Perfect Ambiance; Very Nice People”
They provide shuttle service for their visitors daily who to avoid hassle transportation. Tour guide from batad is knowledgeable. All inns in Batad are having the same sizes of rooms, basic but Batad Top View rooms are very comfy. Cute kids and hospitable family will welcome you.

Best seats in the house - could use some facelift, though”
The inn has a breath-taking view of the Batad Rice Terraces. It is also nearest the pickup/dropoff point so getting in and out is not an issue at all. This is also the reason why many travellers pass by the inn first to either get ready for the trek or just sit there and enjoy the view. I personally enjoyed the food, especially the Terrace View Soup, Sardines Omelette, and one dish that is in their secret menu (yes, they do have a secret menu, though I'm not sure how deep that menu is). Points to improve on - I think the fa ilities the inn could use a facelift right now. The rooms could use some improvement. Also, almost everything comes with a price, though it's kind of understandable given the cheap rate of the room itself. All in all, I had a nice stay in Topview. I'll definitely choose this place again should I return to Batad in the future. Thank you Tita Grace for the hospitality! More power to you and the inn!:)

The view really is amazing”
Stayed there for two nights, 4 adults and a toddler. Batad still cannot be reached by car, so be prepared to carry your stuff to your accommodation from the end of the road and pack accordingly (I.e. backpacks not trolleys). Locals make a business out of the situation by offering themselves as porters or guardian for your parked car if any. Hard to tell if the latter is necessary or not - I ended up paying to make the wife sleep better. The place itself is very basic (as in water bucket powered 'shower' and toilet flush) but clean, and the view really makes up for everything. Food / drinks is quite expensive when compared to similar food outside batad but I assume that's due to the remote location. We didn't eat anywhere else in Batad so I cannot compare to places nearby. All in all a very nice experience!

LOCATION & SCENERY”
The owner and staff are very welcoming and very helpful with planning your hiking. Meals were good and the porridge for breakfast was a real treat. The views from the veranda were wonderful and also from the window in my bedroom. The views of valley are mesmerizing. There is a homey feel to this Homestay with the pet dog and the hen and her chicks mingling with the guests. Good value.

Best place to stay for the Rice Terraces”
Grace is the nicest host you will ever encounter and her accommodations offer the best view and the best access to the Batad Rice terraces. I truly cannot say enough good things about a stay here. Her brother (Scott) is a wonderful guide into the terraces and Grace is also a fabulous cook! We were sorry to leave.

Enjoyed my stay, not for everyone ”
Highest viewpoint from a guesthouse in Batad, good value for money. The atmosphere was poor while I was there and I was the only other traveller staying at that time, but I'm sure during more busy times it is better. They offered food and massage but the massage was not available. Very basic home stay but it is to be expected in Batad. Overall would recommend for the experience but do not expect anything special from this homestay.

Only Location Was Acceptable”
People can find better hostel in Batad. They can find hostel without reservation in Batad so don't reserve this hostel if you are afraid of no room for staying. You had better reserve this hostel only in peak season. It is not so easy to find hostel in peak season. People in Batad tole me about it. I forgot to ask the staff for blanket because there was no blanket despite cold room. I was too shy to ask it at midnight so I slept with rein court. It seemed like they did not know that I was supposed to stay there due to no information from agoda. Take note, there is no signal on your cell phone so that they cannot contact with agoda. Anyway. they were good people. I like only their personality and location with good view.

Kind staff, rooms are very simple but clean, cold shower and toilet are located outside main building, great view on terraces. Even the price is not low I recommend to stay there.

Extraordinary nice host, stunning view”
Getting there is exhausting. One hour of walking downhill with luggage. But it's absolutely worth it. Great view over the stunning rice terraces, absolute quietness and Grace as a wonderful host. Everything is very simple but clean. We didn't miss anything.

Better in Batad”
Despite making an Agoda reservation far in advance the staff there was unaware and unprepared for our arrival. The place is run by what seems to be a large family. The women in the family are very pleasant but often trying to extract money. The men are aloof or otherwise occupied. During our one night stay the men became very intoxicated and loud. This made for a very uncomfortable and long night. While there was an attempted apology in the morning, there was no offer of compensation. There are places in Batad at lower cost with better service and views just as nice. Reservations not required.

Relaxing little place atop the mountains”
The guesthouse is simple and relaxing. The owner is very approachable and friendly, and really takes care of the guests. We were given suggestions on where to go and were even offered a tour guide to accompany us to the falls. It was a very pleasant experience staying in this little guesthouse.

this home stay is on the top of the rice field, so its very convenient for us. after we reach there , we just put down our luggague and walk down to the rice field without carry any luggage . its very good experience for us .

intresting stay”
The location of this place is amazing and you couldn't ask for a better view. However expect to go back to basics and back to nature. The electric in the room I stayed in was intermittent at best. I ended up sharing another couples room because my single didn't have a mosquito net. The family are friendly and have very sweet children. Saw some fairly big rats so not a place for the faint hearted. There is also additional cost for charging devices. Good for a one night stop over if visiting the near by waterfalls and as I said before the view is out of this world.

Basic accommodation”
The big advantage staying here for an old timer like me was that I did not have to walk all the way down to the village. Great views from the seating area. My room was very basic, backpacker style. The owner's son was the only staff person there. He met me up the mountain at the end of the road and carried my suitcase down and back up which I compensated him for. I was more than happy to pay so that I didn't have to carry my suitcase. He also prepared my meals and organised my Guide for the trek to the waterfall.

Place had a very good atmosphere. Staff were very nice. Location was awesome. Place is simple but clean. Staff were accommodating. A bit cold so pack warm. We went when there was no rice better late January. Swimming in waterfall a must for adventurous.
