Very basic kitchen facilities only one pan to cook with , no tea milk or coffee,so if you arrived late there is nothing to make a drink and no shops on your doorstep, there is no shower mat or handle in the shower as the shower cubicle is very slippery , and trying to arrange access to accommodation with owners such as key collection ect is non existence, we phoned an emailed an no reply, we just turned up hoping for the best, fortunately a local was on hand to point us in the direction of our accommodation an also right outside your door where you sit is the path for people waking there dogs to do there business

Brilliant location, very clean and comfortable will definitely be staying again in the future

Just an unreal location, amazing cottege next to Blencathra mountain. This is not my first time staying here and i hope to come here again...

It just need more pots for cooking and a stronger dining table.

Lovely compact studio with everything you could want, clean with pleasant decor. It gave us a great base for exploring the area around Keswick. We were able to walk to the village along a path to access 2 local pubs, with one along the road in the other direction.

Very minor point - a larger pan would have been handy!

Having to find the accommodation having arrived at the farm. There is no reception and no help. Considerable noise from the laundry room. No information about the accommodation or area. WiFi pass is on a scruffy piece of paper. Old outdated decor, ok if you like plastic flowers. Despite request for help from owner, never had a reply.

The only thing that made this holiday home not perfect was that there was no hand soap in the bathroom. Only a small thing but perhaps a note to bring our own would have solved this issue

The canteen is a single room with the double bed at one end; a comfortable two-seater settee in the middle; an excellent television on the wall, which can be watched from the bed or the settee and an excellent kitchen area at the other end. There are bedside tables with lamps and excellent louvre blinds on the doors and windows. Entry is via patio doors which make the apartment light and airy. Parking is immediately outside - very convenient. There is an excellent combi microwave - with instructions - a good quality 4-slice toaster, electric kettle and a good two-ring ceramic/induction hob. There was crockery and cutlery There are sharp knives, scissors, kitchen utensils, a milk jug, washing up liquid, cleaning materials and but no liquid handsoap. A very small semicircular table with two good chairs. The towels are sufficient and the bed was a little uncomfortable. The heating was effective although the radio was noisy during the night making a clanging sound. The bathroom, with heated towel rail, was cosy. The shower is excellent and roomy. Being set apart, it is private and the site is very quiet. It should bekept in mind that this accommodation is in the Lake District and both mountains and weather have a detrimental effect on mobile phone signals. And even though the room was quoted as having WIFI we really struggled to get any signal at all.

A difficult location to find, better directions or even mention the apartments are located on Doddick Farm. There was no information regarding collection of keys, only found out that they would be left in the door after reading the reviews. It is advertised as a 1 bed apartment however it is actually a studio apartment. The facilities listed free toiletries but there were none. The pillows were uncomfortable and could do with being replaced. The WIFI is shared by all cottages on the site and therefore is not effective. We were unable to acess it at all during our say and with the remoteness of the location and no mobile phone signal. This can be an issue. And lastly on re reading the reviews i see people have mentioned some of the issues I've mentioned but nothing has been addressed. Which is a great shame.

The location was superb. The Canteen was absolutely fantastic .very clean ,compact and peaceful . bed very comfy shower really good and the whole apartment had good heating.we would reccomend.poor WiFi, but we were alerted to this beforehand. Value for money.

It was clean and had most things to stay for long weekend. Could be improved by having bigger bath towels and maybe need curtains up as could see it be very light at nighttime in summer but apart from that had a great stay

A previous review was critical of the settee but it is comfortable and clean with a fleecy cover. I much prefer this style of settee to cold leather or faux leather. There are bedside tables with lamps and excellent louvre blinds on the doors and windows. Entry is via patio doors which make the apartment light and airy. Parking is immediately outside - very convenient. There is an excellent combi microwave - with instructions - a good quality 4-slice toaster, electric kettle and a good two-ring ceramic/induction hob. Tablemats, fruit bowl; a small semicircular table with two good chairs. There was a vase of real flowers:) The towels are beautiful and the bed is comfortable. The bed linen was excellent quality. The heating was super-effective and the bathroom, with heated towel rail, was cosy. The shower is excellent and roomy. Being set apart, it is private and the site is very quiet. Lucy, in the first cottage along, is a part of the company and very friendly and helpful. It should be born in mind that this accommodation is in the Lake District and both mountains and weather have a detrimental effect on mobile phone signals. Reception is possible but not superb:) Also, much depends on your phone. My husband's phone obtained signal more often than mine.

1. There are only two small frying pans and a small saucepan - I would recommend one more, larger saucepan. 2. . I would recommend a couple of glass tumblers to complement the pint glasses and the single glass tumbler (plus whisky glass) which are there. Not essential, just desirable. 3. The table is barely adequate for two. If I were eating all my meals at home, I might prefer a slightly larger (foldaway?) table but, for us, this was okay. 4. I would recommend new pillows. 5. It should be noted that the wifi is shared by all of the cottages on the site and therefore not really effective. I could only access it when sitting outside in my car. My husband could occasionally get onto it from inside the room, but it was constantly dropping out. NONE of these points went anywhere near spoiling our stay. We were delighted with the accommodation.

i have been sitting in my car waiting for check in,i got info about keys from man parking next to me (blue taxi car) he told me no one is coming but property is open and keys are at the door. i would like to know this before arriving.

Premises were fantastic and proprietor was most helpful when we reported a faulty TV, he replaced it within a few hours.
