The whole hotel was exceptional. The room was clean and spacious for a couple. The bed was really comfy. The most important thing was the whole place was mosquito free. The staffs were very friendly and attentive to our needs. They have really nice facilities. The food was very delicious. Plus the hotel was very accessible. I’ll definitely going to recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The best hotel indeed for a very cheap price compared to other hotels I stayed in.

BASIC, EVEN FOR LOCAL STANDARD”
Booked here as some comments on GoHotels Tacloban recommend Basic Rooms Hotel as a better choice. On arrival by car no indication where to find the front desk (in the restaurant), porter is not sure where our room is. The room has no power outlets anywhere in convenient locations, you need to crawl under the desk to plug in cp charger. The provided water kettle is not plugged in and no cups or mugs available for making tea or coffee, not to mention complementary tea or coffee bags. Breakfast is served from 6 to 10 am, at shortly after 8 am all food (Filipino style only) on the buffet was cold already. Not worth the 190 pesos the hotel charges for a All you can eat Breakfast. This place is very basic even for local standard and I would not recommend for Westerners. Seeing condom friendly lubricant gel being available at the front desk gives reason to assume they rent rooms by the hour. Staff at reception and cashier's desk are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Quiet location, accessible to public transportation. Courteous and helpful staff. No wifi in rooms. Had to change rooms because of mosquito infestation. Breakfast buffet spread could be improved. Delicious and reasonably priced food in their restaurant.

Booked a family room but upon arrival we are advised that there is no available family room instead they offer executive room but without discount though I booked a family room they just add mattress. I check the room and it was ok but when we stayed so many mosquitoes and water dripping from aircon inside the room. Location is good, overall stay was okay as per their name basic room and we enjoyed the pool.

worst hotel i have ever stayed in”
everything about the hotel was bad. i think its a motel.. the staffs always frowning.. we only had 1 pillow and i ask if we could have extra because there was 3 of us but they said they cannot give me extra pillow because i only paid for 2 people.. i showed them that i booked for 2 people and 1 child.. then they argued first before giving me 1 pillow.. do not stay in this hotel.. the garden view room doesnt have a garden.. only vacant lot.. there are constructions going on.. its the worst hotel.. dont waste your money in this one... the service and the accomodation that you will get will be as cheap as the price that you will pay.. better add a little extra money and stay on a much better hotel that this one...

Convenient location as it is accessible to public transportation, about 15 mins by car from the airport. Helpful staff. Rooms are really basic- only towels, soap, tissue paper are provided. No refrigerator, electric kettle, shampoo. Strong water pressure, hot shower available, clean swimming pool. No wifi in rooms, no mobile network signal in some rooms. Rooms need to be updated, maintained and cleaned properly, some lightbulbs in the room need to be replaced. Good buffet breakfast for its price but non-Filipino guests may find it lacking in variety. No credit card payment facility. Would stay here again if on a tight budget and if I would just need a place for sleeping after tours of Tacloban and other areas in Leyte

It is a budget hotel but the service is superb. Staff are friendly and prompt. Good room service, convenient as the hotel is far from restaurants. Location is very accessible, with transportation to everywhere in Tacloban passing by it, including the ride to the airport. Rooms are clean and fresh.

Nice hotel/motel. We were allowed to check-in early and check-in was fast. Room was very small. CR was tin). Price in lobby was P1,100, so why use Agoda if there is no discount?? No free breakfast, but for P190 the buffet breakfast looked great. NO WI-FI in rooms!! Wi-fi in lobby only. While I was in the lobby in the evening, couples were coming in and out of the 6 or 8 rooms behind the lobby. I guess those were short time rooms? Not too pleasant for a family hotel. Staff pleasant but not friendly. (just business) Location on main road into Tacloban, across the street from the convention center. A disco is being built in front of the hotel, and who knows how much noise that will create later on.

Very basic room BUT it was clean and has AirCon and a Flat screen TV. The little restaurant in the reception area is nice and the staff were ALL very friendly. Close to shopping and businesses and Robinsons Mall.

Firstly - please note this hotel accepts cash only payment, so if u select "pay at hotel", please remind staff if you have reserved with card payment on this website, so they do not charge again. The rooms were really nice, internet available for free (better signal closer to the restaruant). Friendly staff, good service breakfast (all u can eat) at reasonable price.

The rooms and beds were nice but the floor was a little sticky. The bathroom was ok except for the molds on the ceiling. We stayed here during the Ormoc earthquake (July 2017) so there was no electricity except for the hotels. They had the generator on but would sometimes breakdown in the middle of the night so it gets hot but this is understandable. The internet worked perfectly even under these bad conditions. The mountain view from the back window was nice. No ocean view though. The on-going improvement construction made the whole place dusty but I am sure it will be better once it's done. The bellboys were nice and would attend to your requests immediately. I couldn't say the same for the front desk. I called 3 times to request for some plates and it never arrived. I had to ask the bellboy passing by to get what I needed.

Rooms are spacious, clean and the hotel is budget friendly specially when you are travelling in groups. Stayed for 3D/2N. Only a jeep away from downtown and from Airport and walking distance to Foodpark.
