Good location but needs room updates”

the location is pretty good but the rooms need updating especially carpeting. they had just painted my room recently and the paint fumes were fairly overwhelming but they were painting everywhere so the paint smell was everywhere. the breakfast buffet was nice but not a traditional western style breakfast. nonetheless the olives and cheese varieties were very good. get to breakfast about 8am or it wont be fully set up and your choices are limited before then. the staff is helpful and all speak and understand good english. the internet is very slow and not free so its better to seek wifi outside at starbucks or other coffee houses of course they aren't free either.

several employees were extremely helpful. i left my purse in restaurant and retrieved it from front desk with all its contents. the internet needs to be drastically improved. you pay for one hour and about 20 minutes are spent resolving problems.

Cons: Wifi doesn't work and always dropping. Don't depend on front desk to woke you up. Not comfortable beds. Pros: close to hamra and airport. Staff were respectful and helpful.

Good for the price”

The hotel is very average. I've visited Beirut before and I've been in other very good hotels in the area for the same price. I was the before the New Year, so this could be the reason why I didn't enjoy my stay there. With that said, Bella Riva is a good hotel for such a location but it needs some work to be done in the rooms. The locals in the area are amazing. My experience with Lebanese people was nothing but best. You won't have any issues with the language. Every person speaks at least 3 languages (Lebanese, French and Arabic). They are very welcoming and would go out of their way just to help you. I'm sure you'd love the people and food there and the hotel is not bad at all. It just can be a little better to deserve a better rating.

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Die abendliche Spaziergänge an der Seepromenade waren wunderschön und auch zur Hamrastr. ist es nicht weit. In der Lobby gibt es kostenlosen Internerzugang. Das Frühstück war nicht so ganz nach unserem Geschmack, aber damit läßt sich leicht leben. Ich würde das Hotel wieder nehmen.
