Location is great, but service is very negligent”
On my arrival day the front desk service was not great at all. There was no one to get the luggage as courtesy or even say hello. On top I was not guided properly to look my room. I went multiple times up/down, different buildings to look for my room. Room service lady was not putting towels in the room and after asking she mentioned that laundry is not yet done, which was ridiculous. The food was out of stock on 31st Dec evening even reserving the time in advance. Was basically empty stomach on that night, including many other tourists as well. On beach area, the chairs, cabana are being booked in advance not sure even being there by 6 am/7 am. These tourists are coming to their chairs around midday. The servers are getting big monetary tips from those tourist, though it has been instructed that it can not be done. I was on their mercy to get a nice place to put a chair.

The plus is the holiday atmosphere. Great location, beach, amazing staff, and plenty of food choice. We would come back. A huge minus is the wifi. No wifi in the rooms, and only 1hr a day free in the lobby after every 24hrs. Wifi nowadays is in many hotels a standard service, so to me this was a lack of service in the Barcelo.

Me encantó el servicio de comidas del all inclusive. Vale la pena. Las habitaciones súper! El internet en área del lobby bien. Único problema las áreas de la playa de sombra. Los huéspedes las reservan desde las 3:00 am . Qué vacaciones son estas? 🙄 Fue mi única queja, además de que hay muchas algas en el Área de la playa del hotel. El general, me gustó mucho. Su localización es espectacular. Muchos malls cerca.
