have 2 double beds are was shown on the site, it had a small a/c unit in the bedroom only! the unit was hot, old and had the odor of mold and mildew. I have been staying here for 16 years, but the condition of the rooms have gone down hill. no more for me and my family at Bali Hai

Liked resort better when staying here in the past. No longer have Guinness Stout on the menu. Disappointed with that. New management and staff appeared rather inexperienced. Internet connection was inconsistent. Nice sunsets as a plus and close to Baguio as another plus. Probably will stay elsewhere on next Philippines trip.
