Good for a do over”
I wanted a cheap need for the night and this served the purpose. It was the cheapest (though not cheap) option. Good: shower, clean No so good: very warn stair carpet, there was tea and coffee in the room but no decaffeinated option. Would I stay again? Yes.

A drab uninviting building a functional but grim looking reception an out of order lift and a bleak grubby corridor - however get to the room and although dated it was functional clean and big for London-the bathroom was large but clean - the water hot and plentiful- and when you remember how cheap it is then it’s a good buy and I would stay again!

Kettle”
Discovered late in the evening that the kettle in my room didn't work. I asked reception for a replacement but was told that there weren't any and that, because all rooms were booked, one couldn't be borrowed from another room. Irritating! Otherwise the room was pretty good. The shower was wonderfully powerful and hot. The bath could have done with a bath mat to prevent slipping. Breakfast was a bit rudimentary but okay.

Disappointing”
Pros: excellent location, friendly staff (Indian guys), varied breakfast Cons: extremely noisy room because of the crapy windows (the staff confirmed all the rooms are the same) we could hear all the car noises outside so we could not get a proper sleep, the radiator, which was extremely close to the bed, was full of dust, same was the ventilation system in the bathroom (which was not functioning anyway), the bathroom sink water handle was broken, same was the one of the shower doors

The room has I think no more than 20 m square- it is the smallest room in a hotel I have ever seem. I will not recommend it...

Room acceptable for price, ensuite clean & good shower, some lights not working, one light had bare wires, only one set of towels and one cup, for double room, supplied on request. The Double Bed was poor, it was a small double, moved around on its wheels and the mattress was very poor, it was obviously very old and worn.

This is a Hostel not hotel”
Where do I begin?? You are required to pay a 60£ security deposit on arrival - this needs to be advised when/before booking. Card only as the staff can't accept cash. The rooms are falling apart - cracks on furniture and walls, rust and ware on most items in the room. One window wouldn't open, the other fell out of its frame. The curtain fell down as I closed it for the night. The taps in the shower are labelled wrong so I got 1st degree burns all down the front of my body. The shower door fell off and I had to fix it to shower. On the upside, the bed gave me decent nights of sleep and it's in a great location. There is little love and care in this hostel.
