Great location & price, excellent staff!”
This dive resort has a great location right in the middle of things on Alona Beach. Countless bars and restaurants are on either side, yet inside, it’s quiet. This is not a high amenity/high quality type of place, just good, simple lodging with good AC and hot water with nice sized rooms at a very reasonable rate . Rooms all have nice pool views and on the three upper levels, good beach & sea views as well. During our stay, it was obvious that Baywatch is in the midst of recovering from two disasters; the pandemic (barely any income for two years), and a major typhoon hit in mid-December, 2021 (ripped apart the top floor kitchen and dining room). So, it’s a bit of a work in progress, but one I didn’t mind due to the attention, attitude, and helpfulness of the entire staff, especially Jet, the manager, dive master, and just about everything else! PS - if you’ve never tried scuba diving, this is the place to do it; cost me 50 bucks and it was absolutely amazing! And, be sure and try their (currently?) limited seafood menu, which we call sea boil in the States & Canada!

Good Value for the Price”
If you're not looking for anything fancy but just a place to sleep in, this works great for you. The place is clean but small. They have a small pool but it's deep and not good for kids. The beach is just a short walk. There's plenty of restaurant options nearby.

Nice Place - no parking”
The location is fantastic. However, there are no parking facilities associated with the property and you need to park at the public lot not too far away... To get to the place, you must walk along the beach to access the front of the building. But Hey... the price and location make the walk worth the time!

Good location, not so clean”
Right by the beach which was amazing!! Unfortunately the bathroom was unclean, and hadn't been thoroughly cleaned for sometime. Smell and loose tiles with water under them. The shower had to be held. No top sheet on bed just fleece throw. One clean new looking towel, the other old. Staff were nice. 4th floor for breakfast had a great view. Breakfast wasn't up to much. This place has so much potential and room for improvement!

Pros: good location, few steps to the beach Cons: pool has many dead insects floating, nobody cares to remove it. Pool is not safe for toddlers or children as it is really deep. Night-on-duty guard caught oftentimes sleeping early in his shift. Nobody's watching the pool at night. Swim at your risk. We were served with spoiled rice. One of the rooms we booked had clogged drainage. Ours was very weak water pressure on the sink. Too many stains as we can't wash well on the sink. Wi-Fi was very slow, and you can't even connect most of the time. The fire alarm keeps on beeping. We thought that it was normal until somebody from the other room complained about it (as he was too sensitive). They won't replace the bed linens or sheets unless you request it. Nobody told us about it upon check-in. The staff was a bit rude and sarcastic as if it was our responsibility to tell them. That the housekeeping staff is only available until 5pm, that we should request before it. How would we know? Tsk

Tv not working, smelly room not properly clean, aircon remote control not working and lack of resort staff and kitchen equipments. They are not serving food and no complimentary water inside the room. :(

Hello ma'am! We are very sorry for the experience you had. We just reopened the second week of April this year, just several days prior your arrival, and was using everything we have left to survive and start again. We are still trying to recover from the pandemic and the typhoon that destroyed our kitchen. Together with the staff that whom become a family to us, we are doing our best to get back on our feet. You were able to get a refund when you decided to cancel it when you arrived and checked the room because you said your parents wanted a cable tv, but unfortunately our connection was not yet repaired from the typhoon. Then, you were able to transfer to another hotel right away. and so we did not expect that you would still leave a bad review. We still hope you had a nice vacation. Your review is well appreciated and would become an inspiration for us to get up fast so we can fully operate and eventually, get back to our regular rates. Thank you and God bless!
No wifi. No water, no toilet paper avoid”
Could be a great hotel but it's just overpriced. No wifi available I searched my room and couldn't find any information about wifi. I asked another guests they said it only works outside at ground floor but I dont know how you get the password while nobody is in reception. I had no water at all and no toilet paper so this can leave you in a very bad situation. They fixed it by 1230pm after my checkout time and allowed me to stay longer to have a shower after they fixed water. Great location but I would not stay here again. I never understand why hotels domt drop the wifi password in the room if the staff dont give it either when you check in. Just poor management. With proper management it could be one or the best. I wouldnt swim in the pool.

Top location with nice people”
Unbeatable location on Alona Beach at reasonale price! It locates at center of the beach, close to everything. Room was clean with good AC and hot water. Wifi was only good and fast around 1st floor open area. All people are super nice including the owners. I stayed for 15 days and really enjoyed it. I did not dive with them since the hotel did not have divers when I arrived. It was during very low season. The pool is small, good for a little play and their diving course. I used next door dive shop which was also super cool.

Shower and TV not working as expected”
The Standard Room we stayed in was fine but we were not able to watch on the TV because it seems not working. We were just too tired to go down to the reception to have it checked. There was also no hot water coming out from the shower despite having a hot & cold shower installed. We stayed in 3 different beachfront resorts in Alona Beach - Lost Horizon, Hayahay Resort & Baywatch Dive Resort - at almost the same prices and I was only satisfied with Hayahay Resort. Their rooms are well-maintained, clean and the facilities are working well. The location is also great.

Simple stay, but all we needed.”
If you are looking for a cheap, simple stay, this place will work for you. Extremely close to the beach and everything you need. The Wi-Fi is fast and the staff was really friendly. I think our room was under construction but honestly we didn't mind. It was just a place we needed to rest our head for the night. We skipped out on going to another island, so we stayed in Alona another night. Honestly, we booked so many other rooms that were more expensive than this -- but realized we hardly used any of the amenities at other places. People spend so much time looking for the "perfect place" with everything you want for the right price, but you won't know what you're looking for until the day comes. This stay worked for us!! its a good hotel for travellers who simply wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city and life and just dive their troubles away. the hotel is not the swankiest of hotels in bohol, but for the price, its a pretty ok deal.

The resort is beside Hennan , very close to the beach and restaurants.. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and food served was satisfying and affordable. They accept credit card payments . Wifi signal was slow.

Don’t believe the negative reviews! ”
I was a bit skeptical when I saw this place on Agoda because of all the negative reviews but when I checked in, I was surprised that it was not bad. You’re facing the beach, internet was decent, bathroom was good. I didn’t had any problem with my stay there.

I area is very relaxing and peaceful. I stayed at this hotel two nights but i wish we stayed longer. The stay there is a big difference from the manila. It is nice and peaceful. If you looking for a place to be calm and happy....when visit this hotel .....you will love it.
