The reviews are right”
I read reviews when I first chanced upon this homestay and I have to prove if these reviews were legit and appropriate. Indeed, they were. With a nice set of staff to help you throughout your stay (they even arranged our tour), a clean and restful room, a modest shower, proximity to the terminal and town center, and most of all the view while dining indoor or outdoor. And you still have a lot of money left to spend on some other things. This is really a great homestay.

Don't be fooled by the simplicity.”
Very clean hotel. Warm and with a view you can't buy. Hosts friendly and polite. Quiet and slept like I had been knocked out due to mountain air. Would not hesitate to recommend.

A very nice place to stay Wish I had stayed longer”
I can only tell you what I like about this place. The View! This is the best thing, but the staff comes in a very close second. Very nice people and a nice place. The nicest thing is you never have to go any place else once you arrive here, they provide meals, guides and advice on how to accomplish your travel goals. I had not planned on going to Sagada, but really wanted to and found out while staying there a small van can take you there from Bunaea. The views and the ride on that van are worth the ticket price alone. You will need half a day to get to Sagada and then to ride the bus back to Manilla. The bus leaves Sagada in the morning to 3 A at night from Sagada, so it is not for the easy chair type traveler. I would recommend an extra day in Banuea post Rice Field Tour (more climbing than tunnel, but not as slippery a path as the tunnels) to recover before pushing on to Sagada and more hiking and tunnels (very steep climbs in and out of the tunnels).

Good place to go on trek !”
Great and peacefull place to go on trek ! Nice view. The room is confortable, you can have food in the living room, shared bathroom, hot water (if no electricy cuts). They can advise you a guide and I would recommend to take Beatrice guide.

Perfect to relax before or after the trek ”
Bea is a really nice host, she even let us check in earlier so we could rest after the night bus. They picked us up from the bus stop. The shared bathroom is not a problem at all because everything is super clean. Beautiful view! I highly recommend.

A great homestay!”
We spent 5 days here whilst on our travels around the Philippines, when we arrived at 6am Beatrice was awake and waiting for us, with coffee to help us wake up after our journey! Her and her staff were so helpful and looked after us like family, the room was nice and the living area was beautiful! The shower was okay, maybe a bit cold but better than most accommodation we have had in The Philippines. Overall, we would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay again!

Cozy homestay with views to the rice terraces”
Amazing host family! They woke up early (5-6am) to welcome me in for early check-in. You will need this if you take the overnight bus from Manila. The rooms and the house are warm and nicely decorated, makes me feel very cozy and welcome. Host family is very friendly and they would take care of you, can order yummy food from their kitchen (3 meals a day) with reasonable prices. Good location, on the way to the viewpoint, with fantastic views over the rice terraces. Only one drawback is that there was no WiFi there, I had to rely mostly on phone data for Internet.

Nice, small hotel with a beautiful view”
Small hotel with nice clean rooms. The staff is very helpful and serve a small choice of tasteful dishes. Not far away from the tourist office where busses stop. Nice small terrace with a beautiful view on rice terrace. Here you really feel at home.

Amazed and charmed”
Staying overnight on feb 6-7, 2016 at banaue homestay was the excellent choice. Ms. Beatrize, the manager, was very warm, friendly and gracious- we could't ask for a better hostess. The staffs, rebecca and ruby were also very friendly. The rooms we rented (1 with cr and a regular room) was very clean and the beddings were so comfortable that we had a restful sleep after our very tedious but amazing batad trek. Plus the location is a good distance from the town proper so the place had a relaxed and private atmosphere. Added bonus is that banaue homestay has an amazing view of the rice terraces. The breakfast menu was very filling and delicious, especially the longganisa. i was both amazed by the place and charmed by our accomation. We will definitely return to banaue and stay at banaue homestay!:-) The only downside with our trip was that we were not able to view the rice terraces at banaue town because of the fog covering the mountains. Well, a reason to return again to this amazing place:-)

Amazing views”
I traveled with my bf and my 2 siblings in the middle of June 2016. We rented (2) rooms with a double bed. Our room was facing the rice terraces (amazing view especially during sunrise) but my siblings room was facing the road. The rooms were clean but a bit small; however, there was enough space to move around. The jalousie windows didn't have a screen to prevent insects from flying inside. Nonetheless, we opened the windows and the cool night air in Banaue was refreshing. There's a creek/river at the bottom and it can be loud at night (if you're not used to it). They provided towels and tissue paper to use. There were two communal bathrooms. One toilet needed to be flushed with water from the bucket but the other was working well. WiFi worked well but we had to ask for the password. The staff were very accommodating and very sweet. Our check out time was super early at 5:20 AM to catch the Coda bus line at 5:30 AM, but the staff were up earlier than us. They waited with us until the bus arrived, and even prepared coffee and tea while we waited. It is located a few minutes from the town center. It is along the highway and buses and local public transportation pass by regularly. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner but it's not complimentary. Overall, I'd recommend Banaue Homestay and would stay there again!
