Fantastic ”
Spent 2 nights in a beautiful comfortable room with access to back garden. Amenities of high quality as is all the fixtures and fittings. High quality linen and the fluffiest large towels we have had all smelling of flowers. Fridge with bottled water, plenty of coffee and tea with Jan's delicious home made short bread. 2 minute walk to beach and 5 minute walk to great restaurants and city centre. Breakfast made to order with fresh fruits and cereals, juices provided Buffett style. If you are missing your pets at home Goldie the pet dog is a gorgeous old sole who is in the yard for a pat. All in all a wonderful place that we can not fault. Well done Jan and team.

Very pleasant experience due to the friendliness of Jan. The guest house was immaculate and food excellent. The rooms were very clean and furniture to a high standard. Jan made all her guests very welcome and also joined us all in the garden at the end of the evening. The Beaches Guest House also has a turret room with amazing views over to Arran. The room is in the process of being refurbished but we cannot wait to try out "The Penthouse" when it is completed. Will certainly be back for another stay. Jan your shortbread is amazing.

Excellent stay, lovely B&B”
We stayed two nights with Jan, our host, at the end of June. There were 3 of us, myself, my husband, and our 15 yr old son. We booked the triple room which had 1 queen and 1 twin. Beautiful room with direct garden access, a lovely black and white renovated en suite with extra amenities (instant hot water, shampoo, shower gel etc). We were greeted with afternoon tea and homemade shortbread cookies in the garden and given local information about parking, shopping, and restaurants. Breakfast the next morning was made to order and delicious. Couldn't have asked for anything more...well, okay, maybe it would have been nice to have a hairdryer in the room as we had run out of converters and plugs! :) If we ever get back to Ayr, we will surely return to Beaches Guest Cottages.
