Offering free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and TV in its traditionally decorated rooms, B&B Kotoni is housed in a 3 centuries old historic landmark in the UNESCO-protected town of Gjirokastër. Made from Ottoman stone, all rooms are hand built, including handmade wooden ceilings. The à la carte restaurant serves traditional Albanian specialities. There is a bus station just 50 metres from the Kotoni, while the Gjirokastër Obelisk and Mosque are within easy walking distance. The famous Gjirokastër Fortress and the Ethnographic Museum are 200 metres away. The old Bazaar is at a distance of 300 metres from the Kotoni B&B.

B&B Kotoni was set in a lovely location high up in the town with views over the town and castle, and to the mountains in the distance. The building was about 250 years old and our bedroom was very cosy with a wooden carved ceiling and great views. The young lady who ran the accommodation was very helpful, and also cooked our traditional (and substantial) breakfast and dinner in the restaurant located at ground level which was a traditional room with lots of carved wood and a small bar. We really enjoyed our stay here and we very much recommend the Kotoni to anyone contemplating staying in Gjirokastra.

Unforgettable stay”

Owners, homeliness, value

Vita and her husband, the owners, were the most warm and welcoming hosts we have experienced in the Balkans. They did everything to advise us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was great and Vita even made us packed breakfasts on days where we were up earlier than breakfast started. The house is lovely and authentic and it's position in the old town is perfect. I highly recommend B&B Kotoni.

Le lit le plus confortable de toute l'Albanie ! Broderies et dentelles locales decorent murs et meubles, gardant un style vivant et personnel. Maison vieille de 300 ans bien entretenue !
