Fantastic stay!”
I have just left the Bamboo Garden Homestay. It was a delightful stay, the whole family are welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean & comfortable, fully stocked with everything we needed. They have bicycles and motorbikes to rent at competitive prices, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the pretty centre of hoi an, (my favourite place in Vietnam I have visited) with lots of restaurants and shops. They gave us excellent information on the local area.i highly recommend!

What a GEM, Family -run haven in a garden”
This truly is a homestay, with family members doing all the jobs. So friendly that we were invited to dinner & had a wonderful time. The location away from the bustle of Hoi An is refreshing & the free bicycles provided meant we could get round quickly & easily to Hoi An in one direction & along the river & to the beach in the other. Our room comprised the bedroom & bathroom & 2 balconies opening from the room. Opposite our door was another balcony that had views of the river & was virtually ours with the rest of the top floor.

Warm and welcoming stay”
Our stay was very enjoyable at the Bamboo Garden Homestay. The entire family was very helpful and made our stay a memorable experience. They invited us to a pre New Year's family meal and party. The food was great, but the best part was meeting and trying to communicate with their extended family. Everyone was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. We originally booked a standard double room, but found it a bit tight, so we were able to move to the family room, which was very spacious. The free bikes were a plus, as they made getting around town a lot easier. No pressure to use their family tailor business, nor to book tours through them.

Good value for money”
When we arrived at My House Homestay it was around 10 am, so well before the check-in time. Fortunately, we had no problems with early check-in and we didn't have to pay extra. The free bicycles are good and were available at all times (however I think we were the only guests). The rooms were clean and comfortable; the triple delux room maybe a bit small for 'deluxe', but it has two balconies (one with a lovely swing) and quite a large bathroom with hot water. The only thing that I would change is breakfast - we got 'western style' breakfast - not toasted toasts, two eggs fried hard and being pretty dry, a few slices of tomato and cucamber, no butter/jam/honey/etc. I'd rather eat a vietnamese style breakfast that the family had. Nevertheless, when one of asked for more eggs, we weren't charged for it additionally. In general, good place to stay, not in the centre of Hoi An, but close - around 5 minutes to the Hoi An market and the Ancient Town.

Perfect homestay ”
The room had twi balconies, one of them very large with a good view northwards. The bed was comfortable and the room also. Breakfast was ordered the day before and was well made. The family running the Bamboo Garden were hospitable, friendly and helpful. It was a great stay.

Great room, nice service, ok location, some disapointments”
The greats : Well equipped room, nice family vibe, eagerness to help us with bookings The little less good : We booked a room with a balcony, paid extra for it and there was no balcony. They were kind to lend us bikes but they were in poor shape and they broke down 5 km from town. The family, apart from the hotel, tailors clothes. They were a little pushy to sell us something, the pressure to buy clothes in the city, as you will find out, is intense. No break from that in the hotel. Finally, the hotel is a little far from the city center, 15 minutes by foot or 5 by bike. Overall, great place to stay in Hoi An but we were a little disapointed.

A beautiful place with such a lovely family ”
This is the second time I have stayed and the family are amazing they are also tailors so I’ve had many things made by them over night. They can’t do enough for you the mother and father son and daughter and grandson are just amazing I will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone staying I Hoi An it’s central you can book a pick from the airport and trips to anywhere very cheaply

Lovely family homestay”
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this homestay. The family that runs it is very kind and easy to communicate with. The breakfast is plentiful and the free bikes are a big plus. Room was clean and spacious with fresh smelling sheets, TV, and hot water. Made use of the in house tailoring to have a shirt made - bit pricier than you may pay in the market but patient alterations and a nice shirt in the end.

We felt like a member of the family. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. The family has an own tailor shop, which offers good quality, support and price. We are absolutely satisfied about the clothes we ordered. The rooms are nice and very clean. The breakfast was good and we also got fresh fruits every day. The center ist quite near. You can rent bicycle to reach the center in five minutes.

Would highly recommend. The family was helpful and very welcoming. We stayed in the downstairs room and it was large, comfortable and very clean. The house is an easy, scenic 15 minutes walk to the Old Town. The house is very close to the river. We took a private car to and from the train station, which costs 350,000 dong and was about 45 minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

For $20 CAD we had room with 2 double beds, a large bathroom, and a living room at the entrance for tea and a vanity. Very spacious and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Only minor setback is that it is about 20 min from the city center and walking in the dark at night is scary with the bugs and rats running around on the streets (nature of the town in the evening). Highly recommend.

The family is very friendly and helpful. They arranged for our shuttle from the train station in Da Nang, provided free bicycles and arranged our day trip to My Son. We had a wonderful room with 2 balconies and were served a wonderful breakfast. The home stay is only 1.5 Kim's east of the centre of the old city and you can walk along the river most of the way. A great stay!

Seemed great, until we were booted out.”
We had a good first impression of this place, despite it being a bit out of the way (~4-5km from Old Town). The family seems very welcoming and cooks pretty great breakfast. However, we learned upon arrival that they would only honor the first night, and would transport us to a "nearby" hotel for the second. Staff assured us that the hotel was very close by and had good wifi, so we were surprised to be taken to an empty place in the middle of nowhere (~6-7 km from Old Town) with no internet to speak of (though the owner was SO kind! we don't fault the second place at all). Moreover, staff at My House seemed entirely uninterested in helping us arrange any tour to My Son that wasn't their bus/boat package (6 hours of transit with only 45 minutes at the site itself! It's only 1-1.5hr away!). They even politely insisted that "Motorbikes aren't safe!" when we asked about taking them... yet they didn't seem to have a problem squeezing us on one when they kicked us out. Overall it left a bad taste in my mouth, and for this reason, I can't recommend it.

Room is well maintain and warm welcome from the receptionist. They cook nice food for breakfast. Ambient environment and clean room. 1km distance from the ancient town. Better to rent a bicycle
