Dissatisfied”

Very upset with Agoda for this property. Not as advertised. No hot tub or bar. Hotel has also been changed to a BnB status with only a warning a few weeks before. When I spoke to the hotel they informed me that they have told Agoda this and yet it is still advertised with a hot tub etc. The room was not cleaned of the bed made between the 2 nights that we stayed. We are therefore requesting a partial refund from Agoda as this was not granted by the castle themselves.

Excellent”

Staff was exceptional and the novelty of sleeping in a "castle" was fun for our teenage children. The quirks of living in an old building (narrow stairs, split level room-we stayed in Tintagel family room) added to the charm. Food excellent and close to Bath, with easy access for day trips to Stonehenge, Salisbury, etc.

Quaint historic castle and delicious breakfast. Staff were helpful although I recommend making reservations for dinner there. I assumed as guests we could eat there and it was full. We ended up going to a 700 year old pub a mile away that was delicious!

Old castle with modernized room”

The hotel used to be an old castle. Room was modernized and very clean. Staffs were helpful and service excellence. Parking space is big. Location is a bit far away from Bath city center.

Wow! An unforgettable experience...”

Friendly staff, great food, clean big rooms

Nice little castle with a lot of character. Wayne, the manager was on hand to welcome us upon check-in and was always there to make us feel at home. Mike, the owner was also there to chat with us while we were in the lounge relaxing. They made us feel at home and this certainly enhanced the overall experience. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable with good sized bathroom and bathtub. Everything was well thought of and the decoration and fittings blended in with the character of the hotel. There is a jacuzzi and sauna in a pavillion outside the castle in the garden. Walk further and you can sit next to a creek and relax among the lush greenery of the castle grounds. Breakfast in the morning is great and try the pork belly for lunch to fully appreciate the high standards of the kitchen. Overall an unforgettable experience and we would have loved to stay longer.

Good”
